So if anyone wants me to.. I can give a mini review of both devices.. I was fortunate enough to be at the right place at the right time, to see both of these devices and play with them hands on. I don't want to spend a lot of time posting something that no one cares about, so I'm just asking..

galaxy s7
maybe the note 5....
I have S6 Edge but for sure I would buy S6 Edge Plus instead of Note 5. The curve screen is magic.
I played with both as well last week, the note 5 is definitely the way to go.

I love love loooooooove my Edge's screen, but still think the practical choice is the regular flat screen. Maybe if they make a lifeproof case I'll be happier but seeing one for the s6 and not the Edge is kinda bumming me out.
But you're right the screen is magic!
probably works for a cell phone provider. samsung rep showed up and gave them a demo of them.
They both look great. I already have a edge, so ill probably go with the Note 5. The springy pen is awesome.
I'm just hopping we can get the same features on the galaxy s6 edge that the edge plus have, like stream live with the camera. Get the edge apps.
---------- Post added at 01:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:21 AM ----------
And another thing is the s6 edge plus can't use gear vr because it's to big
If you've tested them out, have you felt the Ram/Multitasking issues of the S6 Edge ?
The best thing about the s6 edge+ and note 5 that no one seems to be talking about is wireless fast charging. I'm very tempted to switch from the s6 edge to the edge+ just because of that ability. I think I'll just wait for the s7 edge though haha.
Just wait for s7 don't need to switch just for more ram and fast wireless charging. Just wait for next year and probably the next s7,is going to be even better

Yes but I'm afraid that to port we have to be rooted and that's a 'no go' for me. I want to use samsung pay whenever it arrives. I know that are ways to root without activate knox but. I prefer the easy way.
Underwhelming announcement for me. Love everything about the Note 5 save for the battery. Samsung needs to understand that fast charge/wireless charging cannot compensate for a lack of capacity.

Sprint Note II for $149 on new accounts at Amazon Wireless.
If you sign up for new account. Pretty awesome deal. Back-ordered 2 weeks.

Its quite an amazing deal alright. Even if you bought it, swapped a line in and cancelled the account it would be cheaper than buying it on Swappa.com. this guy said it here first, though, i believe http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2036150
If the "cheap feel" of the GN10.1 bothered you you are going to REALLY hate the GN2. It is a quality piece of tech but feels very light and plasticky. Honestly you will probably put a case on it anyway so who cares, but its not going to win any "look and feel" awards.
You gotta love Samsung - "Looks like hell, works like heaven".

I'm waiting for the 1 inch Note IV that I can wear like a watch
I don't see the need for a Note 6.5 inch. Too small too take serious notes but too big to carry like a phone. Kind of a nothing burger.
No possible way for 6.5 inch note, unless it replaces or is offset of their 7" tabs.
That somethin we said when the note 1 came out but still people buy it right
Well theres a market for a Note phone, tablet, probably 7" too, but i dunno about holding 6.3" phone to my head, nor 10.1 phone. Tablet sure, but....i understand they think if they can take the bezel away, but not as a phone. We are approaching the limit.
My wife has a NoteII, and it's a great phone. If I could find a practical way to carry it (too big for a belt case) , I would get one in a heartbeat. To me the "look and feel" of NoteII is the same as Note10.1.
Just played with the Note II at the Sprint store. It is big enough to take notes on if you write small.

This is kinda about the note 2. To mods. I am not trying to sell or link to anything here on XDA. I just want some opinions.
So I want to trade my Note 10.1 for a New note 2. Does that seem okay? I know sometimes if people have an available upgrade through their carrier that you could probably get the phone for two or three hundred. So it would be a good deal I think. I think the hardest part will be finding someone that doesn't mind using up their upgrade. Anyway thoughts and commets welcome.
My phone has bit the dust and I dont really have money to use for a phone so thats the only reason for the question

Should this be in another forum? LOL, but anyway, got my note 2, love every moment of it, and now my note 10.1 feels relatively choppy. Hopefully jelly bean (whenever it gets to me officially) will solve it.
Getting a Note II today...Fed Ex can't get here soon enough. I'm also in the market for a tablet and narrowed it down to the Note 10.1 or the Nexus 10. For those of you that have both Notes does it make sense or is it redundant?
Maybe I'm backwards
But I got the galaxy note 10.1 AFTER my galaxy note 2. The galaxy note 2 is AMAZING! It's such a big upgrade to the original note. To be honest I don't really need the tablet but I felt having a bigger screen would be more productive. Im lucky my boyfriend decided to buy this as a Christmas present. The phone is definitely snappier. It just works how it should. Remember everything is optimised probably mostly for the phone . I feel the tablet could be a lot tighter but then again the note 2 does have jellybean. The screen is a lot nicer than the tablet but again higher ppi. If you replace the tablet you might miss the bigger screen to be honest. You can work with it, but it's still small for drawing. Probably note taking will be alright. I'll admit my phone is pretty much deals with everything I need. Definitely the smartest phone I've had.

