Hi
I have updated my galaxy s5 to Lollipop but there is not trace about new Camera API
Do yuo have any news about this?
I tried with Samsung Camera App, Lcamera,Camera Fv-5 Beta(that uses the new API) but nothing
Does the update via odin erase all data? Downloading the update now

I seriously hope they didn't block it and actually make use of it to improve the camera. I was hoping for more controls and even raw with lollipop.
Hope samsung doesn't limit us by blocking it, this is android after all. But the L camera hasn't been released with the nexus lollipop updates even, so i guess we have to wait and see
I purchased a pre owned Note 3 from C-ex and the camera is not working, when u select camera it is a black screen with the camera icons tho, the icons are not responsive and after a while it says camera is not working. the man in shop where I purchased it from said they believe it worked fine before 4.4.2 update and only stopped working after this update.
anyone have any solutions for this so I can possibly get camera working

You've got some reading to do. Look for the stickies at the top of forums - usually there's a guide there for how to do basic stuff with your phone. First thing would be to find out how to use Odin (software on your PC) to flash the software for your phone. You can get the latest release for your specific phone from sammobile, com - they have the firmware listed. You will need to sign up but it's free.
You will need to DL the samsung USB drivers and install them on your PC.
Then you use Download mode to connect your phone to the computer and flash the firmware. When it's finished you have a as-new phone set up.
If the camera doesn't work then there is something wrong with it.
Feel free to ask, but make sure you do your research. XDA'ers help them who helps themselves.
Hi there
I've had Lollipop on my S5 for a while now official over the air update, no roms being used. However about a week ago samsung released a new over the air smaller update to "improve performance" and some other stuff but now my S5's battery drains soo fast even when not doing anything, android OS is using 171% of battery usage according to the settings (see photo),
It kind of makes me want to switch back to iPhone...
Build number: LRX21T.G900FXXU1P0BK
All help welcome
thanks

That's your issue. The developer's ROMs have already fixed a bunch of the issues. You can either root and install a custom ROM for your model, go back to 4.4.4 or go to the iPhone, which would be my last resort.
I'm running an international ROM on my Verizon S5 with great battery, a lot less bloat and faster speeds.

ALL Questions should go in the Q&A Section
Hey guys, on sammobile i got a new firmware update. I thought it's just another rubbish update but man, when i had a look at change log and its baseband i was just smiling. Now i have installed that update which is for Hungary. I am not from Hungary, i am in Pakistan and my mobile came from saudi arabia. But this update did nothing wrong to my S3 Neo GT-I9301I.
Its just good as the old one. This update has a new kernel update and baseband updates. Battery timing is same as the old one had. But RAM using is less in this update than the older versions.
What do u think guys? Is it the base for a new big update? Can it be a solution for those who have problems with CM ROMs? I mean after updated to this one they can try CM again and may be they got good results?
Tell me if anyone has try this?
Sorry for my English and for some proofs attachments are here.
60 reviews but no reply? Come on
I use this update, they update all Google apps and minor improvements, but minor.

Really? That's not good for Samsung. But my camera is working perfectly.
Today I got this update too. It a stability and bug fix update. I just notice that my shutdown screen looks like the one from the Galaxy s5.

Hey @samo_say
Any one who has a problem with camera with this new stock firmware update should try this camera fix from NeoStockX ROM by Danny. One of my friends was facing this problem and we used that fix and now he has a working camera.
Thanks to @Danny_Dewet .

Oh, but you have latest firmware now. You can root your mobile again. By the way RAM using after flashing this update is not as high as in previous one.

Yep :good: I'm re-rooting right now
I tried CM 12.1 after flashing this update. And my problem of "no data connection " is still there. It is not resolved after trying every possible solution.
Re-rooted with the Rox's method
The update installs two new apps in the italian version (ITV) : mySamsung and MilanEXPO
I searched online but I didn't find the changelog; is anyone able to find it and posting it here please?

well in kitkat 4.4.4 there was no problem whenever you run the camera it will focus directly and didn't need to wait but after upgrading to lollipop the issue appear
anyway thanks for the replay
In htcmania forums there are several persons with the same problem. It's a hardware problem. They sent the phone to samsung to repair on guaranty.

I had the problem on both 5.0.1 and 5.1.1. What seems to fix it for me is either smacking the phone against my hand (seriously lol) or setting the metering mode to matrix.
its an hardware issue bring it to service.
Yeah. Dont have such issue. From kitkat to lollipop 5.0 and 5.1 focus like 1-2sec
