Since 1 month ago this phone worked really well. But a month ago the accelerometer stopped working, and since then it's on and off...I want to take it to warranty, because I tried three different kdz and the problem still persist so I'm quite sure it's a hardware error.
My question is because the accelerometer works for 1-2 days if you restart the phone, will the guys from warranty have problems in diagnosting the error? I don't want to sent it to warranty just to stay without the phone for 2 weeks and to get it back same way...Here is how the CPU-Z show the problem!

Ok so I had one TyTN for a few months and then had hardware issues with it so Rogers replaced it and then my new one within two days of having it the phone gets really hot and if it's fully charged it will only run in standby with blacked out screen for like 3 hours and be totally dead...
Nothing is running what so ever.... have changed the rom two times and still seem to have the same problem...
Anyone with suggestions??
I'm guessing it's a hardware issue and they said they would send another one out making it my THIRD tytn... I'm about ready to call it quits with them...
Hi all,
I just got off the phone with HTC, well actually EuroTwice - a company in Belgium that repairs or replaces htc phones. They helped me before - last month actually when my microphone stopped working as it should. Their service is great, my phone was picked up, repaired under warranty and returned after 14 days.
But today disaster struck again. I was at my grandma, sending a nephew a picture of 'our' granny over MSN and all of a sudden the display of my phone went all garbled and the device soft-resetted itself. It rebooted well, but crashed again trying to reconnect to MSN. For good, this time - it won't switch on anymore. Actually, it won't do anything now; no LEDs blinking, no backlights, no USB connection, no charging - no nothing
So I phoned up HTC and they will be picking up the phone tomorrow (GOOD service!). Only this time I won't have a chance to undo all the HardSPL-and-reflashing tricks I performed over the past two weeks. Itje's ROMs are super and stable, but I wonder what EuroTwice is going to say if they find it on my device. "You installed batterystatus to overclock your device, sir!" Think they will mind?
I'll update this post when I know what they'll do. Please bear with me for -yet another- two heraldless months
Cheers!
I was just wondering, but does HTC perform truly extensive tests to ensure that the problem with a device in present? The reason I ask this is because even on stock winmo, my HD2 suffers from random reboots, sometimes it may take almost 3 hours, sometimes 30 minutes. I am sure this is not rom or battery pin related.
I suspect that they will do as few tests as possible for them to find a fault or decide there is no fault.
When I RMA anything I always include a full explanation of what, how and when it fails and how to recreate it if possible - it normaly works
That is what I was afraid of. I do not want HTC testing it for 5 minutes and decide there was no random reboot.
just got my hd2 back from them yesterday not only did they replace my screen they fixed my camera and outer case for no extra charge, 120 cheaper then insurance and less hoops to jump through , although after you recieve email that says they got your phone call them dont wait for call back wouldve saved me 5 days still all said and done 2 weeks 120 and almost a brand new phone hope this helps
Was your touchscreen dead? I am supposing that that is a easy test for HTC. But trying to a find random reboot?
If I had to guess, I'd say that their process is something like this....
Check for obvious hardware fault...
If found, fix it or send out a refurb
If it's not a hardware issue, check SPL...... If its stock, reflash. If it's not, send it back.

I just purchased this phone and I am having a problem with the touchscreen not working correctly, at seemingly random times (but very often). The screen, as well as the capacitive buttons, will freeze up and I have to lock/unlock the screen for them to work again. Sometimes it will freeze up after only one touch after the screen is unlocked, other times it can be a good ten minutes of working fine. I've tried factory resetting it and the issue is still there.
If its that new try a factory data reset. settings/ privacy/ factory data reset. If it doesn't solve it return it and get a new one.

I tried that already but the problem persists. I would return it but I've already had to return one for a different problem and would not like to do that again as the seller doesn't pay for return shipping and it took about two weeks for me to get the replacement, especially if I am just going to get another phone with issues.
I had a simmalar problem took it to the store I got it from and they sent it to Motorola and 1week later I got it back with replaced screen and internals. Worked good ever since.
Ps Mabey third time will be the charm.
I guess it's just a hardware problem then? I might hold onto it for a bit and then if it gets worse I'll send it to Motorola since the factory warranty should cover it, right? (last night it's been a little better since I took out my sd card, I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence though)
hey guys i need some help.. a few months ago my j500h was dropped in water i took out the battery and got it dried. it worked fine but as soon as i played a video its screen got blanked out.. anyhow I got this issue fixed but the problem i am facing is that my wifi and bluetooth are not working... a few days earlier I went to a local mobile shop.. i told him everything he said that it might be a software problem.. he did some troubleshooting but at the end he told me it might be the hardware.. when i got home I opened the wifi and was surprised to see it was detecting the wifi networks but it lasted only 15-20 mins.. after that i tried to turn off and on it several times and it would detect on or two networks.. so i tried reflashing the software and there it was again gone forever... Is there a way to get it working again.
Most probably there must be some problem in your board due to water. Seems like hardware issue.