My boyfriend was actually trying to put me off getting the tablet because he said it's just a bigger version of my phone. However, I've been using it a lot lately because I'm too lazy to use my laptop. I'm going to prove to him I'm going to use the galaxy note 10.1. I have wasn't sceptical about tablets as well but the bigger screen estate really does help. Particularly with split screen, and if I want to read magazines or manga. But it's up to you. I especially got the note because it's so cheap right now :3

Well, the fact there are 2 pages of comments in 2 days should tell you that GN10.1 owners are interested in discussing the GN2 as it relates to the GN10.1. Since they are sister devices this thread makes perfect sense. The mods get that.
With all the garbage repetitive threads in this forum, this one actually makes sense.
---------- Post added at 03:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:05 PM ----------
Question for those with the Note II and the GN10.1. Do you find the Note II real estate sufficient to take notes on the fly as you can with the GN10.1 or do you have to write so small that it becomes difficult?
It's been hard from me to try this out at the store as all of the Note II's have magnetic anti-theft devices attached which play hell with the pen input.
I suppose I could try writing really small on my GN10.1 to simulate the experience. Also I could write more often in landscape mode which would provide the same basic width as portrait mode with the 10.1.

Looks like the ones up for auction in eBay are bidding at around $380 for used units.

Well the timing is suppose to be metal.
PhoneArena's review of the Note Edge(reviewed 11/6/2014):
http://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-Edge-Review_id3844
"In case you’re wondering what happens if you drop the phone on its edge, we should say that there is a metal frame that is slightly more protruded, so it would hit the ground first. This and the fact that Samsung has stressed that it uses a special, strengthened glass for the Note Edge, should be a reassurance."

Ive swapped my s6 duos for an oneplus two. Its not premium like s6 but i like it more than Samsung. 1st think i did was removing oxygenOS and installing HydrogenOS. Significant more ScreenOnTime around 8h. Display its 1080p which was perfect for s6 to have. I dont notice any heating (snapdragon 810) and the best part is various custom roms to chose (cm13 based , o2os , h2os, cm12.1 , flymeOS, MiUi will be soon supported) Cell reception its far better . where i live i had to be lucky to get 2 bars with 4G and eith OPT i get full bars LTE.... Oneplus two its way more better than sgs6 in multitasking. The only CON is camera . its lame. But i don't use my phone for taking photos so its not important for me. I courage you guys to get rid of Samsung as fast as possible. They need a lesson to learn . not to be like apple.

Excuse me but I'm Italian and I did not understand what you wrote.
Since I stopped trying to disable apps with package disabler and disabling features, and running phone stock, it's perfectly quick and stable and have no multitasking or bug issues.
Camera is brilliant but needs manual and raw support.
Phones with bad cameras are deal breakers to me. Custom ROMS are no help if you need a good camera.]
Don't see the problem with touchwiz except maybe the name...

In my last days with s6 i had installed pure stock OI9 Btu... I was very happy with... Better than having costom rom. But idk why samsung fail at multitasking, even when device it has ddr4 ram. Phuuuuuu imagine OPT with ddr4 ram and the fast storage chip s6 use... Touchwiz ita not the name we hate ita the past history it had ... Always laggy always ugly. Samsung rom were full oj bloatware (more than 300 apps/services installed) useless features sensors etc etc. All this stuff made the device laggy... S6 was different from other S series but samsung need to work more. Also im spaming for the 1080p display its f*** enough for 5 - 5.5 inch display. See the mx5 pro ( note 5 with 1080p ) its doin perfect job
How the reception cell quality on stock OI9 BTU? Better?

No phone or any product for that matter is flawless. That's how the market works, otherwise, we wouldn't have reason to upgrade to newer phones.
"fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
If you feel you've been deceived by samsung, you're free to move on to another manufacturer. But complaining on GALAXY S6 FORUM is not the most efficient way to go about it.

I've been offered a pretty amazing deal on an S6 Edge Plus DUOS, however having read here for the last couple of days it seems there's no decent quality tempered glass protector for this phone and quite a few of the film screens seem to peel up when used with a tough case.
For me having good protection for my phone (I've got an Otterbox on my S5 DUOS) is a must have and as I do work near water a lot waterproof resistance is highly preferred.
The cost difference between the S6 I've been offered and a S7 Edge DUOS is almost $300 so which way do I go?
It appears there is a much better range of accessories for the S7 Edge and it looks to me like the S6 Edge Plus units never really took off (mainly because the S7 was launched so soon afterwards).
What to do, what to do?

