Who wants to bet it's just an update to try and preclude moonbutt74's new-found root method?

Yeah I know I meant they were trying to prevent his new method from being duplicated for the T330. It was just an idle guess, not 100% percent serious
@haroon aejaz
Error establishing a database connection
the "fix" was just disabling selinux and it wasn't mine, it was a kernel patch that Jazz pointed me to.
nobody responded to my request for a tester for the other tabs so meh.
my working krnel source is on git so anyone who wants to pick up working for the sm-t331 and sm-t335 can do so.

You can also use emotion kernel r22 beta and mickey kernel 5.11
Does it work with Rogers lastest update Nov 30 2015
Thank you so much for this, I have been waiting to root for months, but I wonder does it work with the latest software upgrade from Rogers released Nov 30 2015?

Yes it does, I am running the latest update and I have full root. And as I mentioned before you don't have to use the kernel op referenced, all you have to do to achieve root is flash twrp/cwm recovery in odin, then flash either emotion kernel, mickey kernel, or beast mode. Then after that you flash supersu and you will have full root. Very simple, root has been available for sm-n915w8 since august

No guarantees it will flash properly. It depends on the size of the hidden partition. I would wait for a debranded firmware like BTU or XEU.

Can the firmware be flashed over 925I model?? Since the hardware is same I guess it shouldn't be a problem??
Thanks for your input @ joecool666 and @lynxblaine.
This morning I just received the 7 OTA on my device and is installing as we speak. It's aprox 200MB smaller than on the S7e (i'm on S6e).
For anyone interested.. I flashed this last night.. but it FAILED on hidden partition... had to emergency repair it. I'm using g925f in the UK on Vodafone..
Edit...
I flashed the UK Vodafone from sammobile
can i flash it with odin or i must install twrp recovery first?
has anyone tried secure folder app ?
I've installed it from Sammobile but it does not run saying "unauthorised"
I made a video of all the new features and the whole new design with nougat

Flash it with Odin. Why would you install TWRP for the purpose of updating to Nougat Official?
Does not make sense. Hence, good luck and happy flashing official OS 7.

stock rom turkey.
1-) activate 'all apps on home screen' from galaxy labs menu on marshmallow.
2-) then update to nougat via OTA
that is it.
This feature doesn't exist for all s7 edge users. Probably you were using this before 7.0 thats why still active for you and like yours.
In Turkish: Hocam 7.0'a güncellemeden önce bu özellik herkeste vardı. Eğer aktifken 7.0 a güncellediyseniz ordan kalmış oluyor büyük ihtimalle.
Edit: Siz zaten yazmışsınız pardon

If you are using 7.0 downgrade it to 6.0 and activate Galaxy Labs this feature. Then upgrade it to 7.0
Can you downgrade easily ?
Read somewhere that there were issues with downgrading

It's simple. Just find 6.0 stock rom and install with Odin. This means "Downgrade".

Yeah , thanks know that far. I was worried as for the firmware that was also upgraded from 6 to 7.0.
Build 9.0 for the Blu R1 HD has been released.
Was around 80mb download from the previous latest version.
This version bring the security patch up from 5 August to 5 November
I haven't noticed anything else yet but I can confirm it's working fine

No, there isn't. You can not root or flash recovery to any Blu R1 HD with stock ROM version 8 or higher. Most of us rooted our phones when they were version 6.
