So my power flashed when I was trying to downgrade to 4.4 and root. Now I am soft bricked on the new oe1 update. Is the phone fubar now or is there a way to flash a stock image to it? I've tried several through odin with no luck, but I am a rookie so I could be just be doing it wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Fixed it
Download stock image here
Download .PIT
flash both from odin at the same time.
Should bring you back to stock lollipop.
Hope this helps.
Oe1 isn't downgradeable

I soft bricked my AT&T Galaxy S4 on Sunday while trying to flash a Rom using "safe"strap. I followed the guide here, http://galaxys4root.com/galaxy-s4-r...erizon-galaxy-s4-with-me7-firmware-safestrap/ i restarted my phone, and it was stuck on the Samsung screen, and whenever i go into recovery, its the stock recovery, not safestrap. I am on MF3 so i can't Odin restore. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks for any help in advance!

Grab the files from this thread, they are from Best Buy and can be used in ODIN to flash back to stock MF3.

yeah, i saw that 20 mins. after i posted i probably should edit that.
Hello guys, so i sold my AT&T Galaxy S4 to a friend an move up to Note 3.
After a couple of weeks he downloaded an app from Playstore and got into a Bootloop. I tol;d him i could help him as I have come through the same procedure again in the past.
I tried flashing the same rom the phone had by that time "I337UCUFMLD_OneClick" and i Got a FAIL.
Soon i realized the phone was bricked. I have been searhing for 5-6 hours today, tried to flash "ALL_ATT_I337UCUFNB1_I337ATTFNB1_505595_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar", all MK2 roms I Found here, and the only once which worked was flashing the "pit" file and flashing "I337_NC1_Stock_Recovery.tar". Now The phone has access to both Download & recovery mode but
i 'cant enable usb debugging cause i can't access the system.
If anyone has a clue, please help!
PS: Sry for the long description, can't post links.
You should be able to flash the all in one nb1 tar use Odin 3 v1.85 make sure you extract the rar and load the tar in the pda slot. Unless it's been updated to nc1 then you'll have to wait and hope someone releases a all in one for that.

Thanks for the quick responce!
Nope, i flashed only the stock recovery from NC1 cause it was the only one i could find
Att recently pushed the nc1 firmware if your friend unknowingly applied the nc1 update and it flashed a new bootloader then that would make the nb1 Odin fail. I think your best bet is going to the Samsung Rep at your local Best buy and they can flash the factory image.

It has been reported that the NC1 update did not incriment the Q-fuse count in aboot. If this is true, it should be safe to Odin NB1 back onto a phone that took the NC1 update without it causing failure..

After several tries i managed to flash it back to STOCK NB1 with no problem.
The only Problem some people may have is that if you try flashing with odin 3+ and then try 1.85, you will fail due to Windows instabilitty.
I recommend taking battary of the phone for 1 hour (may sound too much but worked for me) restart PC, and try flashing right away after your computer boots up!
I will propably make a guide out of this cause that brick was tricky as hell.
Thanks everyone for replying
PROBLEM SOLVED :good:
I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge and understanding. I recently flashed a custom rom on my Galaxy S4, and it worked but I noticed the Wifi wasn't working, so I attempted to get it to work by trying again. It ended up badly, and it's now been stuck on the boot screen for a while. I tried doing a factory reset and wiping the cache partition, but it was still stuck on the screen. I can also still get onto download mode, so I'm hoping that means I can still save my phone.. I'm also not worried if I lose my internal storage, considering I'm just desperate to get my phone working again. I have an SGH-I337 AT&T phone.
What rom did you try to flash and what firmware version are you on. You're phone is not bricked and is recoverable.

Thank you for the fast response. I tried flashing Goldeneye rom and used Safestrap recovery. I'm on firmware version NC1. It's relieving to hear my phone is still fixable. Thank you again!

I would flash the nb1 tar file in Odin. Then do the nb1 to nc1 update and start over again. You'll need to root again and install safestrap. Have you successfully flashed roms in safestrap before?
Start here for the nb1 tar http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50912149

Thanks, I'll try that. Also, this was the first time I've ever flashed a rom, and I'm unsure if you would consider it successful, since the wifi wasn't working, but besides that, I saw no issues.
I had to go this same route when I was messing around and soft bricked like you. It's not hard to recover following the instructions . Odin the NB1 stock tar, let phone boot to ensure it is alive again. Then use the built in recovery to install the NC1 update. Reboot and you are ready to towelroot/supersu/safestrap.
Don't worry. It will be ok!

I was on MK2 rooted, wanting to upgrade to NC1 via Safestrap method. Something went wrong after I wiped everything except EXSD in Safestrap recovery. The SGS4 rebooted and is now stuck in a softbrick. I can get into download mode and stock recovery, however, I cannot bring my phone back to life. I've tried flashing stock firmware with ODIN, sammobile only has MDL and MDB -- neither of these work for me. I have spent the past few hours reading posts and have not found a solution.
any help is greatly appreciated!
Since you're on a newer version you aren't able to downgrade it to MDL or MDB, if you download the MK2 tar file from here you may be able to get it back.

After I updated my Verizon Galaxy S5 to Lollipop, I tried to flash a lower version official .tar through Odin, and got stuck in a bootloop I can still flash .tars through Odin, but I cannot actually use my phone. How do I get my phone working again? Can I?

Can you be more specific? What TAR did you flash? Did you flash an older corresponding kernel?
What is your ultimate goal?
Thanks

I figured out how to restore on my own. Turns out I can only restore to NCG. I fixed my own problem. Thanks for helping though!
To any users who visit this form in the future, you can only flash back to NCG after updating to OTA Stock Lollipop.

This is not true. You can restore back to whatever version you want. If you get stuck in a bootloop just hold down the home, volume down and power buttons for about 10 seconds and the phone will boot in to a maintenance menu. From there select factory data reset with the volume down key and then press the home button to execute the option. It should boot normally after that. To avoid this just enter the stock recovery after flashing the tar in Odin and factory data reset from there.
I think I know what you did

If you downgraded the kernal it won't let you so you have to go back to a lower verison of android or flash the lollipop kernel
