Quick question here regarding multirom and liquid smooth, not sure of its just with liquid or not but when applying multirom and selecting stock 5.1.1 as the kernel (liquid as far as I know is aosp based) it boots fine but the colors on the screen are very yellow, I'm guessing that would be on a kernel level. Any input would be great from any multirom users. As my n4 is now an experimental toy now lol
I have the same issue, I tried AK and HC kernels, neither worked. Minimal OS 5.1.1
Okay, I installed OmniROM and it's working perfectly. See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/orig-development/mako-omnirom-5-0-nexus-4-t3042380

I've had quite a lot of issues concerning smoothness and speed on my C5303 Xperia SP running any ROM based off of CyanogenMod. Changing gapps have helped somewhat (I use PA Pico gapps now) and have wiped (dalvik) cache, wiped data, switched ROMs etcetera. I don't expect it to be as fast as a Nexus 6 or anything like that, and I'm not blaming anyone – it seems only I am experiencing these issues. I've settled on Paranoid neXus as in my experience (apart from the stock ROM) is the smoothest ROM available (keep it up, Nexus Prime!)
I've made this thread for people to share tips and tricks concerning the SP and CM11 on making it as smooth and as fast as possible. If you do have any tips, please feel free to share them below this post.
Top tips:
Use a small Google app (or 'gapps') package (like Paranoid Android's, which work on any 4.4 ROM) to regulate how much unnecessary software that runs on your phone from the day you installed the ROM.
Use the battery pane in Settings to find any dodgy apps which might be using up the battery under your nose.
PA is indeed great! However I'm currently using MIUI 4.3.7 as my daily driver for about a month or so. It's by far the smoothest ROM available, i just wish we could have an update to 4.4.4, as i'm unable to use a lot of apps.

Yeah, I'm a KitKat fan. I would probably start using my Lenovo a bit more if it hadn't got the stupid Lenovo 4.2.2 software on.
And plus, it's horrible to hold, as the plastic bends with even the lightest touch.
My top advice is to use minimal X+ gapps (link in my sig). These gapps not only are small in size but also removes some unnecessary stuff (which I would use anyway).
I use omnirom with PA pico gapps in ART mode with williams kernel v7 with intelliactive governor and sio and it is so smooth and fast.
Omni is not based on cyanogen.
LBL CM11 + Wheatly + Fly-On MOD = Great Performance and battery life
CM11 MrSteve with mini PA Gapps having awesome speed, smoothness and battery life

Is it worth using omnirom after the dev stopped work on it?
Omnirom is definitely the fastest available rom apart from stock based. I tried to switch to MrSteve's latest cm11 yesterday but when I loaded all the same apps I had on Omnirom onto it it was just too slow... So I'm back on a two month old build of omni! It's worth it though! Multitasking is sometimes laggy, that's the only problem I've experienced. Apart from that it's ?
Yeah I have a good old N7105 and I love it.
I have so far tried MANY different roms between kitkat and marshmallow.
My favourites among kitkat are Slimkat, Liquidsmooth and Omnirom.
Lollipop was so so. But Marshmallow has arrived.
VRToxin is a great rom, with a lot of options for customization. It works well with 4.5.0 Agni kernel.
Resurrection Remix would be great but as of now it does not work so well.
Then there are wilson3q and Poison Ninja, their roms work quite well but are very basic, no frills.
Team Vanir also have a great working rom for t0lte. I got it working after installing the rom, supersu 2.65, agni kernel 4.5.0 and dho gapps. That was the only combination that worked for me.
Thank you Poison Ninja.
Thank you Poison Ninja and all that helps creating roms
I am currently using your 14.1-20170605-UNOFFICIAL-t0lte and its been 4 months now. still works fine and incredibly fast!
Wherever you are, whoever you are, thank you.
A really easy question to answer, probably more aimed at AICP users;
I took the plunge and rooted and flashed AICP on my Nexus with Wugfresh's toolkit (as I said, I'm a noob). After a lot fiddling I got it working and it's all fine, however, I was considering changing the kernel as was hoping to experiment with the governor etc. AICP doesn't come with a CPU manager and many apps of the store suggest that it doesn't support it.
Question is, if I change the kernel will it make AICP unstable? And if no and you're an AICP user, which kernel are you using?
I am currently using Boeffla Kernel (3.3 Beta 1 atm) with ResurrectionRemix 5.7.4 (atm Blackjubel's 20161012 build) and I am very happy with it. I have slightly overclocked my G900F to 2.6GHz, I have NTFS support, I can activate UMS Mode, if I want (one of the greatest features recently added) there are lots of governors with many different options and I could continue to rave about this kernel but as soon as the XPosed Framework gets it's first working version for Android 7, I will upgrade (if possible to Resurrection Remix, but there is already a great working version of AICP for the KLTE) and LordBoeffla already announced, that he won't continue his kernel for the KLTE with CM14. This is really sad, but no reason to stay with CM13.
What I wanted to ask you with this long and badly written text: has anyone here on XDA an idea, which kernel I could possibly install together with a CM14 based ROM if I want OC features, different governors, NTFS support and possibly also UMS Mode to stay?
Thanks in advance
Colin
It seems Chroma is no longer developed and the kernel is getting old without security updates. How do I know what actively developed kernel is compatible with that ROM? Thanks for any feedback.
Since Chroma rom is a AOSP based rom, you can use whatever AOSP kernel you like. You can try Quanta kernel (v20). I'm using it on Dirty Unicorn rom since 2 months
Thank you very much. So the first is to find the base ROM, AOSP for Chroma. Also, is it correct to assume I have to pick an AOSP kernel for marshmallow (if they have for all of the Android variants)?
Nevermind: It is in Quanta's page for kernel v20:
"This kernel is made for Android 5.1 (Lollipop) up to Android 6.0. (Marshmallow)"
Thanks again.
