[GUIDE] Qhsusb Dload Workaround [unbrick] - Moto G General

If your Moto G is connecting in qhsusb dload and you assume it is bricked then you can try this and see if this work for you as much worked for me.
1- Take apart the phone
2- Unplug the battery from the board
3- Connect to your usb charger
4- You will see a image like on attachment
5- Without disconnect the charger plug the battery to your board and let it charge for a few minutes
6- Flash your phone in order to update your bootloader
Good Luck

Are you saying this is a solution for lollipop hardbricked devices?

I'm saying that if you have a moto g that is connecting on Qhsusb Dload then you have a new option to try

Connecting trough usb without battery does not give any life on the screen... Just black..

Any workaround for enter to bootloader (fastboot) with the volume button (-) broken?
I had a bootloop and I can't turn it off, keep rebooting when I keep the power off pressed... I like to enter to fastboot, and then launch a custom recovery

Yeah, but how access to twrp when my phone is turned off? If I press the power button, it goes to bootloop and then, I can't do anything because the broken button... I have to remove the battery to get out the bootloop (otherwise I have to wait battery discharge)

using adb on your pc
adb reboot-recovery

Before i even attempt to do it, how did you end up with QHS-USB mode in phone?
Was it because of bad OTA or something else?

does this work? can anyone confirm?

[Q] LG G2 (rooted) bricked after OTA update

Hi guys,
i have a G2 D802 rooted with TWRP recovery. My brother did accidentily the OTA update. After that my LG had a bootloop TRWP.
Nothing was working, then suddenly it went black . No Screen, no battery light while charging, no recog from computer, no adb, nothing when i plug it onto the Computer. i searched tons of forums and threads , i used every method, but my phone does not do anything
Several threads are for phones with working ADB or anything working , mine isn't working at all .
What can i do ? i can't bring it to the LG shop because they told me it was rooted and rooted phones have no guarantee in our country.

To Get ADB Working try this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48361867&postcount=68
The OP of that thread and one additional (and similar) command found later in the thread fixed up my recovery bootloop.

turn your phone completely off: unplug it from the usb and hold down the power button for like 20sec. the phone should not be turning on or doing anything. then press and hold the power plus volume down. as soon as the lg logo pops up, let go of those 2 buttons and immediately press and hold power + volume down again. this should being up an all white screen with black letters. now press the power button 3 times til you get to "factory resetting". this should boot you into twrp. from there you can do whatever you want. this time do not take the OTA. hehe.
the drivers for your phone will be on lg's g2 site. make sure you've installed those with your phone unplugged from usb. if you have a previous driver installation, uninstall that. the lg drivers have the adb driver inside of it. also make sure you are using the most up to date adb.exe. if not then it may not be able to communicate with your phone. you can get that from android's sdk.

the hard reset writes the same text on the top corner.. i really dont know how to fix the problem i have allready posted a new thread but noone responded ;(
The fact that you see anything, is a good thing. Let battery completely die, and then plug into USB while booting to download mode. I had VERY similar issue and that's worked for me, then flashed to stock.
Sent from my g2 using xda app-developers app
With your phone on, and in recovery (twrp), plug it into your computer.
Open device manager.
Look for a disabled/uninstalled (marked with yellow) device that corresponds to tour device (in my case all it said was D800).
Choose properties/driver/update driver.
From here, you have to choose all the manual options ("let me choose the driver to install"), not automatic, .
Finally Windows should show you a list of device drivers compatible with your device.
choose the LGE (or androidnet) Single Sooner ADB ...
Let it install
Test your ADB interface (ADB Devices).

Sounds identical to the problem I had. It's like a REAL slow bootloop. If you catch it just right, can you get it to factory reset? And then from there, it just does the same thing?
Ooops.
I saw bootloop twrp.
I missed the black screen.
What do you get when you hold the power button for longer than 15 seconds (force shutdown), then power it back on (hold power for a few seconds, then release)?
If you have a fully non-booting device, warranty it, of course blame it on the update.

turn the phone completely off. unplug it from the usb/charger. while the phone is off, hold down volume up then plug in the usb/charger. you should automatically see download mode pop up. if that happens then you can return back to stock by googling howto's. if not then you will have to take it in.
no devices when you plug it into computer in that state?
Hopefully none of that text at the top of the screen mentions root or modified system.

If it goes into recovery then wipe cache and try reboot.

Could you go to bootloder (unplug the battery for 5 secs, replug, and connect to PC while pressing Volume UP button)? If you can't, disconnect your YU from PC, unplug the battery again for 5 secs, replug, and connect to PC while pressing the phone power button, then go to Windows' "Device Manager", make a screenshot of it, and post it here.