S7 better battery, better night shots, water proof
S6 edge plus better for all the rest (thinner, display, sun days camera shots, "look", cost)
S6 edge plus you can use screen protector OR the case...because the case lifts the film (it does not matter if it's glass or plastic made)
S7 I didn't test this occurrence

As it's a general question it was more appropriate in the other forum.
And I shouldn't ask a question because "....we don't know you...".
This is a public forum and I've been a member for years, what are you smoking?

As for the moving part they explain it pretty clear in the rules.
This post might help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-edge-plus/general/questions-qa-section-t3180244
And you don't have to resort to weird assumptions.
As my only meaning was to help as the respons you would get here are hard to reason with when you don't know the people telling them.
And your reaction clearly states that to be true, as my intentions were merely positive yet you took it as a negative remark...

I didn't resort to weird assumptions.....your use of language was quite definitive.
You stated "....secondly this is not a question to be made in a forum....".
That's a statement, if you want to be helpful couch you language in less confrontational terms, for example you could have said "...perhaps you would find more opinions if you were more specific in what information you were looking for....", see, less confrontational and looking to be more helpful.
You may not be familiar with an English idiom "Shooting from the Hip", perhaps you would find it useful?
I'll not be posting anymore in this thread as your contribution has made it pointless.
I normally get the latest devices, but got the s6 edge plus on T mobile here in the USA a couple of days ago. I use the leasing program called jump on demand so no money down and the cost should I want to own it, ( never do as I exchange phones often ) was reduced to $485 . That was enough for me to take the obsolete version LOL.
I have edge+ and im loving it.
No experience with s7.

I love my s6 edge plus. And i love xda besides the mean people on here. Seriously dont let that one persons negative remarks stop you from posting on this forum. That was a logical question that you wanted user opinions on! Thanks for your post

its a no-brainer.
S7 edge is much more superior to the s6 edge+.
much better performance, a much much better battery, more sexy and has a micro sd slot.
the only downside is the price, which is nearly double.
I'm stumped on what phone to get now the note 7 v2 are exploding. Pixel no sd card wtf? Iphones are for girls and kids to look cool. S7 locked bootloader this really sucks!!
I'm thinking v20 especially since it will be an even switch.. The only thing I'm going to miss is the waterproofing.... And occasionally the spen

I have a pixel coming too, but that is going back I'm pretty sure
V20 for now. After having a screen this size I cant go back to anything smaller. It was great to be able to read and not need to constantly zoom in and out with every page turn. I just hope it has root.
Will rock with the V20!
I was thinking about a s7 edge or try to find a used note 4 or 5. I had a s7 edge for a loaner but it definitely didn't feel as premium as the note 7. Does the s7 edge have root?
I have no idea... Pixel ? Does t-mobile even carry it? V20... I dont love the design.. I have no idea. Ill just keep the v2 until the s8..
T-mobile isn't carrying the pixel. It is carrier exclusive to Verizon. You can buy/ finance directly from Google though.

THREAD CLEANED
Keep it civil and do not flame other forum members.
Strongly leaning towards the LGV20 so will hold on to the GN7 till the LGV20 is released for me to get a hands on with it.
OnePlus 3 anyone? Unlocked bootloader, root, custom ROMs, AMOLED display, SD card and a great camera. It's also a looker.
The V20 for me. I played with the V10 a few days ago and i love it. I can def see myself with the 20.
I'm an audio nut as well so it'll be great for me. Hopefully they'll fix the over exposure in their cameras..

You make a valid point my friend, and the best part its pretty cheap
I'm leaning towards the V20. I had the S7 edge as a loaner. I liked it, but it just felt too small. It might sound like a minor thing, but I'm going to miss Samsung pay if i switch to the V20.
I forgot about Samsung Pay
I think i am going with S7 Edge. I thought about the Pixel but its not availability directly through tmo so cant use Jump.
As for the V20, yea the specs are good but i am m not really a fan of design. It looks huge so its prob not easy to hold like the N7.
So yea S7 edge for me until next year Note 8?
This whole fiasco really sucksss big time. Only good thing is all the free gifts i have which i m giving away to people.
I even convinced a coworker to ditch her iphone when she was due for an upgrade, now i feel like an ass.
And when she asked what she should do i told her to either go back to iphone or the S7 Edge.
On a less serious note, could it be they are cursed for skipping the 6? I call it the Galaxy Note 7 Saga: The Curse of the Six.
I might keep the n7 until the s8

The v20 looks nice but the op3 doesn't have an SD slot..

Going back to the Note 5, it was a great phone and there are GREAT ROMs for it.
I'm just pissed that I bought a 7 just over 2 hours before they announced the total recall.
