Workaround for using GPS if you have disabled LocationManagerService - Galaxy S6 General

Hi
I have made a battery thread a while ago and also mentioned a few services you could disable (without any hassle) from Google Play Services to lower the wakelocks from it.
One of those was LocationManagerService. I saw that Google Maps worked fine with GPS while other apps did'nt work if it was disabled.
I then tried to move apps like Endomondo and Snapchat to system and made them system apps and suddenly they could access the GPS too.
So well, if anyone want to disable a few services to lower Google Play Services wakelocks you can make your GPS apps to system apps and use the GPS just fine again.

Google Maps greyed out in third-party applications

So I've been having this problem where all third party apps using the Google Maps API (S Health) for example, don't show any map features. Roads, parks, bodies of water are nonexistent, all I can see is a location indicator and a sea of grey tiles, and I don't recall changing any settings recently. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Google Play Services, reset app permissions, and cleared both the device and app cache to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.
Below are screenshots of the bug occurring in two separate apps. The same occurs in any app with a Google-powered maps function.

I've got my apps displaying Google maps properly now, but I haven't done anything since I posted this problem yesterday. My best guess is that uninstalling and reinstalling Google Play Services did the trick and the process behind the fix was delayed.

Google Play Services GPS tracking my location

I caught it checking location numerous times throughout each day. How can I disable it? Why is it snooping on my location? I don't even use the Assistant and turned off all notifications in Maps.
dont think you can disable it, if you really want to be scared install a process app from play store, google play services has about 350 odd processes running in the background... thats why I see some guys going for a google free phone, and using apk mirror and F-droid as alternative app stores.
Did you turn off the location trackin in google section in settings?

Huawei p10 lite show Google Play services are updating

From now there is some days from phone show on app google play services are updating. i try restart, add location etc but still same. waze and google maps works but album does not.
how to fix it?
Seems to be a problem reported with a number of Huawei phones recently. Had it myself and googled a 'solution'. I went into Apps and disabled Play Services. Then rebooted the phone. On restart, prompts to update Play Services so allowed that and apps that use mapping etc. started working again. Seems others had problem re-appear on a reboot. I found the reports and solution here - https://stackoverflow.com/questions...ing-error-on-release-not-emulator-google-play

Disable Alexa?

HD 10 rooted. Is it possible to truly disable Alexa? I have it turned off, yet it is continually using 12-15% of my CPU. I think this is why I have such poor battery life. Thank you.
Nobody?? Every time I restart, this thing starts killing my battery until I do a force stop. Would love to kill it permanently. Did a file search, and there is a bunch of Alexa files. Not sure which one to rename, if that can be safely done.
Can have a Google Assistant
Make sure the Google apps are installed like Google Services Framework, Google Account Manager, Google Play Services, Google Play Store and Google app.
Can uninstall or disable the Alexa app
My solution was to use Titanium Backup to disable Alexa. Battery life vastly improved.

NOW I SEE! I DO NOT OPENING MAPS.... I USED GMAIL CHROME FB MESSENGER SNAPCHAT. EVEN WHEN LOCATION IS OFF STILL SEE IN LOCATION LAST USAGE MY BATTERY! BEFORE I NEVER SEEN WHEN ALWAYS ON OR ALWAYS OFF LOCATION. SO WHY I SEEN NOW????IN BATTERY USAGE . I USED THE PHONE 1 DAY AND NEVER SHOW GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES. I USED FOR GMAIL SNAPCHAT YOUTUBE AND SO ON! AND NO ONE APP GIVE PERMISSION TURN ON GPLAY SERVICES BECAUSE NOT AVAILABLE TO OPEN APP!!!!!! NOW WHEN I TURN OFF GPLAY SERVICES I CANT OPEN LIKE ,,VINTED APP" BECAUSE DO NOT LET INTERNAL MEMORY PERMISSION OF GPLAY SERVICES!!! I UNPLUG FROM CHARGER AND NOW I SEE GPLAY SERVICES STILL USING MY BATTERY EVEN WHEN NO CONNECTED TO INTERNET BEFORE NEVER SEE WHEN CONNECTED TO ANY INTERNET OR WITHOUT THAT!!!!!!!!!! WTF IS WRONG WITH MY PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Firstly, flash a custom recovery on your phone, then flash a custom rom, and then flash google apps. Because you just wanted google play services, flash the google apps, aroma installer from opengapps website, as this specific version lets you choose what apps you want installed on your phone.
