Updated 7SEP15:
UNOFFICIAL "OFFICIAL" XPOSED BY WANAM NOW AVALIABLE FOR 5.1.1 TW, find it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=62377731
Its still not avaliable yet but there is news... from @arter97's thread:
[UNOFFICIAL] Xposed for Samsung Lollipop by arter97
Another exciting changes are under testings.
This new changes by @rovo89 and @wanam has removed the needs of custom core-libart.jar, which should help compatibility including the famous Email app crashes that few users are reporting.
Android 5.1 is also planned to be supported.
I had ported Galaxy S5's Android 5.1 to Galaxy S4 LTE-A just to do Xposed testings. lol
Thumbs up - if you're excited!
This is the 1st official, unofficial mention of support coming for our 5.1 TW that I know of. Just thought I'd pass it along since so many seem very interested.
He has v71 up and running already
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
v71 works on aosp roms. This is talking about getting it going on TW.
Xposed Installer v72 may not have been tested on the Note 4 yet that I'm aware of but targeted to all Android 5.1 ROMs, including Odex but considered experiential for test volunteers. I'm not on OG5 but interested in this outcome. Anyone try it yet?

On one of the posts he shows v71 running on a TW5.1.1 rom now i said he has one up and running most likely his own beta but not that he uploaded it for everyone.

A few pictures are worth a lot. Xposed "seems" to be working. For good sake make a backup before flashing. Took about 3-5 minutes on spark screen before sorting apps and finishing boot.

There is s problem with root privileges and system ui. I have seen this before in previous "unoffical" versions of xposed and believe it will get fixed. In the mean time this is VERY BETA for some functions in wanam for lollipop (long press back to kill for example) the only way to keep it working is to set SU to grant all requests. Not a very wise thing to do imho.

What about using this with su prompt?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=59062345
It works without Xposed but I think it uses a slightly different su permission; may work with prompt and the Wanam back to kill unchecked. Just need to set this in the build.prop to prevent the launcher from being killed unless you use aggressive desktop in Nova Launcher.

I'm familiar with the app and you are right on point it is a viable substitute for the xposed function. What I'm trying to point out is that there is a problem with this framework for xposed, that I'm sure will get fixed. But in the mean time when the bug occurs it often leads to the whole rom locking up because you wind up with system uid being denied admin authority. I've already had to restore a backup and start over again because of it this evening. Don't want to give anyone the impression that we're golden at this point.

Are you going to try it and report reliability on that alternate option?
I've been slow to adopt the latest updates; still on OB7 with not so much as a backup for OG5. I'm not even close with a custom flash either.
Probably still deodexed requirement, right? v72 may bring back Odex compatibility but this is still v71 or custom based on v72 Xposed Installer?

The current "beta" framework referenced above is I'm sure for deodexed. With the SU settings changed as I mentioned before it's running workout issues. A few screens showing some wanam mods, Screenshot on reboot menu, centered clocked, remove bat icon, quick setting icon backgrounds. ..

Icon pack is Whicons avaliable free from the play store. I also use Icon Changer again free on the play store to modify icons not included in Whicons. And lastly I use Nova Prime launcher which let's you easily modify icon size and page grids.

Anyone else using this successfully on our sprint note 4? Is it stable? Just want to hear more opinions before I leave kitkat for 5.1.1 and possibly risking the ability to downgrade back to kitkat

You don't have to lose that ability to go back to KitKat. Just Odin OB7 stock tar and then Odin this, following the OP.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=62274955
I'm overdue for this myself. I'm on OB7 Xposed with arter97 framework, OG5 modem and Beastmode kernel but wanting the OG5 update with Xposed.
Xposed with OB7 bootloader may be of little value going forward but something to try without risking the loss if KitKat.
Don't forget, you need deodexed ROM before trying Wanam Xposed framework. You still need rovo89 Xposed Installer apk.
Reports are good. Obviously, I haven't tried yet.