P9 Lite VNS-L31 bootloop, no recovery, no twrp , no bootloader

hello,
after install some rom, my p9 lite get bootloop. I manage to enter fastboot but phone was locked, so to install twrp i unlocked it.
After unlock i can't enter fastboot.
Screen "your devices has been unlocked and can't be trusted" appears, vol up+- power, nothing happens phone vibe 2 times and back to screen "your devices...".
My bootloader is unlock, can i flash twrp without bootloader screen on phone ? My phone is connected to PC but no device detected. Maybe at linux i can do something more than windows ?
Maybe i need to go to fastboot some different way ? i try to push 3 button after fist vibe and 2nd. Nothing work for me :crying:
i tried to past b130 to sd card in dload, vol+- power, nothing not even update screen, same "your devices"....,
now downloading b151

i hold power button, if phone isn't connected to pc he is going off. Think is because battery is very low, led is blinking in red.
Then I hold vol down and connect usb cable, but how u can see on video phone weak up and go to booting.
I have hi suit last night as i mention fastboot works, but need to unlock phone. After that "your devices" screen came out and can't fastboot anymore
When i turning off phone with connected usb i can't turn phone off. After a second phone power on by his own.
If phone is disconnected longer than 5 min, then i push vol down and connect usb only red lightening shows up. I need to wait a while to phone start.

OK. When phone is off, if you connect with PC, phone should be start, but this is only for charging. May be, you don't have charge, so phone is not going to fastboot mode with vol down?
Now just connect the phone with PC for full charge.
You don't have any recovery? Custom or stock?
It can be happen?

When i start charge phone blinking red in led, after while phone vibe 1 time and go to booting now, but led don't stop blinking. I will try to charge it, but because of working screen, phone heat a lot i don't wanna burn it.
Before i made rollback and something gone very bad, emui update after 100 % phone don't boot up. Without usb cable i wasn't able to go recovery or fastboot. So i think i don't have any recovery i made backup of files with twrp but now i can't flash it.
after night without power, phone drain all of battery. Now i understood better what is going on. when i plugged usb cable, phone don't start bye it own, only red lighting flash for second .
I disconnect cable and connect it with vol down button how all of here wrote. Phone immediately weak up an go to "your device has been..".
It's look like after i unlock phone (bootloader) somehow i was able to corrupt bootloader files or even delete it. Some one can confirm that it is possible to crash bootloader ?

I have the same situation. I tried everything, Three button method, letting the battery run out completely, Vol+ and Power, Vol- and Power, connected to PC, not connected to PC. Every time I disconnect the charger, and reconnect it starts from 0. I read some other people here have the same problem. Send it to warranty and explain your rollback process unlocked the bootloader somehow (I mean the phone does do a lot of sh*ty sh*t, so this shouldn't seem very odd as well!!!) and hope that you get a repair/replacement and after that sell it on ebay hoping some stupid people like us in the first place will buy it and spend your money on a phone more reliable!
I managed to access the fastboot using the 3 button method in cold boot. Hold the Power key until the screen goes off and then release and hold down the Vol- key and immideately connect the usb cable to PC right before it vibrates or exactly when it vibrates (it's a matter of timing), and bingo you are in fastboot and you can flash system.img, recovery.img, cust.img, cache.img and boot.img from there, but this is not how I revived my phone. I used the 3 button method again when the phone was charged for like half an hour or so and the did the same cold boot trick and I could boot into the force upgrade environment (strangely this still didn't work whitout connecting the usb cable to PC), but it somehow didn't want to read the UPDATE.APP that I had in dload folder on my SD card and wanted to have it from my PC (I just felt it nad there was no indication of it ) so then I installed the DC Phoenix tool and payed 15 euros to be able to inject the complete UPDATE.APP to my bricked phone and the installation went well to 99% and failed, but I rebooted the phone and I could boot normally. Just to make sure I did a factory reset afterwards. Hope this helps.

Yes. I am actually writing this from my Huawei P9 Lite now. This phone is really a nightmare for modifying and customization. I'm not sure if I'm going to resell it or just wait a reasonable amount of time until some reviews from the next update come out and see if I might wanna take the risk and update my phone again.

Just hold power button for 2-4 minutes and then your phone will boot up
That's it and reply me
Don't worry it's not a hard brick
Because Redmi 3s is best

Is it still recognized in PC. Look at device manager. Under the PORT tree. Is it recognized something like Qualcomm 9008 or something?
