In my opinion, Samsung don't update Note 3 to 5.1.1. But we can use DarkLord Note5 Port. Try him, is good.

As above but note development from Darkera has ceased as of today .

Maybe this one now

Much better version:

Version 2 for Phronesis is out. I just put it on this morning

[Q] Development AOSP for N9005

Hi guys, I have a question for you.
I need to change device and I'm undecided whether to purchase the Note 3 (Snapdragon) or the Nexus 5.
I am inclined to buy the Note 3, but I do not know if it will be supported by the community for a long time,
and especially if the "AOSP developers" will have problems with it.
Getting to the point: do you think that developers will have serious problems and bugs
(as there were in the previous galaxy powered by Exynos)
or the development of AOSP for Note 3 (Snapdragon) will be as smooth as silk, as for the Nexus devices?
development for snapdragon will be simpler compared to exynos version as what i've witness in Galaxy S4 scenario

Simpler, but much more difficult than nexus?
UP Someone else?
Pretty sure the Nexus line will always be the easiest.
I think if the lower screen size doesn't bother you, then the nexus 5 is probably the way to go. I was originally thinking about the note 3 or the nexus 5 but decided to go against the latter (I like to watch alot of youtube and the bigger screen size was perfect for a media consumer). But if your looking at it with development in mind, the nexus 5 just has more perks than the note 3

I like the screen size and the aosp.. something like a Note 3 Google edition ahah
that's the problem
Can KNOX be a problem for developers AOSP?
Does anyone know if the CyanogenMod is available for this device?
There are problems in the development of the latter?
(We're talking about the variant with Snapdragon)
AOSP and knox won't be a problem as long as you don't care about 0x1 on Knox warranty

I blame it on timing alone. Why would the developers try to compile a jelly bean ROM when they know that kit kat was going to be released soon.

Cyanogenmod is in the making, it's not ready for nightlies just yet.

Ok! So this is the problem!
I hope that if I were to buy a N9005, I will not have problems in turning it into "Google Edition" without
the annoying problems (like the little support to developers) who presented with other Samsung devices.

sm n900 no cm rom ported yet??

Hi there, I've noticed that we don't have cm rom yet for the SM N900 note 3 exynos, please is there any developments in motion or it freeze to develop it thanks it's really frustrating...
Exynos is an entirely different (closed) platform. Considering cm is just getting dailydriver stable on the snapdragon,I fear it will be a long time...
Hmm ok rooting the sm n900 is useless without the cyanogen rom
Ok thanks
Wonder why I bought this note 3 exynos which is always lagging behind other brands. This set is for those who just receive & call and nothing more.

Leaked note 3 lollipop released...hope dev will port it to note 2 soon
Still I feel that this is a error by Samsung by listing name of note 2 in update list .. They have already stopped production of note 2, They will not provide lollipop for a discontinued product.
it would be really great news, hope they won't announce it as a mistake

Another Samsung arm confirms note 2. What people keep forgetting is that the Note 2 was a huge success selling 30+ million units which is almost as much as the S3 did. Ps, S3 with 2 gigs of ram (US) got kitkat although it was around its 2 year mark.

So 5.0 will come in mid 2015 I guess?
Would be even better to have the full source 4.4.2. Lollipop could be cooked in XDA.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features that we want ported to Note 2 custom ROMs

Do you think that developers of Note 2 ROMs will be able to port the Note 5 feature write when the screen is off? it's a pretty cool feature that I hope someone will be able to port to Note 2 ROMs. That's pretty much the only feature that I want from the Note 5. I am sure I'm not the only one. Is theres another feature from the Note 5 you want developers to try and being over to the Note 2, post it here so that's developers will be able to see it

Yes we can hope....but seems very less chance to be ported. Its because of 2 reasons. Many devs stopped development for n2...and n2 did not get official lollipop.

It could be the last ported device features to our Note 2 =( sad ?
the feature that I want is that screenshot D:
It's pretty awesome, it scrolls down for you. Innovation by Samsung. Then you can easily edit it. Hope these two features get ported.
