Been waiting for this update for months, I got the ota yesterday, and updated right away. Its smoother , the battery last longer(just a feeling), and everything seems pretty good now. Its a definitely worthy update.

I'm in Canada , but I've been in the Huawei official forum for a year. Few days ago, Huawei released an official ROM for mate 7, only you have to register for getting it.
Well, I consider it as the official ROM, not the beta.

if you can read chinese
as that post states, if you are one of their internal testing members, you should get your ota soon. But if you installed the leaked version by yourself, you should roll back to the stable version so that you could get the ota (stable version links are posted in that post).
either case, after registration, you will get your ota in one or two business days.
Hope that helps.

Is this a official release or again some kind of beta program?
I used Google translate but result is not very good I could not understand much.
Should I wait an OTA soon?

I think you can consider it as an official release although it might contain some bugs. I've no idea when huawei will push the update to every mate 7, but I am very sure only if you do a simple quick registration, you will be getting the ota next day.

Well, after update, it doesn't have a "beta" in the build number, and the update log seems to be like a normal update log.

here is B320 info. I think B320 is closed beta version.
club.huawei.com thread-4852517-1-1.html (space add /)
The B320 official ROM only for chinese devices, international vision have to be ROOT and need to be modified some system documents to fix the network issues. There are also so many apps will be invalid due to restriction of region.
Where / which folder do I copy the update.zip file to update my Mate 7?
I copied straight to the internal memory of the phone, but local update won't find it.
thanks

what dialer code?
I have this device for a magazine review since I'm currently working as an editor for droidmagzid.com
This is not a prototype device, or at least I dont think so.. I dont know.
Just got this device early in the morning from my boss for a review.
I was checking the Android version and the build number to match with the latest firmware here on XDA, then I clicked the system update..
and it show an update.. and so I began updating the device. The previous build number was *********413
The CASUAL root method works on this version, I am able to gain root access, CWM recovery, make a nandroid backup, etc..

As long as you didn't punch in a dialer code to access experimental OTA builds than you should be fine. It seems to be an update for the Asian market or something.. not sure really. But the rest of us... who are using the official international firmware are still on 0413

Yes you're right.
But i wanted as a normal user to get access to this feature.
For now, i still cannot get any update and i got a funny answer from Honor support.
They told me that i have to go to Serbia if i wants to update my honor since i bought it there last year.
But i lives in africa now lol.
So the only remaining solution is the local update when i will finally find the right procedure.

The right procedure would be
Make a backup of all your data, contacts, apps etc using Huawei hisuite.
Download the firmware you want to upgrade to and extract to get UPDATE.APP
Copy it to a folder named dload in your SD card and press and hold power, Vol up and Vol down until phone boots up. Let go of power after booting but keep other two pressed for five six sec more.
It will do a forced upgrade and you will lose all your stuff. Boot into Android, update Huawei backup app and restore your backup using hisuite and you are done.
Hope it helps.
looks clear.
Thank you very much muradulislam
Still in beta. It's not a big of a change from lollipop
sorry folks but after reviewing all my experience with MM (B380) i recommend to update with Lollipop B180 (B190 if available) only!
With B380 it is possible, that you will get some trouble with it! At the moment, B380 was removed from the support side of HONOR!
Maybe it has a reason!

Most of the users that i know (me included!), did not confirm that!
i own two Honor 7. I tried MM on one of them for four weeks. After this period, i have done a rollback to B190 Lollipop.
Since this moment, all my problems are gone! I could not believe, that HONOR will bring us an trouble-free version of MM.

as the other users have reported here! And some of my apps have stopped their work during the night. I had protected these apps against termination in the energy manager, but it doesn't help! I think, it is a problem of the build in MM "deep sleep" functionality! And yes, i had made a factory reset in the beginning of my experiences.

