Hi everyone,
I'd like to know if anyone encountered any Wi-Fi problem after updating to Lollipop ?
I own a N910H, I have a Toshiba stor. E Wireless adapter I use to connect to my hdd and access my files. When I was on kitkat firmware (N910HXXU1ANK5) it did work fine, also for my other phones or my laptop I can connect without any issue.
Since I updated to Lollipop it cannot connect to the adapter. The toshiba network shows up on the phone but when I type in the password it just won't connect. A tried a few firmwares: N910HXXU1BOC5, SweetRom with BOF1 and also flashed ank5 modem into SweetRom but still not working. I thought it could be modem not supporting the network, it is weird. And when I remove password encryption, it connects normally.
I wonder if it is a modem problem or like lollipop not supported by the device ? Or perhaps do Note 4 lollipop has Wi-Fi issues ?
Thank you everyone for helping.

did not have any problems when i updated from stock kitkat to stock lollipop. You could perhaps root and try some custom roms they have different kernel and modems, perhaps a fix for you.
Some times you have have to just 'forget password' and reconnect the wifi.

I did already, I did "forget password" / retype password so many times. Still cannot connect.
Tried a few roms and different modems. I'll try downloading another stock rom.

Hello. I have a problem that I'd like help with.
I have a problem with internet connection on my SG4. Specifically only Wi-Fi.
For once, Samsung Apps/Hub says "No network connection" when I open them up and it doesn't connect, but if I turn Wi-Fi off and use 3G, it works. Same with WhatsApp, which is acting very weird. In a group chat I try to download a video someone sent, and it says "Download failed. Try again later.", but if I turn off Wi-Fi and again, use 2/3G, it starts the download of that video without any problems.
The Wi-Fi itself is not a problem I think. Other than those 2 apps and all Samsung connections, everything else works on Wi-Fi. YouTube (though sometimes it also loses connection), Twitter works excellently, DropBox, SpeedTest, Tumblr.... everything else works just fine.
It's also sometimes disconnecting/connecting randomly from my Wi-Fi connection. And it used to be a perfect connection before I tried flashing latest ROMs.
My phone's info:
ROM: Goldeneye v30
AP: I9505XXUFND7
CP: I9505XXUFNC4
CSC: I9505VFGFND2
Bootloader: I9505XXUFNC4
Knox warranty void: 0x1

I tried few different modems, like XXUEMK8 and XXUFNC9, both without and with NON-HLOS but they had the same exact problem. And this problem was at the very beginning on a clean install.
Could the modem be the problem? If so, how many times can I try to flash the modem? Can I ruin the NAND memory by flashing too much?
No you can flash as much as you can
But if you have a backup of your previous system try to restore it

Guys can you please help me? I got a strange problem. After updating to Android 4.4.2 KitKat(Official Samsung update) my phone can no longer connect under WCDMA only. All i can get is 2G and I know the coverage of the mobile operator isn't the problem. I tried even some custom ROM's but still the same. When i switch to WCDMA only the phone can't connect at all. Things i tried so far:
- Different official Samsung ROM's
- Custom ROM's
- Hard Reset many times
- Clean cache
- Rooting the phone
- Flashing a different modem
And as far as I know now i can't go back to older android because of this stupid bootloader lock... Do you guys got any idea? What more can i try to make it work? Thank you.

May be noobish reply, but check Access Points before you do anything, try re-adding them in the Mobile Network settings. If not, flash modem again.

Have already checked APNs, deleted them and reset and re-entered, factory reset and tried diff roms, etc etc etc. I've been screwing with this all day.
I tried flashing modem but that was fail, I cannot seem to find the correct version after lengthy search.
I have i9505 (brazil mfg), using Straight Talk in US, and all modems seem to be int'l versions.
Trying to flash back to stock currently. Any ideas on the correct modem?

MMS PROXY: 66.209.11.33

Just wanted to follow up, this is solved. Attempted about a half dozen roms and most of them do not like the i9505 and some critical feature would fail. Finally after a few Odin flashes back to stock, I installed snapshot jflte cm11 m9 rom and it works perfectly with old apn settings as posted above.
I hope someone else with an internation s4 i9505 who ends up with whatever combination of no sound, no wifi, no mobile data, or no mms reads this and it saves them 12 hours of screwing with their phone. Some ROMs just don't play nice with our phones, don't resort to more advanced methods, just flash CM11 and call it a day.

