Checked everyday and today there is a new Kdz for my BAL euro h815.
It should be substantially the same update as in the other v10c thread but their could be a Brand version, mine is for sure for the euro UNBRANDED version.
I'm on root now so I can't flash it but anyone who flashes it pleas pull system.img to SD card and upload it (following the h815 backup system.img of the root thread).
Thank you all, HERE the link http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FWEBK7M1324DAAA5C3C7U7F/H81510C_00.kdz
Yes, no brand. However it seems that version posted in the other v10c thread was for no brand too. If so, my mistake.
Changelog is the same as previous update and, as previously mentioned, it would become v10c but probably V10d in build prop
Can you back up your full partition and share it with me?
Can you back up your full partition and share it with me? I need it .please help me! mine is not the EUR's
What do you mean? There is a prerooted v10c(d) system.img on the root thread.
1. Flashed v10c(d) Kdz with normal flash
2. Rooted flashing prerooted v10c(d) system.img
3. Enjoy
Autoprime said that bootloader version is not incremented so you can always downgrade flashing previous Kdz
Mine is branded 815 USA. Used the prerooted 10D system file however in about it still says 10b..?

Some people noticed this when they flashed the rooted 10c image. It still showed 10b. It's not an issue, just ignore it
Or you could try flashing again over the top of itself to see if that fixes it.

Full partition backup file for EUR's G4.Mine is the US G4. I need it .Your mobile is EU's
I flashed this to my O2UK Branded G4 in the hope to become unbranded. Everything seems to work fine and the update feels really smooth. The only issue I have is that I get this error on boot:
WARNING!
Current version is not available for user. Can't find matched cust for NT-code mmc/mnc[23410], subset[02]
maybe someone knows what this means? Like I say everything seems to work like data and calls so I'm happy to just ignore it for now.

I have a 10/b with unlocked bootloader, after flashing 10c with lg flash tools, can I root it with low effot method?
You can flash Kdz choosing "normal" this will not erase your data partition.
Yes failax you can root using a prerooted v10d image
This is the Best version even charging is a bit faster now with the screen on. Before it would just stay there not moving up when screen is on.

Now a new method for root has poped up over here but it says if your firmware doesn't match i will need to OTA to the proper version or wait.

Can you please clarify for me your steps either here or by private message as i want to upgrade to the latest 10c/d patch. i'm coming form samusing based phone and im little confused by flashing pre-rooted images and the root method went waaaaaaay over my head.
If anyone else can help point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

With an unlocked bootloader you won't need the "low effort root" - just update with KDZ and install root through twrp again...

Hi guys,
Tried using Mobile Upgrade Q 5..0.0 and it would not download the software , always stuck at 20/100 .

I guess so as i did tried to reflash stock ROM with Mobile Upgrade Q 5.0.0 a few days ago, but it didn´t work. Then i used Mobile Upgrade Q 5.1.8 but it displayed that i had the latest software so no reflashing at all, i was incapable of reflashing and clearing the \system partition, for me it is a real problem as i was expecting to delete all the traces of SuperSU root, Xposed, etc; with the aim of moving to Magisk and keep passing safetynet. Anyone has any clue so that could help me reflashing latest stock MM ROM?

I was also considering downgrade to LP by performing a restore from my TWRP backup. May be easier and safer, as ELUGA modifies certain branded partitions, I guess... Any inconvenience related to that?
I have never got the mobile upgrade to work, not even this version, and that is a shame because here in Finland we have no OTA since lollipop, and I can not understand how the official MM-rom is nowhere to be found, even if the phone have the option of update from storage. If only I could find the update file, I presumably could update without any rooting or twrp or anything, and keep it factory fresh and under warranty?

I agree with you, that is a bad movement from Alcatel not to give access to ROM zip. It would be so easy to flash it via settings _ apply update from zip, as many devices do. Weeks ago I was desperate to find a stock zip for my 6045Y but no luck. It's a shame to let dye this music lover smartphone.
I have the stock MM rom if anybody wants it.

