I stumbled upon this in the bootloader bounty thread, but I feel like it needs to be made more obvious.

Motorola: all your bootloader are belong to us.. Hey, that's the company that makes our Turbos, right?
Thanks to visionofexcellence2 for providing this potential vision of excellence.
EDIT: And of course, thanks to jcase and beaups for their valiant crusade against stuff that is locked. Sometimes I forget that they're mortals who can be thanked and not gods.
You need to thank jcase and beaups, not me.
The latest tweet from them is it's being testing for the Droid Turbo. They think it will work. It works for the Moto X 2014 on Verizon and ATT.

No one knows except the ninjas right now, but I would imagine that there's a good chance that it will. It wouldn't make sense for them to be trying to crack open the older software version.
The font and color scheme in their screenshot of the unlocked Moto X looks like lollipop to me, if that's any indication.
Yes.......
Oh that warning message would be so beautiful on my Turbo
Thats great news
If this works on 5.1 it'll be the best thing that has happened to Turbo owners.

I KNOW RIGHT!!!
forgot how to even subscribe to a thread its been so long. New crop of 2015 phone made me think...you know maybe I should buy another Turbo. But holding out for one on 4.4.4 is a feat.
Looks like they've updated sunshine for the Moto X. No droid turbo yet, but it's probably only a matter of time. If the turbo wasn't going to work, I think they would have said so.
Keep refreshing twitter like crazy. They said on twitter Turbo support is not there *yet*. I'll take that as it will be there soon!

Maybe we can expect FroYo around the same time (or preferably some time before) the Evo comes out?

I'm going to assume some Google employees already have Froyo if applications are already starting to support it. Though, I don't see why they would make notice to us that Froyo support has been added to applications if it isn't publicly available or coming soon. Unless.. it is coming soon :/

http://www.greenecomputing.com/apps/linpack/linpack-by-device/
What the hell is FroYo. I have never heard of it
Oh, codename for the next Android version. Sheesh
From the sounds of it, Froyo will be coming out around June/May, if I were a betting man. time line wise, and what not, it makes the most sense. Plus, with Flash 10.1 supposed to launch by June, it makes sense for them to launch the two at the same time.
Especially since Froyo is supposed to be the start of certain core apps being "add on" packs essentially, so that they can keep the system image smaller (hopefully means G1 support?) then the user just adds on what they want, ie you would download the Flash 10.1 app from the market. So it will be closer to a PC in its structure. I also think it is a sign that Apps to SD is on its way with Froyo or Gingerbread!
Didn't see it posted here or on any of the major sites yet. 2.1 is up on springs site now.

What comes of it is... 2.1 roms with ZERO bugs. Not even the audio bug.
I wonder if this is identical to the recent leak. I'm kinda hoping that we get the friendstream app or the updated sense running in Zen's ROM. I doubt that will happen. But at least we can have a stable ROM where everything will work off the bat.
Looking at the software versiom number, it's the same as the recent leaked version.

Just what the title says - a few days ago, Froyo was put into beta testing for the Epic 4G. The photo is cropped as to not get anyone into trouble. I just thought it might be nice to know that it's getting closer!
Since I'm new (not very many posts - I tend to just search & read), I can't post a full link, so you'll have to copy & paste. Sorry!

Not shocked. I've heard dates from anywhere from about 2 weeks to late december, so its likely testing is going on.
Tough crowd. How is it spam? I have an Epic, it has Froyo on it. I just don't want to get my Sprint contact in trouble. What do you want to know?
I wanna see you put it up for all of us to test instead of rubbing it in our faces, and say you are beta testing Froyo.
If you'll let me know how to, I will. Will a nandroid backup do, or do I need to do something else? Will a nandroid backup put any identifiable information out that might endanger my Sprint contact (ESN, phone number, etc)?
Hm, I spoke too soon. I should have figured that the update would have overridden the ClockworkMod, and I can't reinstall it because I don't have root access.

So, for now I'll ignore the guy who's being an ass, and see what I can do. Is there a good app I can backup my current config so I can do a factory reset before I use Odin? I'm used to using nandroid and Titanium, but I'm hosed without root.

keitht is right though. If you want to be taken seriously by Motorola or potential adult signatories then you need to clean up the grammar. Additionally, in my opinion, It would be more effective if you phrased it to seem less petulant.
Yea...sorry frustrated. The site wont let me update it though. Stuck with it now.
I don't know how that petition site works so not sure if you can edit your existing text, but it should only include the facts of the issue which are:
- microSD card support does not work 4 months after release
- no word on when 4G support will be available 4 months after release
As we wait, neither of the above features work as we watch other tablets release with fully functional microSD slots and 4G support.
My opinion (and is only my opinion) at this point, I have lost 1/2 the value of the tablet for the features that should have already been implemented. Maybe even more since the Xoom was already priced more than any tablet that released with these features working.

Put that in the comments of the petition that way when I print it out they see all that.
I just see all these concerns being wasted in this forum when they could be put there and printed out and mailed ya know.
So please don't waste those great thoughts in here anymore
A petition can't be changed once it's live, else people can sub X for Y and subvert the original premise.
BTW,

I signed! . . .
I signed it although I think it should have been proofed better. But that does not take away the fact that we have been screwed with the microSD card and 4G issue four months later. Xoom 2 talk already? Are you kidding me? Xoom 1 was never finished.
I am liking the comments. More of that said and we got something.
