i recently update my note 3 to lollipop 5.0 N9005DXUGBOA3 .
MY question is is there any risk of rooting this device and anything to backup first before run root process because i heard that there is csv @ imei no to backup or i might make some mistake.
really need some help in this and is there any best custom recovery for note 3 ?
thanks

Maybe read some first?
Backup your data to sd or pc. Photos, contacts etc..
You will lose warranty.
Twrp is a good recovery
Flash supersu with twrp to gain root access. Or flash with odin.

Does this method work for N7105? IF it does, please include the relevant recovery or if not you should change the title so that it reads for N7100 only.
This method will trip your Knox counter.
Therefore you loose your warranty!

Then please add on the OP that dis method wil trip knox trigger. Sum newbies might try this method on their new fones, without knowing.
So basically this method is for those people who dont care bout the warranty or those who hv completed their warranty.

There are multiple threads right here in the forums that offer step to step instructions for rooting your model of grand prime. Use the search function and you'll find them.
Root is similar to having administrator rights on your computer, it allows deeper levels of modification than is available on an unrooted device. There are apps available that will allow you to transfer your apps to SD card also, however most, if not all require root.

You will have to unroot your device before updating, you may then be unable to root again for some time until a new method is found.
However there are custom ROMs available for you device amongst other things.
I invite you to read through the forums for more information

Well, if you have TWRP you can just flash SuperSU flashable zip[ a guaranteed successful root with a very easy way plus if you have phone with marshmallow and above kingroot won't able to root because of new anti-root protection added so normal/kingroot won't work]
The best way to root G530H is flashing this by odin. Link here. http://d-h.st/oqFc. After flashing it flash any recovery by odin.

Try it buddy.
If you can root via Odin then it don't matter.
You can always root again if you lose it.
I think that you will lose root as your putting the original firmware back on.
Try it and report back what happened.

Hi m8 i think this does not remove your root im pretty sure i factory reset my device without getting rid of root and if u have mm root using twrp ?
Factory reset dont reset root . It only delete your data and set setting to default .

It isn't bad at all. The bad thing is when your battery is degraded..
Hello everyone.
My phone did a self factory reset 2 weeks ago, and root was still there, but unsuable (if i accept or refuse, it will spam the pop up and will not do anything)
I flashed CF with Odin to root it again, but was stuck on samsung logo, even after 30min, so I removed battery.
After this, I'm kinda stuck. My internal storage (or the entire phone?) is on read-only, and I can't restorecon via adb because I don't have root permissions.
Should I flash this firmware on my phone to make it back to default? (root removed, internal storage still available and data not wiped)
Is there another solution?
Thanks !
If your phone was running a stock ROM, flashing the same stock ROM with Odin should leave the data intact.

I've smashed that thanks button, will flash the ROM on my phone and will come back for updates.
Quick update : flashing the ROM solved my problems with internal storage locked and root.
But I flashed the CF again, and it did the same problem.
Is it so old that there's no method to root a Note 3 4.4.2?
I managed to do it a long time ago, but don't remember what I've used.
Any help for that?