Sorry, i didn't explain myself properly. I mean, I have already the latest MM stock ROM dated from january of 2017, my device is a 6045Y. However, a few days ago there has been released an update, but my guess is that only for 6045I devices, so i don't have it and can´t reflash my Idol 3 with the same ROM i currently have.
PS:
I tried to flash via TWRP this zip https://forum.xda-developers.com/idol-3/development/6045y-mm-6-0-1-firmware-european-idol3-t3435577 and then use the Mobile Upgrade Q to get the latest MM stock, but Mobile Upgrade Q keeps saying "you have already the latest update" which this statement is not true after flashing this zip. Finally, I restored my TWRP backup so i'm in the same state as i began this morning, i'm tired of this policy of Alcatel that there is no official zip from stock firmwares, the only way is using an online tool thar refuses to reflash the same firmware.
I am from india, using 6045k, lost duel sim support due to flashing of marionette's Rom. Still trying to get duel sim back, tried eluga firmware also, but unfortunately i didn't get any error at 45%. Now i am using flyos 2.0, its working like charm. But only one sim is there, i tried several software upgrader versions, but server is not connecting, its always stuck at 20%.
Its been a year that i am trying to get to stock rom. I have done search in several threads and contacted some senior members but it didn't help,
Pls help me, how can i get back to stock rom and get duel sim Support back??

can anyone help me with it?

I'm worried that I've permanently messed up my phone. I didn't make a backup of my stock firmware when I first flashed Lineage OS, and then I was having issues with that, so now I'm using the stock one again, but it's not official. I used fastboot to flash it and then flashed twrp and magisk. That should of been sufficient to factory reset it right? It just keeps having little problems that it didn't have before, like internet loading things slowly and bugs and crashing apps. The reason I switched off the Lineage OS rom is because it had little problems like that too. I just don't know what to do anymore.
Relevant Info:
Device: Moto G5 Plus Unlocked US version
Carrier: T-Mobile

What exactly are your problems? Check the thread of the custom ROM you installed and look for fixes there, maybe you installed an outdated version and your problems have been fixed in the updates. Good luck.

What do you mean with "stock but not official"?
Where did you get it from?
There are some sources for official firmwares signed by Motorola here on XDA so what makes you think the one you use isn't official?
If so that could be for sure the reason for problems for I have to say that I haven't seen unofficial stock ROMs except TWRP flashables (you said you flashed using fastboot so it can't be this) or debloated stock ROMs.

If you can flash the firmware by fastboot it's most likely an official signed firmware that was leaked. To be on the safe side use the firmware found here on XDA like this source:
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/potter/official/RETAIL/
Just make sure to use the same firmware you we're on or a newer one that fits to your region.
I recommend to reflash the latest stock firmware, maybe something went wrong the first time.
And remember to always make a backup before you flash anything that could cause problems.
It the latest stock firmware different from the stock rom I flashed?
You can also try the repair function in Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant app.

Any firmware you'll find is leaked even the official ones. Motorola doesn't release any firmwares except the ones you can download with Lenovo Motorola Smart Assistant.
The link I posted https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/potter/official/RETAIL/
contains official firmwares too. The latest one for the US (85-17-4) can be found there too.
What happens exactly when your OTA fails?

You can't take any system updates when you have TWRP installed!
For OTA you have to be on unrooted full stock ROM incl. stock recovery. This is a very important rule.
So you have to ways to handle this:
- Flash clean stock firmware and apply to the OTA afterwards (if you flash the latest firmware 17.4 you don't need the OTA anymore). You will loose your internal storage data or skip the "erase userdata" command.
Firmware from here: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/potter/official/RETAIL/
- Take a TWRP flashable build but be aware that you can't take OTA updates at all in the future which is not needed as the firmwares are up to date.
TWRP flashables here:

Will flashing a new build delete my data?
I bought a Galaxy s5 on Amazon a few years ago, and now I want to give it to my child. The phone is not rooted, and the current version of the OS is 5. I wanted to upgrade it to 6 (in order to install the family link app) but I have got an auth error in odin with several firmwares that I tried to install. I am now trying to find the exact model of the phone, but I am really confused:
On the one hand - on the sticker behind the battery it is written SM-G900F, this is also the model that I see in the phone's setting, the PDA version is G900FXXU1POEC, and the CSC version is G900FOJV1POF1.
On the other hand, the bootloader version is G9006VZNU1BOE3, this is also the baseband version, and when I entered into download mode the model of the phone is SM-G9006V
So what is the correct phone version? Which firmware should I download?

