Hello Xda-Developers and LG GT540 Users,
recently I flashed my GT540 to ICS by mikegapinski by fastboot method.
The phone was running on out.kdz.
I found ICS to have few bugs on my GT 540, so I flashed it to V20A by using KDZ.
Then flashed it to out.kdz by using KDZ.
Now the phone is stuck looping at Android logo, and fastboot mode is not available, only download mode works. KDZ doesn't recognize the phone now, "PHONE NOT FOUND", so I am unable to reflash it.
I tried the method at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10238074&postcount=41, but KDZ updater says "Phone Not found".
Experts, I need your advice to save my bricked phone, please help.
hi there,
can you try booting into recovery?? power+home buttons
if that does not work try this methods
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13205397&postcount=26
Recovery doesn't activate. Yes I tried all the methods in the thread you posted, including disabling lge modem etc.
I am able to get into download mode, but KDZ updater or my computer doesn't recognize the phone at all. KDZ says phone not found and the computer doesn't show any device connected either.
reboot into fast boot if it's still available and run
fastboot -w
Then reboot
If it doesn't, boot into download mode and flash a fastboot kdz and try again

Fastboot doesn't show up at all. It gets back to the looping android logo, even if i try the keys for entering fastboot (which worked earlier prior to flashing)
Download mode works, but KDZ doesn't recognize the phone at all!! "Phone not found" keeps appearing.

Put it in cs_emergency and it should work

No, I tried cs_emergency, it doesn't work...
maybe try to reinstall drivers and then try again in download mode and in kdz cs_emergency
its not driver prob he flashed kdz before....
You should open Device Manager to see if your PC recognised your phone properly. It should be in Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
I started up the phone in power+volume down = download mode. The PC installed the drivers and it shows in the LGE Composite drivers. However KDZ says phone not found?
I managed to flash the V20A french kdz to the phone.
The phone is now stuck in the android logo boot loop.
What to do next? Please tell.
SOLVED
Okay I finally got it back to working condition by this method. It is for future reference for someone if they are in the same situation:
1) Erase all the drivers of the phone in your PC. Including LGE modem, Android composite, ADB Spooner etc.. and reinstall them using Windows auto update feature.
2) Get phone to download mode and flash V20A and out.kdz using KDZ in cs_emergency
3)That's it phone is back into working condition.
Also, the ICS by mike gapinski is a great rom, but the lg gt540 is too weak to run it. It runs into several errors, most processes stop responding, so the gt540 is too weak to run ICS yet. My 2 cents.
BootLoop -> Solution:
- Boot into fastboot.
- Flash latest recovery (5.0.2.7) (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img)
- Use commands:
fastboot -w
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase boot
fastboot reboot- Boot into recovery (now you will can do it, 'cuz you flashed it previously)
- Flash another rom, like PCF v5.
- Now your phone will boot correctly.
- To flash 2.1 try don't use kdz, you can brick your phone doing that. There are lots of very goods 2.1 custom roms...
Or you sholud try another computer...
the best rom for gt 540 is by mur4ik 2.3.7 .tested , 100% stable.mine run on 825mhz.

Hi Guys,
I brought my LG G2 D802 32GB last week and I believe it's possibly hard bricked if not soft bricked so let me start by saying that anyone who can help me get my brand new G2 working will be receiving some beer money!
I've owned over 15 android devices over the years and i'd say i'm a competent flasher but I've never had such a problem flashing any of those devices as I have on the G2!
So here's what I did:
1) Updated Phone to 4.4.2 and rotted using IOroot method (Root was successful)
2) Install LG USB Drivers
3) Flashed CWM 6.0.4.4 (Flashed successful and CWM was working fine with Root access on ROM)
I then decided to put TWRP as the recovery because after much research it seemed to be the most popular choice.
4) Downloaded D802_AutoRec.apk (I believe this was the correct recovery for my device)??
here's what happened:
After using AutoRec to flash TWRP recovery I rebooted and the phone displayed:
450 Fastboot mode started
500 udc_started()
Plugging in the USB cable then adds the following lines:
660 -reset-
670 -portchange-
740 fastboot; processing commands
Note that Download mode WAS available at this point.
I then tried flashing CWM recovery again through fastboot which showed as successful but still stuck in fastboot after rebooting. The same happened for TWRP.
I then went to the LG website, put in my IMEI number and downloaded the stock ROM (D80220C_00). I used the G2 extractor to extract the kdz to a DZ file then extracted the aboot/boot & laf.img. Since I did this I have lost download mode!
It's interesting to note that fastboot shows attached device as:
? fastboot
and ADB shows no attached devices.
I'm not sure this is relevant as I still seem to be able to push commands to the phone through fastboot?
I then tried to flash the stock ROM (D80220C_00) using LG Flash Tool however it gets to 27% and says "cannot connect to the phone
So as it stands at the moment all I have is the option to flash using fastboot, I have no download mode, no recovery or no working ROM. Have I completely bricked my phone or is there anything else I can try to get the stock ROM back on there?
Any help is massively appreciated!

