Can someone please share the new boot animation? I have started a thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/themes-apps/android-marshmellow-boot-animation-t3180825 if someone is willing to provide it...it doesn't have to be a flash-able zip, just copy paste will do...
Thank you

Enhanced data switch is back when on Project FI. Its not there in the current 5.1.1 builds.
Permissions check is working. What I mean is that an app will ask you to allow or deny permissions when if first attempts to do something. Example: I went to download something on Chrome and I received a prompt asking me to allow or deny chrome access to my music, videos, and files.

http://www.macworld.com/article/151912/2010/06/android_apps.html
It doesn't look like a new issue, first hit on Google for "missing apps in market".
It appears to be affected by the country you're browsing from. I have a user in the UK who can see things like Pure Calendar and Abduction World Attack just fine, however a user outside the UK cannot see them.
This appears to be new with the WWE OTA update, as the Taiwan based ROMs appear fine for the most part.
That said, we had a user on our Superhero build that downloaded and installed a paid app, he switched to VR11.9 and couldn't see it anymore. It remained missing after a downgrade back to Superhero.
What the hell Google..
I asked this question in the VR 11.9.1 thread as well, but moved it here as itr seemed more like the right place.
Can you try searching the market for aldiko, there should be 2 version, paid and unpaid?
The paid one is also protected (installs to/data/app-private) and that is the one that doesn't show.
I'm seeing other paid apps in the market, but not paid/protected ones. e,g, Extended Controls is paid but not protected and I see that just fine.
Aldiko paid version doesnt show up
No, it would appear that normal paid apps are showing up, however protected apps are not.
I scanned the QR code for Aldiko Premium (protected) as a test (here) and it cannot be found in the market.
Looks like it's not just us having the problem.

Very cool! More NFC functionality is awesome, IMO! Thanks for posting man!
Now where's the manual download link
Too bad it doesn't include the Random Reboot fix, as that (IMO) is a much more needed update. *smh*

how come i didnt get the update???
Same as before; roll-out is staggered so not everyone will auto-download it on day-1. Could try calling *#*#checkin#*#* & see if that kicks it in... didn't for me though. Hence the hope someone posts the file so it can be manually installed

disagree. This will allow users to share contact info directly from phone to phone. it will also allow you to write to NFC tags which can be very cool. So for example, I have a watch I wear that is a NFC tag with 4k of memory. With the new release I can write change the content of what is on that tag. Right now I keep it as my contact info.
Who said major bugs won't be fixed? Clearly google decided to showcase 2.3.3 because of the NFC thing. Fixed bugs has never been showcased in change logs by google. So there is still hope!!!
I once had the idea of using NFC as input for password, like an electronic key. This will allow greater convenience once device level encryption is supported. I hope this can be realized some day.

The hardware supports it. NFC with a secure element provides a new level of security. Just needs to be implemented in items. they already have house locks and car door locks that use this type of system. Just need PCs to adopt it too.

I was having IMS issues and this update fixed it. IMS wasn't registering and texts would take around a minute for me to receive.

IMS allows sms to be sent over LTE. Without IMS your texts go through the legacy network and take significantly longer to send and receive than with IMS.

Was able to get a ROM built and running based on LRX21V straight from source. Just trying to get a feel on how many people would want to run AOSP. There are some bugs present such as video recording causing the camera to stop working. I think there are binaries missing that Google didn't include in the binaries that are available. Same problem happened on the Nexus 5. Didn't test it much as I just purely wanted to see if it booted.
Also there is a lack of gapps available so I won't be rushing to get anything out. Let me know what y'all think and I'll try to tackle this to get some other options out for us.
Here is the test build for those that want to have a look. This is just a test build so bugs are to be expected. Video recording does not work. Haven't tested it completely as I need a fully working device this weekend. This is for those that have free time to just nit pick and find all bugs in this. Please report back after you are done and let me know what else you may have found that is broken or not working right.
Stock Google kernel (so if you flashed the kernel image to remove encryption your phone WILL be encrypted again)
Built off 5.0.0_r7 from AOSP
Flash ROM, flash gapps and flash SU that is linked below. This will allow root access on the stock kernel.
You can also optionally flash the custom boot image after flashing the ROM, gapps and SU by rebooting to bootloader and fastboot flash boot the custom encryption kernel. That is optional. Be sure to go back in to recovery after flashing the kernel to reflash the SU to make sure it was not overwritten.

That is pretty offensive. It is a new device and isn't in the developers hand so releasing work without testing their work leads to quality problems.
I don't see you doing any development work and developers don't owe anyone anything as they do all this work as a hobby pretty much.

No. Minor bug fixes for the particular device it was made for but that's it. I did notice on the N5 that there was a significant "miscellaneous" battery drain on r7. Might roll back to r3 if its present since r3 is the one for us (its also the same build for the N5).

Hello fellas
I was just looking around for device trees and latest work done on VK810 to see if i could contribute and i came across this. Removed link in case someone really is stupid. See attachment! I also found GITHUB and saw very recent device tree changes so we are just weeks away from CM12.1
Now the foolish people would immediatel try to contact the developers and ask for ETA and bother the very few developers who want to work on this device. If you piss the developer, they won't touch your device again and trust me it would be a great loss to community because this promises us stable device tree and kernel sources which means that all next android versions released by google could be easily worked on. As device tree is base for all development. Please don't f*** it up for others !
The wise ones would wait PATIENTLY because it's just few weeks away to have all the love for our device. Another member is in contact with another developer and he promised CLEANROM in very near future for Verizon Vk810 G PAD LTE.
Update CLEANROM released.

Last time someone ported CyanogenMod they never got data working. I tried to make adjustments, modem, build.prop, tore kernel apart, several wasted attempts. Figured it was a caf issue and different commits. So I bought a Nexus 7 LTE, slapped my sim in and ran. I like my GPad just not the limitations set upon me by a locked down Boot loader. To be honest my signal is stronger w N7. So I don't even use data on it. Do wish I could get rid of that annoying "no sim" alert.

The baseband being "Unknown", which is what I got too with a Verizon SIM in, means it doesn't even recognize that you have a modem,so you can tell already it wouldn't work even with your SIM in it.

Yeah, I didn't have my sim in. I may try with sim. Not sure its worth trouble though. This N7 sim tray is a pain. But its probably going to be same issue as with the cm11 port. The 12.1 doesn't impress me. Locked bootloader puts so many limitations. GPad in general is nice, better with L, but I get better data reception on the N7?