I don't have either variants you had mentioned myself but, it looks like you have the following SM-G900F device...
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s5/firmware/SM-G900F/XSG/
... with the following firmware that was originally flashed.
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s5/firmware/SM-G900F/XSG/download/G900FXXU1POEC/48069/
That's the original firmware before the firmware was changed to the SM-G9006V.
This was possible because the SM-G900F device is an international variant. The international variants comes with its Bootloader already unlocked.
I hoped that I had clarified this okay via text...
Good Luck!

Stickers can be changed & users may install the wrong stuff on their S5.
The only way to know the truth about what is your S5 model is to turn off the phone & boot in Odin Mode (aka Download mode): press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons and confirm with Volume up to Continue.
What is the PRODUCT NAME that you can see after you accept the disclamer?
I mean like in the attach photo.
Then you can go to a site like https://www.sammobile.com/ and get the most recent Samsung firmware for your model which will also install the proper modem & bootloader (named aboot on the S5). See the Instructions (1 file) chapter in their download pages which applies to the S5.

Why not upgrade to Android 9.0 on which is based LineageOS 16.0 if your S5 model is compatible.

So my gf bought a Galaxy S5 off of amazon a while back and according to the software, it had Stock Android 5.0 for G900F loaded on the phone.
When booting into Recovery(TWRP) it seems that it was infact a G9006V and not a G900F variant. So in short, someone was dishonest and sold a Chinese variant as an international Variant. {bold by me}

The only stock Samsung 6.0.1 that you can install on your SM-G9006V was made for China Unicom and it does not include the Google framework which is required to install Play Store & many apps thanks to the Great Firewall of China censorship policy: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s5/firmware/SM-G9006V/
You can find other similar cases with this search: site:forum.xda-developers.com/ SM-G9006V
AFAIK you have 3 options:
Keep the phone as it is.
Try to find some modified Samsung 6.0.1 or other custom firmwares on XDA that would work on your SM-G9006V.
Do a full TWRP backup then update to the awesome LineageOS 16.0 as described here including updating TWRP (SM-G9006V compatible version) & the modem & bootloader for the SM-G9006V. The post includes links to pages explaining how to do that: S5 super clean install
Edit: I did no search very hard but could not find an Odin flashable modem & bootloader package for the SM-G9006V. So in that case installing the most recent stock Samsung 6.0.1 for SM-G9006V will update your modem/baseband to G9006VZNS1CRH1 + the bootloader then you flash TWRP then you can flash LineageOS + Open GApps (for the Play Store).
WARNING: Do NOT flash any bootloader not made specifically for the SM-G9006V.

So, from what I understand, do you recommend that I'll first download and flash the stock 6.01 for SM-G9006V, which is China unicorn, and then I'll install LineagaOS 16.0?

Yes because the fingerprint sensor will not work with your old Android 5.0 modem & bootloader in Android 9.0 on which LineageOS 16.0 is based besides probably giving you better network reception & better battery life.
But as described in S5 super clean install: stock Samsung firmware > with your SIM inserted make sure you get network signal & data then write down the APN settings: Settings > More networks > Mobile networks > Access point Names (and/or make some screenshots of it: volume down + Power buttons, should be saved in internal sdcard > DCIM > Screenshots). That's just in case you have a network access problem in LineageOS. > install TWRP using Odin3 (see Flashing TWRP Recovery on Samsung Firmware chapter) > Backup the EFS partition to the external Micro SD card using TWRP while still running the stock Samsung firmware > install LineageOS + Open GApps.
Just curious: could you make some screenshots of all the installed apps in the stock China S5 Samsung firmware please? You need to copy or move them to computer before installing LineageOS because they will be erased if you use Format Data in TWRP which is recommended.
Because you have less than 10 posts @ the present you can't post links or attach images as per XDA's rules I think. You can post anything in the XDA Off-topic forum until you reach 10 posts: https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/off-topic which is preferable or upload them somewhere and post a broken link with spaces like https ://forum.xda-developers .com & we will understand.
BTW in LineageOS the screenshots are saved in internal sdcard > Pictures > Screenshots. APN: Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network > expand Advanced > scroll all the way down to > Access Point Names (APN)… works on my Galaxy S5 G900M LineageOS 16.0.
"...which is China unicorn" - Maybe they do have some unicorns in China but in this case it's China Unicom.

