Hi,
Can you tell me please the differences between D800 and D802? I mean everything we can compare or where D802 could be better than D800 - network/bands, hardware (better screen, touchscreen, anything), software support (roms, kernels, BUGS and any bricks or bad stuff when flashing or something), simlock??
i know there are things on forum, i got some info but it would be cool if we could get the differences in every corner here. it will also help me deciding which one to buy.
btw we can eventually add f320 to compare, i heard it's working well (network)
but I also heard somewhere f320 has worse signal than others - can't confirm if that's true or just some bulls#!t.
d800 as I know has simlock but I can get that away, I see roms for both d800 and d802 so that's cool about it.
any more stuff need to know?

excuse the question , since i searched the forum and found nothing related to the subject, but is there any dual boot option available for the lg g2?
was thinking about the possibility of running both factory rom (since im very pleased with what lg provided plus a lil tweaking of my own to suit my needs better) and a test/2nd rom (Ex. cm10.2/11/aokp.... )
people are jumping around roms and this might solve a lot of problems people are having due to bad flashes/errors/etc....
anybody around working on it? any plans of something similar?
i know i had that on my old n trust samsung s2 but i couldn't help keeping up with the latest hardware (actually sold my samsung s4 n got the G2 due to many factors. main factor was the s4 simply was an unfinished product)
+1 for Dual booting capabilities!
+1 would love this feature
i think i got way to dualboot , what the name of SDCard partition? i mean the mmcblk0pxxx etc..
Ive got to buy a new device, am stuck between LG G2, Samsung NOTE 3, and Nexus 5, The Nexus has sub-par battery life, and mediocre camera and no Infrared, the Note 3 has many features, the LG G2 is quite excellent as well, but I want a phone with excellent hardware and excellent development/custom ROMs, So keeping that in view, which device do you suggest I buy? I dont think LG G2 is getting the support it deserves from devs, do you think its development is going to reach a dead end soon?
Dev on the whole is excellent. Custom roms are not as plentiful but all of bigger aosp roms are here. Not sure what you're trying to ask...
Coming from the S3 (Verizon) and S4 (t-mobile) I have to say development is more low key. BUT I love the phone, the Roms are excellent, and I can use Roms from AT&T, Verizon and the international (D802) phones. So it balances out. I have no regrets and look forward to the G3.
As much as I like the G2, I do not think I would recommend this phone for someone who wants try diffferent "working" custom ROMS. When it was jellybean only ROMS things were looking pretty good with ROMS based of stock base 4.2.2 or even the Flex & G Pro 2 4.2.2 ports. It seems that KitKat has brought everything to a halt, and while I am sure devs do their best, roms based on aosp/cm, stock, ported have take it or leave it type bugs i.e. auto-rotate, losing network selection, mms issues, etc. I imagine with time these issues may be overcome, all bets are open if this will happen before the next version of Android is released or even before the G3/Nexus6 is released. I personally would wait for the Nexus 6 and see what hardware that phone offers. Good Luck with choice.
I should add, it seems that some issues are caused by slight differences in the G2 phones. Some people get the white lines and others can not flash any rom without major issues, most just return those back to store I guess.
i was a bout to get me a n5 but read the battery was not that good, so i had to pass. now am looking to get me a g2, but i want to know as of now wich variant has more rom support?? not talking aabout the international, i need to know wich usa company variant tmobile, sprint,at&t,verizon has more rom support so i can get me one of them.. thanks
by the way is there any way to unlocked carriier on our own we had the on the s2 .
You can check out how many posts in the LG G2 subcategory under xda and see for yourself which variant has more active participants. I personally would consider which variant is best for your network that you're going to use, and then consider if the community development support is enough. A lot of LG G2 ROMs seem to have multivariant support.

hello,
I want to buy LG G2 F320, but I've doubts about the repair parts in the future in case of any damage, is D802 parts are compatible with F320?
ty all.
Its really hard to say. Most of the d80x variants seem to be the same aside from the modem ext..
I would assumed all the F variants should use he sane hardware. Aside from finding someone that has torn theirs apart, I wouldn't assume anything positive because of the way the OEM handled this device
GREAT device, but they used different hardware between the D80's the vs980, and the ls980

I think I will take the risk TY.
Hi,
I bought an LG V20 from AliEx, refurbished with a plan on rooting + installing LOS 17.1 ...and, yes, I knew I'm rolling the dice when buying a used device from China.
Unfortunately when the device arrived there were 2 major problems:
1) The phone is not exactly H910 but H910PR (Puerto Rico), after a looooong search I found out one post (on this forum) where a guy tells that H910PR can be rooted and software from H910 (ATT) can be flashed. But ...it's still risky in my opinion.

