[Q] LG D802 CWM bootloop.. Please Help

Hi,
I have internation variant of G2, D802.
I rooted and installed CWM but did not flash any ROM.. use stock itself.
Then suddenly did OTA and stuck in CWM bootloop.
SAW the thread for TWRP bootloop and i was not able to get adb working..
finally, i formatted all partitions shown in CWM advanced menu, then adb started working in PC.. when i start adb in command prompt, it showed my device as recovery. then i pushed omni rom and flashed it.. again my phone went to cwm bootloop.
Can someone please please help on this? i am stuck for past 2 weeks...

Hi.. U are not the only 1, having problems after trying OTA.. But I assume u can go into download mode cuz u can access CWM..

Read carefully and follow step by step.. It did it for me.. Remember to hit thanks button to creater of post...

thanks for your response.. this method tells me to boot into download mode.. but when i press volume up + power, or any combination, the phone always goes into CWM only.. unable to go into download mode... can you please help..

Instructions :
full wipe recommended then flash using philz v6.15.4.0 or v6.19.3.0

How to enable art??
(this will bootloop/stuck on samsung logo for sure 100%)
go to recovery mount /system and /data
then use adb
Code:
adb pull /data/property/persist.sys.dalvik.vm.lib
open the file and replace the "libart.so" with "libdvm.so" (no quotes) and vice versa.
for dalvik use "libdvm.so" ///////////// for art use "libart.so"

adb push persist.sys.dalvik.vm.lib /data/property/
Reboot
enjoy bootloop.
some files might be missing.
why?? bcoz if anyone can find how to enable art then it will be too beautiful.

no ss sorry. its tw rom.

Note- Those facing problem with bootloop, flash TWRP 2.6.3.1. You don't even need to select any option like in Philz as stated in OP. Just do a clean install (wipe system, data, dalvik, cache).

update : supersu will fc but it works.. only app needs to be updated i think from chainfire for this leak.
or kernel to be patched for permissive or disabled.

I have a problem , i came from stock 4.3 , i flashed the rom in philz with full wipe twice and still stuck at the samsung logo.
Any suggestions?

First time yes the rom flashed properly and stuck at samsung logo , then i flashed the latest philz recovery 6.19.3 and almost at the end of the flashing i had error 7.
I will try again , now i'm flashing via odin the official 4.3 ENA3 and i will try again

Silly question--but, did you make a Nandroid backup before flashing the 4.4.2 ROM?? If so, why not restore?

Why you need to root your phone since you already using custom rom???

You should enter the hardware recovery mode and try to reinstall the custom ROM again.

Wrongly installed TWRP 3.0. 2-0

I was running on an older version of TWRP. Also I had uprooted my phone recently due to battery heating and media server issue. I flashed the new zip file but did not clear cache after flashing instead directly booted into system. System boots perfectly but cannot load recovery as it gets stuck on splash screen( Lenovo logo). Please do help me.

Flash it back to older twrp version using fastboot.

There is one more new problem. I tried to update the OTA update but got stuck at boot screen. It's not responding after the Lenovo logo. I think the issue is not having any recovery(custom nor stock). How to fix this issue? Please help me to

Thank you. But can you please tell how to do this via the flash boot. I haven't tried yet in a PC. I installed the older TWRP and now tried flashing the new version using my phone. Wouldn't I get stuck because none of the recoveries(custom and stock) are opening

can you boot into the system? if Yes then use rashr app and flash twrp's img file from the storage.. and reboot to recovery and u don't need to update to stock lollipop you can directly flash cm12.1 by ed300 and after booting into system once you can install any lollipop or marshmallow rom with the help of recovery. i advice you to not to do update as u r a root user.

Thank you bro. Yes I can boot into system. Actually I'm not root user anymore. I had heating issues with the battery earlier. After rooting media server started draining battery. So i uninstalled SuperSU.

You first hv to root for the installation of recovery.. First root ur phone then install stock recovery.. Using flashify or rashr.

If you can boot into system, then you can use adb sideload to flash zips(recovery or rom).
For detailed info, google it or go to http://www.droidviews.com/sideload-roms-mods-using-adb-sideload/
If it doesn't work, root your phone and then install flashfire. Then use it to flash recovery.

Thanks bro. Is it bad to root using iRoot or KingRoot? Or should I do it using ADB?

@Iamjomy if you have pc then go for adb otherwise go for the latest version of kingoroot.. I rooted with kingroot.. No problem in that.. You can find that apk by searching on google.. !!

Thank you soo much. I flashed TWRP 2.8 using Flashify and it works. Actually I wanted to do a factory reset to solve "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped" issue. It wasn't allowing me to turn on my mobile data. I couldn't reset the phone too as a recovery was missing. Now the issue is fixed and I'm happy with it. Can I flash the TWRP 3.0.2-0 similarly using Flashify? Also please do suggest some good ROMS bro. Im still on the KitKat version( S040_150805)

Recovery version are depended on the different andtoid versions.. 3.0.2 is for the LP and MM.. If u use custom roms then u can use that.. I dnt suggest you to use that as u r on the lollipop.. And the best roms are.. CM12.1, RR5.7.3, MOKEE, XOSP.. press thanks if i helped you. !!

My device is Lenovo a6000 and i updated to 5.0.2 Lollipop ,later I rooted my phone changed the Roms a couple of times.Then I finally downgraded to KitKat and now I cannot access my phone's recovery even through adb.
When I try to boot in to recovery I will stuck on Lenovo logo and i have to remove the battery to reboot it.
Anyone who knows how to solve this problem please help me ... please

1)flash recovery(custom or stock,as u wish) again by fastboot or flashing app like rashr or flashify.
2)If command is not working then try button combo.FYI button combo is different for custom rom and stock rom.

If you are on KitKat , you have to flash TWRP kitkat recovery.

Did you tried flashing recovery by fastboot?
If that fails also then ,try to root your phone with kingroot and try flashify again.
BTW if you are on KitKat then flash KitKat t.w.r.p first .

If you can access fastboot,
this command will directly load TWRP (Use command in the folder that has kitkat-recovery.img, hope you have downloaded that.)
fastboot boot kitkat-recovery.img

1.First root your device(kingroot apk)2.and download twrp recovery IMG. 3.And install rashr apk download in play store.4.goto file manager and select recovery IMG(or open the zip file select IMG) 5.open with rashr 6.tick to recovery and flash.100% working.but root is must

Dwnld any rooting app and then by using The TWRP app,Or Flashify. U flash TWRP Img 2.7.0 by seven Mars. It's the best img
