I'm using CM12.1 last nightly and it has slowly charging ~ about 700mA.
I tried the stock kernel and the Render ones, still the same.

Hello, first post here to ask this question (been hanging around just looking and leeching information)
I have I337 and currently run pure stock CM 10.2 latest nightlys
I used to run different kernels for Fast Charge, but for whatever the reason, most kernels were crashing on me regularly during daily use
I tested with just vanilla CM kernel that came with the rom and had no crash
I decided to just get the source code for CM and apply the patch myself and tried googling how to patch fast charge but I was unsuccessful in finding a way to do so.
I have some experience with C and Java but I have never compiled a kernel from source.
So how would one go by doing this?
Which kernel supports usb fast charge for cm 12.1?... i cant find any except for faux' kernel and his doesnt support android 5.1/cm 12.1 :/

I had the same issue ... I am now with MIUI base KK and charging is perfect ...
Quick question here regarding multirom and liquid smooth, not sure of its just with liquid or not but when applying multirom and selecting stock 5.1.1 as the kernel (liquid as far as I know is aosp based) it boots fine but the colors on the screen are very yellow, I'm guessing that would be on a kernel level. Any input would be great from any multirom users. As my n4 is now an experimental toy now lol
I have the same issue, I tried AK and HC kernels, neither worked. Minimal OS 5.1.1
Okay, I installed OmniROM and it's working perfectly. See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/orig-development/mako-omnirom-5-0-nexus-4-t3042380
There's only one kernel for i9500 CM, and after flashing LWK 20.4 my wifi stopped working and I've just dirty flashed CM12.1 on my phone again.
Well, since I can't post on development forum: is there anyone that can help me with this?
The original reason I've dabbled with kernels is the abhorrent battery life I was getting out of my box. Like, 6-10 hours with little to no usage!
When I've first installed gearCM about 5 months ago, battery life was tolerable. Not as good as stock firmware, but good enough to last the day. I've installed OTA updates every few weeks and after the latest such event (~2 weeks ago?) my battery just started to drain.
I've re-installed another rom, Resurrection Remix 5.5.8, which still drained battery. Now I'm on official CM 12.1 latest nightly. Google services crashes every now and then. I haven't really gotten a chance to test battery life, but I'm pessimistic.
What can I do about a good and functioning kernel with a stable ROM? (no TW please)
CM and CM-based roms I like most, but if LWK isn't going to work on them, what other ROM would you recommend?
Try PAC ROM 5.1.1
Hi,
Try GearMod kernel and let me know.
