Hello All,
I don't have access to a pc at the moment, was wondering if I can just flash the boot from fastboot to update my bootloader before moving on to cm12.1.
thanks,

He changed it, you used to have to flash in FB. You need to FXZ to .10, like @c1y5 said. If you're not on that version, it won't flash. You need to go back and thoroughly read the OP of the ROM thread, everything is in there.

means i need to flash .10 version then install recovery and then flash as normal rom instructions ???

Hello everyone,
I'm currently using this ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/development/rom-resurrection-remix-mm-5-6-7-t3357331
Is there any method on how to return back to the stock ROM ?
If I just do a full wipe and flash the latest update, will it work ?
thanks

Yeah basically that's what @ZeeJcG said before ^^'
So anyway that was pretty hard I downgraded with WW_5.2.2.2 (flashing fastboot/recovery) and WW_5.3.3.3, I was in 2.21, and then upgraded the classic way, yolo

There's only one correct way to unlock the bootloader, with the unlock code sent by Motorola.
Here's a tutorial:

This is about flashing stock, below you'll find flashing TWRP and Magisk i.e rooting. Links for TWRP, ADB and Fastboot and Magisk are included.
I'm about to make an own thread for this and expand it with things like unlocking, decrypting etc .

You don't have to flash stock (that part of the tutorial was written for another user).
After unlocking the bootloader your device will be wiped and if your build number is OPSS28.85-17-6 you should actually receive one more OTA up to OPSS28.85-17-6-2 (Feb 2019 security patch).
After unlocking and maybe getting that update you can flash the latest TWRP as usual and root by flashing magisk.zip from there.
