Me and my friends were attempting to downgrade to 4.4.2 and after clicking start on the file on odin it said reset and pass within like 2 minutes and now were stuck whenever we click reboot or try a factory reset it just comes back to recovery booting and keeps doing that stuck on the galaxy start up. At this point we just want access back to our phones..
It sounds like you have a mismatch between your bootloader version and your android version? You should specify what bootloader version you have and which version you were trying to get to.

Hi, Im new to the forum.
My Galaxy S5 LTE-A (G906S) has been stuck in a boot loop. I successfully restored it through Kies a month ago but now its doing the same thing.
I've now tried flashing with both, Kies and Odin, but it still appears to be in a boot loop but now with a prompt at the top "recovery booting" in blue.
Also I can only access the download mode and cant seem to enter recovery. If i try to charge it while off it enters bootloop. Hope it isnt a hardware problem... Can anyone please shed some light on the issue.
Thanks
PS. The device isnt/wasnt rooted.

Can you suggest which one on here would do the job
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G906S/
Ive tried the 3 on the top, to no avail
Can not boot into recovery due to AT&T update wanting to install, and stuck in BTLP.
My S7 Edge is stuck in a bootloop, USB Debugging is off unfortunately cause the packages all started to crash on the phone for no reason, and now it turned off and entered a bootloop. I can not enter recovery mode cause every time I attempt to enter recovery it prompts a AT&T update and will not let me get pass that yet the update fails every time. I have attempted to reflash to original firmware although ODIN gets stuck on setupconnection every time. Please help!
I had this happen once. I had to enter bootloader (not recovery) and reflash using ODIN. Try some of the different ODIN builds floating around in these forums if you're having problems

hi i have the same problem , can you explain how to enter the bootloader please ,
Bootloader aka download mode: turn device off. Hold volume down, home, and power button at same time.
Remember: volume down for download mode. Volume up gets you into recovery
A client brought in her phone (S4-i337) that was in recovery mode, at first i thought it was something simple but not really. At first i did a wipe data but it couldn't boot up instead after rebooting, it went back to recovery mode. Surprisingly, this phone boots up normally when you try to boot to download mode. As in, when i press Volume down + Home + Power, instead of it going to download mode, it boots up fully then i happen to use it for until when I restart it. I've updated it to Android 5 using some file that i found on some forum, thought it would help but same case. Members, am out of ideas on what i should do. I've flashed it with Z3X box, but i also get an error, same as Odin. Any help is highly appreciated
What are you flashing to the phone? If it was running a stock 4.4.2 ROM or newer, the bootloader would be locked and AT&T never released a complete Odin firmware flash after 4.1.2.
I try to root my phone using this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039, but I think it is too old to apply on my phone. I followed step by step until I installed the root.tar file using Odin. After that moment, my phone went on with the boot loop, but I can still access to recovery booting. I went on and try to find a way to fix it. I saw youtube saw a video that designed especially for S7/S7 edge. He downloaded a firmware from SamMobile and use Odin to reset the whole thing. I tried the same, using the Odin, getting into the Downloading mode. Successfully download the firmware into my phone, and phone starting to reboot. Again that same boot loop except, I couldn't get into Recovery booting though.
Now the the phone keeps rebooting with the Recovery Booting on top of corner left.
How can I fix it?
Should I bring it to store?
I read a guide here confirm it's not bricked.

After understanding what are definition of AP, BL, CP, and CSC. Instead of flashing only AP, I flash all 4. And for some reason, I got into the Recovery Mode where I can factory reset my phone.
Power+VolumeDown+Home will reset phone. Then hold Power+VolumeDown+Home for Download Mode or Power+VolumeUp+Home for recovery mode. Once in recovery mode, just wait a minute or two and that should always bring you back to the standard Android recovery screen where you can either apply adb update.zip via sideload or reboot phone to system (which should kick you out of this loop).
so i accidentally destroyed my efs partition on my Samsung and last baseband and all that in the process of trying to fix that i seem to have broken the bootloader or something so the phone just flashes on the samsung logo, when i try to flash stock firmware or anything other than twrp the flash fails and the phone shows this error: "an error has occurred while updating the device software. Use emergency function in the smart switch pc software." the phone isn't reconised in the smart switch software though so i cant try to fix it through that. im really not sure what to do at this point, does anyone have any ideas?
Update: i managed to find the latest firmware to flash (CRGB) however my phone gets stuck on the flashing samsung logo and idk what to do now. also my efs partition is broken is there a way i can fix that? (i dont have a backup)
can u boot to twrp?
