[Q] YT2 - why so much "Battery_wake_lock" ? - Thinkpad Tablet General

My YT2 got massive wakelock called "Battery_wake_lock". 70% awake, only because of this.
Did someone know what is this "Battery_wake_lock" and is this normal or not, or how to solve?
thx

I also have Android OS on first place for consuming battery, i dont know what is problem

I have the same problem, but I have a feeling it might have to do with BetterBatteryStats itself (if that's the tool you're using to view wakelocks).
So I have just uninstalled it, and will have a look if that will make a difference.

WakelockDetector ROOT gives the same result (both, normal + api mode).
I disabled the "Energie-Manager" App and it seems to get alot better...
Iam just testing again with and without energie-manager app enabled after a fresh reboot.
i can post results tomorrow...
*** Edit ***
Update 1: After 12hours in standby without energie-manager app enabled. (80% DeepSleep, 20% Awake), (1h 17m: "Battery_wake_lock"), (0,8% discharge/h).
current test running: 12 hours in standby with energie-manager app enabled...

Looking to see your results without and with that app. I have also rooted it, and disabled energy manager. But yeah afer i rooted same like you Battery_wake_lock is on first place.

Test 1: After 12hours in standby without energie-manager app enabled. (80% DeepSleep, 20% Awake), (1h 17m: "Battery_wake_lock"), (0,8% discharge/h)
Test 2: 12hours in standby and energie-manager app enabled. (78% DeepSleep, 22% Awake), (1h 45m: "Battery_wake_lock"), (0,9% discharge/h).
The results are almost the same, so the problem is not caused by "energie-manager".
And my massive wakelocks are gone. i dont know why...

Did you maybe disabled anything more, if you can screenshot your disabled apps that i can also turn off.

Test 3: 12hours standby with most apps disabled. (90% deep sleep, 10% awake), (1h 23m: "Battery_wake_lock"), (0,3% discharge/h).
Wakelocks are almost gone. "Battery_wake_lock" did not change, so i think it is not the akku-killer.
Here are my disabled apps for this test:

Battery Drain

How to detect the process that is draining the battery?
Does it exists a program to detect the usage of system resources?
No one is having significant battery drain??
no.i m not.all things are ok.
I notice a huge diference in battery life...
In normal use (no Wifi ou BT) i spend about 1% for each +-15-20min
How about you guys?
wifi consumes a lot of energy, so you can measure for how much time it will turn off from full battery. My battery fails and i have ordered a new one i will test it when i recieve the new one, but now it fails after 10 minutes of wifi usage
BA Very hot, and battery drains...FASTER.
I notice that i have battery drain since i've upgraded to wm6...
My BA it's very hot, i never seen it like this...
i have Wireless off, Beam off, Bluetooth off, low brightness...
Any one knows what's happen? Is it problem of WM6 or some application?
Is there anything overcloking my Ba???

Exactly the opposite !! If u want it to last longer , just reduce the brightness to 40% , believe me ull get surprised..
Xeon.... i have the brightness at minimum, but i think that the problem is not that... i always used brigtness like this...
theres some problem with this rom or with some application...
i dont think it's because of the ROM . i played Holdem Poker on my device 2 days ago it was fully charged and 4 hours later i got 34% remaining with Level : 2 Brightness , no wifi , gprs , bluetooth or MMC/SD installed . ( 1450mah battery )
well, it drains a bit faster, but...
WM6 is very good and stabble its a very good upside!
I've tested the following:
- No Wifi
- No BT
- No GPRS
- Brightness 100%
- SD inserted
- No operation at all (timers for backlight an turn off at 60min)
O got the following drainage:
HOURS BATTERY

(the timmings aren't all exact, because some times when I looked it had already changed the %)
In conclusion for each +-4min i lost 1% in battery. (remenber that brightness was 100% don't be scared )
Can anyone test in WM5 the same scenario? or in another WM6?
Mine is OK. I don't experience bigger drains than the WM5 baniaczek.
flyboy
I'm having +/- the same values that you post....
2% drains in 5 minutes.
Theres something that is making this... My BA is HOT, i've never seen it like this.
Problem from some application or from the rom... but what?
i've also noticed the temperature issue...
I dont have that temperature Issue . Maybe your XDA is sick or suffering from an inflammatory disease ? scan for viruses
so there is not significant battery drain in this rom, test without the home today plugin and you will find this out
i can not test much until i got the new battery
i do not have the heating problems, it is now, working from yesterday 3am and now, it is 4:45pm and i have 37% remaining. my usage is mostly web
so the conclusion is that it does not drain battery so drastic - it wirks in normal amounts of energy consuming. maybe all with problems should think about new battery - i did, i can not blame roms for this because it was happening with my wm5 also and the same is with wm6 so the problem is in my device
Well fact for me is that it gets hot!
I skipped the WM5 hype so for me its a looking at 2003 (1.42) and this wm6 rom.
From my point of view its does use more power than before.
Wifi uses even more than before.
Its subjective and I can live with it.
@Flyboy
Did you have a home plugin or the standard rom ?
If so can you do the same test with / without it.
That would not be subjective and would may be point a finger
I didnt have battery draining problem with HTC today plugin , but i started to notice after i installed the iphone.cab simulator that it's draining more than 20% faster than ever !! I believe maybe it's because the plugin needs to load more than 30 dll files with 251 priority and 11 threads and keep them running in the RAM . Another thing , be sure to end task the Active sync because when u unplugg the devices it keeps running on your PPC as background process ( dont ask me WHY ) .