As long if you know your working APN settings. The reason is some network providers may not be in the LineageOS providers files or some providers do not like custom firmwares.
What is your network provider + country & do you have LTE on the status bar?
Tip: go to your XDA profile in this panel https://forum.xda-developers.com/profile.php?do=editprofile and add info > Devices: Samsung Galaxy S5. > Additional Information > Service provider as it's useful for troubleshooting & it will show when clicking the arrow under the username in a browser. Also > City & Home country & then you will get a flag under your username which gives an international flavor to the XDA threads IMO.
Note: @postai you have to make a new EFS partition backup after updating to 6.0.1 as it will modify some files in that partition.

No because TWRP is flashed with Odin & Odin is a good that can do many things.
Then with an unlocked bootloader (which is the case for most S5 klte variants out-of-the-box including yours except for the SM-G900V) TWRP can flash a .zip firmware. Root is to do stuff while running in System.
I updated S5 super clean install with some stuff about root after flashing LineageOS.
You said in post #1 that the S5 was for your child. How old is he or she?

He is 12. I wanted to install Google family link before I am giving him the phone. However, this app does not work on Lollipop, thus I started the adventure of upgrading the OS (which turns out to be longer than I expected)

Yes after flashing TWRP on your S5 running Samsung stock 6.0.1 you can use it to restore a TWRP backup.
That feature is awesome as you can try different custom firmwares and quickly return to your current state.
If you don’t have a network problem restore only Boot (which is the kernel & not the S5's aboot - bootloader), System (Android OS) & Data (Apps) according to the principle: if it ain't broken, don't fix it as Samsung stock 6.0.1 will modify modem & EFS partition.

Just a small update: I finally succeeded to download the Chinese firmware to my PC, and installed it through Odin (this is the first firmware that didn't give me the "Auth" error).
All my apps are still there, but all Google apps (Play, Maps, YouTube, etc.) and Chrome are not working. I get an error message that they need to be updated, but when I try to resolve it nothing happens. I will now try to do a clean install of LineageOS.
I don't think I'll backup the current version, since I won't restore it anyway. If something goes wrong with the LineagaOS installation I'll try to use my current backup and restore the original Android 5.

That's the Great Firewall of China censorship policy in action.
I wonder how your other apps got restored as the Samsung Firmware should have wiped everything. Did your apps downloaded automatically after signing in a Google account? If so that's weird as you are saying that Play Store is disabled as expected.

The Samsung firmware didn't wipe everything. I even didn't have to sign-in again in a Google account.
However, it did change the recovery, so I had to reinstall TWRP. I will do the clean install of LineageOS and report back...
Another update: I followed the instructions and installed LineageOS successfully.
Everything went flawlessly, except for the launcher. I tried the first option, from Google, and I entered an endless loop of errors. The app keep crashing and tried to load itself again and again. Somehow I succeed to set the other launcher to be the default, I think the name is Trebuchet, and then everything worked.
I also installed Family link, and everything is working perfectly. Thanks curiousrom!
Hello LG fans,
There is an old thread with a similar title, but since it is inactive I started this one. For certain reasons I got this G4 phone only few days ago. The model number on the box and under-battery tag as well as in settings showed F500 (just F500 without any suffix S, L, or K). It came with Android 5.1, and everything was working well. Online search showed that F500X phones can be officially updated to Nougat 7.0, but the phone OTA update said no update was available.
As per LG website, I installed LG Bridge to get the updates. It identified the phone as F500K and found two updates. First it installed 6.0 Marshmallow and then 7.0 Nougat software version F500K30c. Also the model no changed to F500K in settings. I think this probably means it is is a refurbished phone
The Installation was successful, but it installed a Korea Telecom version with some Korean stuff. I uninstalled or disabled all the Korean bloat I could without root, but there are still a few things remaining, and some Korean language here and there.
In general, I’m quite satisfied with the phone. The only thing I wish to get rid of is the KT Wifi manager app which is all in Korean, and I don’t know what it does or which settings to select. It is a system app, and I can’t uninstall or disable it, but my wifi and data networks seem to be working fine, so no complaints. I’ve seen several people here and elsewhere complaining about network issues, boot loops and bricks, but so far I haven’t experienced any. I hope it stays this way :fingers-crossed:
I was wondering about the other variants F500S and F500L, do they also have Korean bloat and is it more or less than F500K? I have read somewhere that these three firmware variants can be interchangeably installed. Is this the case, and if so, is it advisable to install another variant? I have been reading about this phone, but this is my first time to use an LG phones, and I have no experience with their software and tools, so any help, ideas or suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