Hi guys...
Welcome to my work....
PA-ROM has been build from SHV-E250 stock firmware (TW 4.3)... this it the first version, but it smooth and stable.....
Change log - Ver 1.0.1:
- Base SHV-E250 TW 4.3
- Deodexed, zippaligned
- Rooted
- Tweaked, init.d
- 4 way reboot
- Disable cache across OS
- 2 virtual button (lock + home) on startusbar
- Knox free
- ...
Link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/shve250jb43/files/PA-ROM/
How to install:
- If your phone on 4.1.2 you have to flash stock firmware first. Link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/shve250jb43/files/Stock_ROOTED/ Down load 3 files and use Hjsplit to join it then flash via Odin3.07
- In CWM, make full wipe then format cache, system, data also
- Flash PA-ROM...
- Everything done
Special thanks to: @wanam, dr.ketan
Recommend you choose PA-ROM.... Ver1.0.1
Nice to see continued support for our Korean variants.
Thanks for the hard work, mate!
If I'm on CM10.2, do I still need to flash stock firmware too?

PA-Rom over Knoxed ROM
Hi..
I upgraded my E250 with stock 4.3 ROM,
- i am getting a very bad battery life due to mdm_ keeping the phone awake
if i root using Chainfire CF method and remove the KNox files and the MDM apps
- i get IMSFramework error
if i root is using direct SU flashing and remove KNox files and the MDM apps
- i get IMSframework error but after sometime
so basically i realize that i made a mistake by upgrading to 4.3
can i install PA-ROM on a SHV250S which has been upgraded to 4.3 stock (I understand the bootloader has been upgraded and carries Knox components which need to disabled)
Please guide
Cheers

PA-Rom tried
Hi..
I upgraded my SHV-e250s to stock 4.3 and then rooted it, faced
- issue with poor battery life (from 18hrs to 5hrs .. extensive sue)
- when i rooted using the CF approach or direct approach - got IMSframework error
- phone not going into deep sleep at all
tried to install OmniRom 4.4 with bootloader converter
- OmniRom installed very nicely... but there was no GSM signal
tried installing using CWM for SHV,but no luck
(must say i am looking forward to 4.4 for SHV!)
finally i tried PA-rom
Pros
- installation was smooth.. no issues
- exact copy of Stoock ROM 4.3 but without KNOX
- rooted and working (no IMSframework error)
- completely bloatware free (though only 3 SKT application still there-- do not know why, but due t my bad experience with deleting apps and getting IMSFramework error... i have not done anything)
- every thing works
Cons
- some key stock applications missing (like Digital clock widget, Video player.....)
- very bad mod for Notification icons especially Battery and CLock font ..........can we go back to Stock (please guide how)
- excessive delay in waking up the phone... need a solution
- sometime delay is so much that you need to reboot to recover
- Smart launcher locker... not working ... causing phone not to come out of deep sleep
- not much mods...
biggest delta... no conference call capability in the dialer (call merge not there) and no call waiting option... even if enabled by operator.......need a Mod for this please
I am happy.. please use it without fear
Thanks.. looking forward to 4.4
SMS Still Limited
The only thing I want to change is SMS because it converts to MMS after 160 words.
Change it to international if possible. Thanks.
Anyway great rom so far

your ROM is great gives me all what I want and have been using this for 4 weeks now with out any issues
need help on few issues
1. Battery life is very bad used to get ~36hrs with 4.1.2 but now get only 16hrs with 4.3 .... can anything be done... Phone never goes to deep sleep, mdm_msic_pm0 keeps it awake all the time. is there a compatibiity issues between modem and RIL in 4.3?
2. I want call conference capability (Operator has already enabled and works on my old S2), how do I get the feature.. Razven had suggested to flash stock 7015 secphone.apk but due to 4.1.2 / 4.3 issues got an error
3. how do i revert to 100%stock look and feel - the battery icon and the clock icon in the notification bar
4. i find that there are are incompatibiity issues with Xposed framework... uninstalled it and it works like a charm
5. I-WLAN... what is this for... i am in India do i need this
6. com.skt.tbmom 1.0.1 - do i need this
7. skt hidden menu / diagnosis... if i remove this i am getting IMSframework error
8. where can i get stock kernel and modem ... so that if i flash another kernel / modem to check on battery issue, i can revert back to stock
Happy new year to all