Wakelock and poor battery

I am not getting very good battery performance so I started monitoring what was going on when I thought the tablet was sleeping. I am using GSam Pro to collect data. Out of 2 1/2 hours there was a keep awake for 2h 19m by system. Here are the details for that system wakelock:
Wakelock Detail: AuidioOut_2 2h 18m
Included Processes: *wakelock* mediaserver
Right now I am using Smoothrom with the latest franco kernel. This has not been an issue before. I don't know why it started doing this. Any ideas how I can stop the mediaserver process from doing this?

[Q] Call standby and WLAN eating battary

Hi, got my e7 2 days ago, updated to kk.
Everything working but call standby and WLAN eating battery, screen on for 3h 10min(consumed 10% of battery) and after 12h I have only
10% battery left. The phone wasn't awake while screen is on so it is probably not an app keeping the phone awake..
So .. wifi is always on(on battery stats, but I turned if off for 3h) and even so it shouldn't consume 28% of battery.
Standby consumed 29% of battery! But always got full signal and talked just for 10-15min.
I've done root with 360root and remove(suspend)some apps with 360root.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

How to set up amplify app ?

Can any senior member share their amplify settings here? It'd be of a great help for noobs like me ?

You can start with this.
Unfortunately i found Amplify to be of very limited effectiveness with this phone. There is a ton of system processes and alarms not mentioned or documented in the thread linked above, and the DayDream thing causes few but EXTREMELY long wakelocks (we are talking HOURS of time with below 100 triggers). Oh i tried doing it manually by observing the logged alarms and wakelocks and restricting them as seemed safe to do so, but what are you going to do about *ALARM*????
I would advise to grab a marshmallow rom and naptime instead, you don't have to change any settings and it saves your idle battery by itself. Finally, i recommend Xposed+Gravitybox and using the mobile network auto feature to decrease connectivity to 2G when the screen is off.
EDIT:
For the record, i tried plane mode through a night just so i could see the minimal possible drain, and it is some percent for 8 hours. You will not achieve 0.0% per hour with this phone.
i get 0.3% drain per hour with these settings. i left the phone around 4:30am at 91% and at 10:30am it was at 89%. i had switched off data.
everything at 240 except
*vibrator*=300
RILJ=350

You cannot achieve 0% battery drain with any phones anyways, according to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9777867#post9777867
Got 1 percent battery drain in about 9 hours on airplane mode and wifi off.
Without any extra modifications

That's the problem with these type of guides. They're all dated. So many wake locks & alarms aren't mentioned in the guide.

Same here. I followed the tutorial above and I did not notice any changes. Around 2% drain for 7-8 hours, idle with no data or wifi ( BetterBatteryStats show 0.3 per hour )
This one helped me https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/06-18-amplify-settings-xposed-kept-t3401338

overnight 30% battery drain in every rom/kernal

battery drain is far worse !!!
30% drains in 7-8 hrs
tried every rom/settings
temporary solution : if i turn on aeroplane mode before sleeping its draining 1%
ps : Already tried Greenify & Naptime buddy
any solution
Use viper os Oreo. No such battery drain.
In Superior OS overnight drain is 1-2% for me(aeroplane mode is off)
I still have your same problem, the only solution i found is turning off data connection and it drains like 15% overnight. Greenify didn't helped me and my deep sleep isn't working

I have also faced High battery drain issue but i fixed it by using Kernelauditor app
My current Rom is Nitrogen-OS released on November built 2018
In my case the CPU Scaling governor was in Performance mode. I changed it to interactive which fixed the issue now i am getting more than a day in a single charge.
i used CPU-Z to check my CPU scaling governor which showed performance mode.
then i used kernelauditor under CPU we can change to interactive.
Try Yuka kernel , Deep sleep works good on it
Why you dont turn off phone while sleep?
Try updating your MIUI firmware. May this helps you.
Its hardware problem!!