You could
downgrade to MM,
backup with SALT (CRUCIAL important),
unlock by UsU ,
extract with SALT: system ,modem and boot partitions from a f500 kdz,
root and debloat or (if you like to) install a custom ROM
Check the UsU and SALT threads (you can find both in my signature)

Thank you @steadfasterX for your reply,
It's quite an honor the Guru himself was the first to reply to my post. I have seen many of your posts and replies in the forum before, and now looked at some of the stuff in your signature. Pretty impressive work. I definitely need to spend some time learning about them particularly SALT and FWUL, as I have also started learning and using Linux lately. How come FWUL is not shown on distrowatch?
For the time being, I was thinking to stick to stock Nougat 7.0 as it's a fairly recent OS, and the phone is fine even with the remaining little Korean stuff. My main dissatisfaction really is with the mysterious kt wifi manager app which is all in Korean and has some settings which I don't know what they are. If just replacing the current Nougat 7.0 with another variant S or L is actually possible, and these variants don't have a similar app, this would be great.
I have been searching for information about these S/L/K firmware variant differences but couldn't find much. I hope other S & L phone owners could tell us about their phones. The only thing I could find so far is that each is for a different carrier in Korea, and that they can be interchangeably installed as per a Reddit post. I don't know how reliable this information is!
From a purely technical perspective for G4 F500 , is it possible to flash another F500 variant using LGUP, or is this something that shouldn't be done? I have seen many people getting in trouble for flashing wrong firmware. If this is safe to do, do I need to do any preparation work like downgrading to MM first, and should this be done as an upgrade or a refurbish? For what it's worth, my ARB value is 0.
Thanks

Hi Sfx,
1. to downgrade to MM... use uppercut, right? I'm using latest 20u for F500l is OK for UsU?
2. after backing up with SALT, can I revert back anytime after unlock and with new custom ROM?
3. after rooting, do I install twrp and load custom ROM? and can I extract 30b Nougat's modem from KDZ to use with the custom ROM?
thanks so much in advance for answering...

ok so one thing first. the most important one: Ensure you keep your ARB at 0. This is crucial important. So never ever flash anything (including QFIL restore files!!!) where you are not 10000% sure it wouldn't increase your ARB.
If you are about to flash a KDZ then check that file with SALT first (simply press extract and it will display the ARB). If you flash anything else.. well ensure that the files offered have that information listed and hope and pray its not wrong (e.g. there are QFIL files around which are labeled for a ARB 0 model but contain ARB2 files..). Never heard about a wrong labeled KDZ file but who knows.
The second important thing is (maybe its even the first): before doing anything, do a full backup with SALT (basic is fine) and (!!) move that to a secure place! (I saw so many ppl who lost their backup through several ways).
So when going on through the UsU process you will have 2 SALT backups: the one before downgrading to MM and another one after you downgraded to MM (tbh the more important one). If you can keep them both.
so about flashing other variants: yes it IS technically possible to even flash e.g. h815 ROMs to a F500 and so converting it that way! but never try that with h811 KDZs or others..
anyways yea you could flash other F500 variants without fear (just carrier bloat is different) as long as you follow the above advises.

1. I dunno the latest MM F500 version but "20u" sounds good. Can't help in the downgrade process but there are plenty of guides here in the G4 forums.
2. dunno that you mean here.. but if you wanna know if you can stay on STOCK after UsU'ing yea sure. flashing UsU does not require to go for a custom ROM. It just gives you the freedom to do so.
3. if you follow the UsU guide you will have TWRP already and that's the place where you install a custom ROM if you like. Sure extract the 30b modem and flash it in fastboot should work fine (after UsU).

if you would flash h811 on yours you will increase your ARB so do NOT flash that.
Use a h815 based ROM even when SALT compat shows different. your partition layout is somehow weird..