Hi,Guys Please Help Me!i have a p8 lite model ALE-L21C02B130!,how can i get marshmallow on the device(i am from south Africa)and will like the official version any help will be appreciated....
The first place to check is MENU - SETTINGS - ABOUT PHONE - SOFTWARE VERSION - CHECK FOR UPDATES. If the OTA notification doesn't show up then it's possible your carrier hasn't release the OTA yet. Also, if the update notification doesn't show up, you will need a PC or laptop to download the official firmware and perform the installation.
I also just went back and looked at the P8 Lite General Forum and there is a thread that appears to be dedicated to updating your P8 Lite from Lollipop to Marshmallow. That is where I would start.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA-Developers mobile app
i have checked there is no update available what with you recommend me doing waiting for carrier or flash it this way the device is (brand new)
If it were me and I wanted the official 6.0.1 MM I would flash it myself which is what I always do anyways. It doesn't matter to me if my device is brand new or not. I would read through the P8 Lite General Forum. There are several threads about updating to the latest 6.0.1 MM firmware and the region they are for. Where are you located? That will help you in finding the correct firmware to download and install.

I found a tutorial for upgrading manually. You have to download the update from the huawei server and put it on a sd card. In the settings you can choose "Local update" (i don't know the exact expression, im from germany). You can try it with HiCare also, but i don't know if this works...

November 2017 confirmed
There is a kernel in one of the brandnew l09 updates on ff that is absolutely awesome. Its says unreleased on the about kernel but it works so great and has support for power killing apps and best is the fingerprint issue is gone . I took it and rooted it for kangb589.
If someone has a flashable zip that converts al to south america 605 cust and oem info i could create a zip flashable via twrp system , it was already pree rooted r w rw for delevopment.
You didn't answer previous few questions... Did you actually flashed Android O? If yes, any screenshots? If not then say so so people stop expecting..... Lol. Not an issue.....
Yes I used dload method about 3 times before successful and to boot into recovery , facrory reset and I had to use emui 5.0 supersu in the recovery 3.1.1.1 and then it booted , developer options worked also. Just broken wifi , I did not get into testing much , there is a link on asia site talking about the release. It also appears that the l09 is being sold in many more regions now , huawei doesn't communicate at all even with sr beta testers. Just update and hope it doesn't brick is huaweis way of thinking I guess.
I installed it on a l29 that was debranded to DL 17 used stock recovery to factory reset and then installed 3.1.1.1. Basically same thing as how we installed the original beta for noughat.

I just downloaded the beta apk again from Huawei page, and it says not project is available for me.
Maybe is region dependant.

I just signed up for the beta and as of today there are 87 of 200 slots taken. I'm in Sweden at the moment.
No download or update yet, but that would take up to 2 weeks.
I'm used to rooting and custom ROMing my phones, but there are no options for this one, so the beta is the next best thing.

Cool. It became available for me just now.
Any issues with camera? Is is different compared to before the update?
Is it working well? Does one dare update? A broken update would ruin my plans for tonight.

Couldn't wait, like a kid on Xmas eve!
Everything seems to be running ok with the update.
You think we squeeze extra functions out of devs? Like automatic themes depending on daytime and such.
Oreo
Got it yesterday
For now all is just perfect

It would be nice if you can report back after some days regarding the battery, software, performance and camera.
I already tried to get the update through the beta program, but for me it says no project available. Maybe I can install it from FF, but I don't know if it will be good.
Thanks!

There is not much difference from the latest non-beta update. I would say that the phone is slightly less responsive than before the beta-update, especially when unlocking the phone with fingerprint.
I'm having a separate issue on the camera that was there pre-beta, so I can't give info on the camera.
I have been running the beta for 2 days and now suddenly the screen is unresponsive and the phone randomly reboots. Then suddenly it starts working again.
Anyone else experiencing this?
And does anyone know how to roll back to EMUI 5?

I've crawled the length and width of the internets and there is yet a way to roll back the beta. It's just too new.
I downloaded and tried to flash older firmware, but since the beta resizes the partitions, you can't do it anything until someone with more knowledge puts time and effort into sorting it out. I got as far as unlocking the bootloader but no further.
As for the random reboots, you could try a factory reset. You could also unenroll from the beta, although I was unable to, I think it's because I have an open ticket in the BETA app.

There is a Rollback in Firmware Finder, test on your own risk.