Hi.. have you been using Xposed Framework...i have found that few modules of this framework are causing this, remove it and do a cache and partition wipe...
i had this problem a couple of times and had to be careful in what i install... the ROM is a bit sensitive if you play too much with removing components it give IMSFramework errors ...the base Sammy 4.3 is the culprit

No I did not get the flickering screen after rooting, but cf-autoroot means of rooting this device on stock rom 4.3 version for this device.. it gives framework errors.
PA- Rom is pre rooted
but please note.. 4.3 is a battery drainer (from 36hrs to 16hrs), i reverted back to 4.1.2 version and i do not think i will upgrade till i hear that battery life is back to normal (there seems to be some RIL-Modem compatibility issue in 4.3 version)... i will give 4.3 a skip as there are not many changes in this upgrade from 4.1.2
Cheers

It's the inevitable questions people have and/or will have about the note 12.2 since it is new.
I know on note 10.1 2014, it took a long time before people would ask around for people to develop. If you ask (with $$ of course) maybe the developers will come....

Hey that's great to hear about the LTE tablet you are getting. Let me know if it runs smoothly. Of course, all of the 12 ' s are basically the same thing, just different components. give me a holler when you get it. I've heard good things about that particular model. I've already removed all of the TouchWiz, and unfortunately removing that would also disable the Magazine ux, however I got that back working now. Take a look at my screen and drawer real estate I got implemented in my test ROM.

Hello all! Newbie here, recently switched from an iphone to an Android (Definitely not a decision I'm regretting). I have the Sprint LS980 LG G2 on the shipping firmware (Jellybean, 4.2 I believe) I've already got it rooted, but no custom recovery nor custom ROM installed. Now, I was doing some reading and found the only way to tether (without pdanet) would be to flash a custom ROM that removes the check to see if I have the tethering plan. (Apologies if this topic is against the rules, but I don't think it is, I read the rules.)
I'm pretty well with technology and can likely get through the flashing process myself, I just have a few questions first.
1. Custom recoveries- TWRP is the only one I've heard of, and from what I understand custom recoveries are important since data can be lost during a flash, should I use TWRP or do you suggest a different one?
2. The ROM, what size are ROM files generally? I can't download super large files due to slow connection.
3. Can I get a ROM just like stock Jellybean that just has the hotspot check removed? I'm just now learning stock Android and am not ready to learn an entirely new custom ROM.
Thank you every one for help in advance. I will be doing reading on the subject while waiting on responses so I might update the post if I find an answer elsewhere. Thanks again!

ok first we need to know exactly what update are you on in settings>about phone>software version and the build number should have the version you are on, of course you can also share a screenshot of that screen better safe than sorry this way I can recommend an install method for twrp(there is also cwm and philz but I think that twrp is best for beginners) and if you want to stock experience but are only interested in the hotspot mod then after you get custom recovery you can just flash the mod just mentioned also all stock related roms range from 1gb-2gb depends on what's included
p.s. (after getting custom recovery make sure you don't update via ota or you will bootloop/soft brick)

Reading into the hotspot mod you linked now, thanks again.
Won't accept any OTA updates, I've actually had an OTA update downloaded since I got the phone but haven't installed it, would there be any way to delete the downloaded update and prevent it from redownloading? (the notification is a tad annoying, no big deal if not though)

I think update that is pending is zvc/zvb(both of them are kitkat for your phone), I know on my device I renamed the lgfota.apk/odex to lgfota.apk.bak/lgfota.odex.bak(this means they aren't deleted but the phone can't update) but since it's already downloaded don't do this, I think you should ota since you still don't have custom recovery and it will either succeed and things will be awesome or fail and just say you are suspected of rooting
what to do after ota:
-if it succeeds and you uodate to 4.4.2zvc/zvb
you will rename the lgfota.apk/odex to lgfota.apk.bak/lgfota.odex.bak so that no more updates happen and then use autorec to install custom recovery
-if it fails and you stay on 4.2zva
you will rename the lgfota.apk/odex to lgfota.apk.bak/lgfota.odex.bak so that if update redownloads it won't install after we get custom recovery, also for custom recovery you will download freegee from playstore and use it to install custom recovery

no need to unroot just ota the reason for this is so that we can rename lgfota safely if it updates then awesome and if it doesn't then it won't be a problem also I updated my last post with further instructions because I'm getting sleepy and am taking precautionary measures in case I fall asleep so that you know what to do