How can i try tot method without going to download mode ? as i said phone only have stock recovery , Yes there is an option in stock recovery "Apply update from ADB" by selecting that i can run adb sideload commands. And i can flash any zip rom from that option . I tried several rom's using this option but installation aborted in middle .
Does device manager in Windows recognize your device? In Tot method you do port settings to flash kdz. Also you can give it a try for LG pc suite.
Hi guys, I might need some help or a walk through here, I might have bricked my phone. I stump-rooted my phone ( 4.4.2) and installed TWRP Recovery 2.8.1 initially , Installing SuperSU which patched my sdcard and rebooted causing my phone to get stuck in a boot loop giving me no access to download mode, just recovery. From there I tried to install Cynogen mod 12 in TWRP recovery to fix the bootloop but any attempt at flashing gave me an error "error executing updater binary in zip." So I extracted the folders and flashed the 2.7.0 recovery.img which sayed it worked but now my phone is still stuck in boot loop, no download mode and when I try to enter recovery I get stuck in fastboot mode with port change errors. I took some screenshots so it would be easier to help me out. Every time I plug in the USB I get the following errors, the screenshot is from continuous attempts
I have the mini sdk installed and Koush drivers. Device manager does not recognize my phone anymore but it does come up under Fastboot Interface
Any Help would be greatly Appreciated
Because I'm a new member I can't post screenshots so just add an h infront of the links.
Thanks in advance for all your help

Can you please explain how to do that WITHOUT entering download mode?
Maybe LG Flash recognizes your phone and will do the job.
LG Flash does not recognize my phone at all. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/lg-g2-unbrickable-fix-real-hard-brick-t2904404 Do you think this method will work?
I own an LG G2 D800 AT&T Version. I was running Stock Android KitKat 4.4.2 in Unrooted and Boot loader Locked condition. I had an idea to shift to some Custom ROM for G2. I selected and downloaded CloudyG3 3.3 for that. Now my phone is bricked and in NO RECOVERY, NO DOWNLOAD, NO FAST BOOT MODE. What I only get is Secure Boot Certificate Error and Demi God Crash Handler with Critical Error . Which says Press Up Volume for Download and Down for Reboot. I tried doing Factory Reset but it results in the same and same goes for Download Mode.
These are the steps I followed:
1. I Rooted my phone based on Stump Root and following these instructions and was successful.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
2. I then Installed TWRP recovery using Auto Rec APK according to following procedure.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715496
3. I then copied the downloaded CloudyG3 3.3
4. I booted into TWRP and installed CloudyG3
5. Before that I backed up my phone EFS and System only
6. After installation I performed Factory Wipe to Reset
7. My phone went into QUSB mode I think only LG logo and Black Screen
8. I followed the procedure after downloading IMG files of 30f ROM for D800 as mentioned in the link below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
9. I DIDNOT although Flash Recovery of TWRP in the end.
The result is I am stuck in DEMI GOD Crash Handler and Critical Error Mode kindly help! Cannot do anything
Mod edit: Please don't quote big OPs
You will have to use this link and flash the partitions again, http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/lg-g2-unbrickable-fix-real-hard-brick-t2904404
Use srk tools because it is easier to flash with.

What are the chances of eventually shorting the Capacitors in a wrong and Phone ending up totally dead. I asked around my fellows and they reported that doing such procedure led to Phone totally useless and dead.
I noticed one other thing though. If I select Download Mode by pressing up in Demi God Crash Handler, phone shows up at LGE Android with a Port. But still no Adb or Fastboot commands work. Any idea if this might be of help? Thanks!

Sometimes you can use lg flash tool to flash back to stick from demigod error download mode however the chances are slim. And to answer your other question. The likelihood of completely bricking your phone by shorting the capacitors is slim. Do not apply too much force and use a small flat head screw driver and you should be good. The only way possible for you to completely brick your phone is if you do short any other than the 2 most right capacitors on the emmc. The most right capacitors are stacked. So if you only short those 4 pins and you short them correctly you won't damage your phone