(NEW USER - CANNOT PLACE LINKS!)
2) [MAJOR PROBLEM] The phone's touch screen seems to be not responding when the phone "sleeps" for more then 2-3m. Pressing POWER off and back on solves it, and as long as I am actively using the phone - touch screen reacts ok.
But.. when the phone arrived that non-responsiveness was present much more often.
AND THE BIG QUESTIONS ARE:
1) Is H910PR technically the same as H910, and the ONLY difference is the software (rom)?
2) Do you think that the problem with the touch screen is hardware (i suppose so ( ) or maybe software related.
Those 2 videos will describe my problem better:

Thanks in advance,

I'd return it and get my money back and get another variant that's easier to root with a lesser chance of issues
Sent from my LG-H910 using XDA Labs
well...
I thought I was buing H910 (ATT), that's how the damn chinese seller described it, not a word about some particular phones being H910PR. And YES, I know the rooting of V20 is kinda hard, but at this point, I spent approx. 2 months searching for the right phone (for the right price too), and the LG V20 is in my opinion GREAT. By now I know the root procedure almost "by heart" ;P
Also all parameters beside ...my #1 priority was that the phone has to be supported by LOS 17.1 (as i want to degoogle my phone - i'm a big privacy/security/anonymity freak, though still learning and transitioning... )
If LG would still sell V20's (new) at a reasonable price - I would pay double (this refurbished phone cost was approx. 80$ + 20$ LIPO Perfine baterry). Beside that ONE "glitch" and ONE misinformation (h910pr != h910) I really fell in love with this phone (even with the "silly" second screen, which in LAOS 17.1 is integrated).
If it wasn't China I would return it the same day I recieved it, but sending it so far (i'm from PL) is quite a hassle.
But back to the topic ...do you think that this "GLITCH" with non-responding digitizer after 3+ minutes of standby (as seen on the video - BTW: sorry for the HQ) is software or hardware related? What does your gut say?
And is there any way to check this without unreversable changes by elimination?
1) I could elimnate SOFTWARE fault. But I am unable to find a way to backup (in case it's not software) dumped files from LGUP. Dumping went OK - but the result files are useless (not KDZ!)
2) I could eliminate HARDWARE fault. ...NOPE, wait I CAN'T - there's a pseudo-warranty sticker so I cannot unplug+clean+plug again display cables in the phone internals. (From repairing my LED TV i found out that dirty connector cables can result in e.g. inverted colors - some IPA cleaner and ta-da!)
Mouse connected OTG?
WHAT DOES YOUR GUT SAY?

I suspect it's a software issue, however I stand by my recommendation to return it, if your intention is to root and cross flash the firmware, I seen numerous people who crodsflashed the 910pr and lose all cellular connectivity.

Hmm... some breaking news. I just installed (F-Droid) AlwaysOn (Always-On-Display), set the hour/date/bat% to display (when off) AND... everything A.O.K (?!?).
My gut feeling is that somehow the screen digitizer when "woken up", at first doesn't receive enough V/A, but when I "wake" him again the amount is enough.
If there would only be a way to check this V20 on a different soft :/ (but I don't know how to put back DUMP files from LGUP back to the phone). Otherwise I would flash H915 KDZ (as the root instruction says)
I also found this when it comes to H910PR: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76370024&postcount=20
EDIT: Just now I found in the FOOTER of the member that posted info on how to root and croos-flash H910PR (above):
"Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 6/64GB
LG V20 - Bricked H910PR Board, Then dead cellular on H910 board. Nostalgia in my desk drawer"
...BRICKED H910PR Board
...life is unfair...
Hi guys!
QUICK QUESTION: Does H910 has polish language? (could someone check this, thanks)
Because one of the sellers on AliEx claims that only H910PR has polish language, H910 does not - it's hard to believe, but maybe that is why they sent me the H910PR at first.