Well, appears I've lost root access during the update, and IOroot isn't working? Am I doing something wrong? I'm following the same instructions as before using IOroot 25. USB debugging, charge only mode, airplane mode, then it enters recovery mode (Oddly it didn't even enter recovery mode on the first root) and I choose adb as it instructs me to, then I press any key as instructed and then IOroot just closes and the phone just waits. Anything I'm doing wrong?
Edit: Manually rooted, problem solved.

Installed TWRP and flashed the file successfully, however sadly it did not work. However, I found someone suggesting "Wifi Tether Router" from the play store, works perfectly. Thanks for all the help again
So, due to recent events (probably really young kids spamming the threads of various dead or no-longer-maintained ROMs) I have decided to make this guide. for everyone.
THIS IS THE ROM YOU SHOULD BE USING: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358542421
Unofficial CyanogenMod 11, compiled by @Unjustified Dev. dated june 4th, 2014.
Now, flashing this ROM is actually kinda difficult. We don't have an active official CM maintainer anymore and TWRP bricks people's phones. So here is the best method of flashing it. (disclaimer: if you're on the stock Samsung ROM, flash cm10.1 and refer to this guide if necessary. this is a clickable link.)
Now, after flashing cm10.1, follow these steps to flash cm11:
1. make a nandroid backup
2. wipe data/factory reset
3. flash cm11. you will probably get an error (probably along the lines of set_metadata_recursive). this is okay. reboot recovery. (advanced options in the main menu)
4. you might see some different bootlogos. this is a good sign. hopefully you'll see a clockworkmod version 6+. this is also a good sign.
5. repeat steps 2 and 3 and then flash whatever google apps package you want. the official one actually isn't bad. http://goo.im/gapps
After all of that, you should be good. If you do get bricked, fear not, you can always use Odin to flash the stock firmware again and use this guide if necessary: click here for the guide of wonderfulness
I dont actually own this phone anymore, so asking for help will probably get you nowhere. I'm sure Android L or whatever might be easier for us to work with unless the recovery devs have higher requirements for their stuff.
I was asking for a working link the other day for an old ROM.. Oh well, I am not a young kid though..This is what it will say when your successful. I rom'd a few times tonight on my kids phone and had no problems flashing through 4.2.2 to 4.4.2 ..

And thanks for the guide and the heads up last week on the cm11 stability. Its been a good ROM so far except I noticed I couldn't install the last update of minecraft PE 0.9.5 on my kids phone as he has had it since 4.2.2 running without issue. I tried to install the the zip on my phone too, got the files from apkgalaxy where I've been getting most paid apps for a while now. Only this ROM will not let minecraft install.. Weird.. when I didn't have this issue on DU 4.4.2, hellybean 4.2.2 , or avatar 4.2.2. And I also notice each time I download a zip from apkgalaxy as soon as I hit the download button, internet explorer and chrome both have issues closing out.. But I haven't noticed anything that would make me not want the ROM as its nice.
Is "flashify" the way to go now ? Or our tried and true method ? Just wondering .
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA Free mobile app
I used flashify to flash a kernel that wouldn't flash in recovery. Than I also got another phone that was on cwm 4.0.6.1 a 4.2.2 build I believe to flash through ROM manager when I kept getting can't mount errors when entering cwm recovery. I used the rom manager to push TWRP than got it onto the 4.4.2 unjust 6/04 build its on now after a few cm11 flashes. So there are a few ways to go about it at least for me I've used a couple different ways when I didn't have my laptop handy and would screw up or get errors. Google always fixes my problems as dumb as I am too this all after 4+years of rooting. Still learning..

haven't tried flashify, plus i dont have this phone anymore, i upgraded to the s4. locked bootloader ;__;
Well, after many attempts I've only been able to get cm9 up and running. Tried first to Odin back to stock and then 10.1 ( using both droidstyles and the noob guide to kit Kat ) , also tried TWRP , without success. No idea what went wrong.

ok so when you flash cm11 using the cm10.1 clockworkmod image, it will give you an error. after that you have to reboot recovery and flash cm11 again
you have to flash it twice, especially when using clockworkmod. twrp i heard you can just flash once but you have to have a really recent version of twrp (2.6.3.0) and not only is that hard to come by for this phone but it can brick your phone.. i know that the cm11 kernel hhp made bricked my phone before, and i flashed that before cm11.. idk i probably wasnt supposed to
How doesn't ROM manager premium work on this phone? You know I'm dumb to all this so I take your advice serious on these things. I am asking because I used it to push TWRP when I kept getting constant can't mount errors when trying to flash the cm11 build on my sons phone when he was on a cwm 4.0.6.1 4.2.2 build I believe, and I couldn't flash a twrp rom without the can't mount . it got me through to the 6/04 unjust 4.4.2 after some unknown flashing around . I know I didn't follow a guide since I had errors and googled my can't mount errors
Last night/this morning I reflashed his phone down to the slimroms 4.2.2 7/08 build though due to mine craft not installing on cm11 4.4.2. I had no problems going from the 4.4.2 back to a 4.2.2 . I usually don't have problems that cause me to have to re Odin eh03 but when I started rooting I usually would Odin. Now its been all from recovery or the flashify and ROM manager I've used when rooting. No PC needed

well i think why the "rom manager doesnt really work" statement goes around is that people would try to flash cwm through rom manager and it would actually brick their phones. that didnt happen to me but i did try it and the recovery couldnt mount anything aka it was a bad recovery. but if it worked for you, hey, that's actually pretty cool. might not work for everyone though
OK maybe I've been out of the flashing loop to long lol. I am a recovering flash addict , I tried many if not all of the cool newest roms using droidstyles guide. Guessing now I just need the most recent files for cm10 and cm11.

Thanks, skeptic. 5 days and no regrets with CM11. I've had some phantom keys, but stable so far. Looks like Unjust could get a substantial donation
Still no luck. Can't get the cm10.1 to install today. Keeps aborting. Frustrating to say the least.

Damn. That is frustrating for sure. Its been a week and no luck, I can't help any more then I've read here and a few other fascinate forums. That's weird mine flashed to the CM11 without those errors on two devices mine and my sons. I took his from the 4.4.2 cm11 back down to a 4.2.2 ROM so he could play minecraft without using a computer/odin or usb for anything. I'm sure someone will help get it though.
Where do I get a stock ROM? I've tried many links but haven't been able to find one that works.

Have you ever thought that maybe we need the error to help you?
Im going to take a guess that its trying to read the build.prop and you wiped.
If so, then you need to remove the build.prop asserts from the updater-script
It shoudl be the first few lines.

he ended up fixing it :good:
i think he odin'd stock, then went to cm10.1, then to kitkat possibly using my method
As the title says, not just the launcher but the whole system.
I think you'd have to flash the xposed framework and use unicon to theme it, or you can apply the themes from the galaxy themes store, which also change the icons system wide.
Hope I helped!
I am interested in this too. Samsung has the worst icons and kid-like colors. Coming from HTC, I can't stand the TouchWiz theme. I was forced to install Nova launcher, but I would like settings to be themed aswell. I saw a screenshot of someone's modified settings theme and I think he, too, claimed he used Xposed. I have Xposed installed, but I don't know what to search for in Xposed to have my settings change color. He had a 'double row' mod that also changed the skin. Anyone know how?

Cause of Knox and I used to go crazy with rooting and custom ROMs and kernels on my nexus 4 but all it did for me was introduce bugs and reduce performance. Besides, how would I even root without losingh everything I have atm? It'd be such a huge pain.
Yeah I wouldn't mess with kernel modifications. I just root stock for AdAway or use the most stable ROM nothing too crazy.

What do you mean by "losing everything you have atm"? CF-Autoroot doesn't require wiping anything, only flash custom ROMs do.