Hi all,
I've had my phone locked on Tele2 (CRO) network which I needed to unlock to be able to use T-mobile SIM. I've used Odin 3.04 and followed the instructions to update modem to I9505XXUFNB9. I've managed to unlock the network this way and use my new SIM but the connection (both phone and mobile data) kept switching on and off constantly.
After that I've tried another firmware, namely I9505XXUFNDG for T-mobile but the problem now is that mobile is almost always off with no possiblity to connect and WiFi is blocked completely (security notification "Your device's security has blocked an action").
Basebands registered properly after every flash.
Phone is not rooted and me not being a power user would just love it to work as it was intended to
Followed the guide, all firmwares downloaded from here
Appreciate any help.
Might be onto something. After reading through this post seems I need to apply WiFi fix but I cannot tell which one to use for my phone (I9505XXUFNDG) as it's not posted. Kernel version 3.4.0-481100.
I've tried I9505_WiFi_FIX_MDM.tar and I9505_WiFi_FIX_MDF.tar but they just messed up the phone completely.
Thx a lot.

Hi ,
you should flash the fix for the modem you have installed , try following:
Flash another modem from the list there
Now flash the modem wifi fix for that modem
If still in trouble re flash stock and start all over again.....

Thx, did just that and now it works properly.
Much obliged.
a problem started to show recently; when i select LTE/WCDMA/GSM for auto connect network mode when the mode switches due to signal availability it doesn't get reconnected. i.e. while under LTE it works fine but if i move and get out of reach it should automatically switch to slower network which it doesn't. this works fine if i select WCDMA/GSM then the switches are fine but LTE is not available under this.
one more thing i noticed since i'+ve flashed the phone is that the upper part of the phone gets very very hot (a lot more than before). since the flash i've also had to replace a microSD card which died within weeks (not necessarily connected but worth noting).
any suggestions welcome.

Since you have working twrp you can backup your data before flashing and save in another place, and try super clean install factory image.
I meant, before go to download mode and flashing with Odin.. with twrp try format system + wipe dalvik (and format data partition if neccessary) + read log recovery cache if something wrong with your backup.
after clean install wifi still not turn on, try turn on tethering hotspot give a name to your tethering hotspot and give Password. I have same problem with wifi/tethering on Marshmallow before.
Hello!
My Oneplus 5 does not connect to any wifi networks. It is able to see all wifi networks in the range, and is also able to save the network if the password entered is correct, however, it won't actually connect to any network that is saved. I have tried using advanced options while connecting to a network to change from DHCP to Static settings, but it still won't connect to any network. I have also tried changing the wifi band frequencies (2.4 and 5 Ghz individually) to connect to a network but that too does not help. Mobile Data and carrier signal on the other hand work flawlessly, and so does bluetooth connectivity, NFC and personal hotspot (which is why I am very confused). I should also mention that when it fails to connect to a saved wifi network, it occassionally displays "Disabled" under the network SSID (replacing "Saved").
I have changed 3 different ROMs (LOS, stock OOS and No Limits ROM, even replaced the stock kernel with blu_spark r69 when I tried using No Limits and stock OOS to try and see if that fixed the problem), but the phone just won't connect to any detected/saved network using any of those ROMs. I have reverted it fully back to stock now (OOS 4.5.14 and stock kernel and stock recovery) and am still having the same problem.
Sorry if this issue has been solved before and if I am reposting something, but I really need this fixed ASAP and am not able to find a working solution after searching the forums and googling the whole day. Please help me! Thanks!
Edit: finally fixed the problem thanks to Ivints and PeterGuru. Check out the post that Ivints linked below (especially the comments in page 2 of the same)

Thank you so much Ivints! I'm trying to fix it right now with the solutions I got from the post.
I'm having exactly the same problem that the guy who started that post had. I'll let you know when I fix it and everything goes well again! Thanks again, bud!
if you want to stay on Nougat look for the O2N revert flash file it's in the Oxygen 5 beta threads that will let you get back to a nougat based rom.
The Oreo update touched other partitions outside of /system so those wifi drivers don't work with Nougat anymore

I see... I'll look for that thread and get the flash file! thanks! I'm currently using xXx's No Limits 9.2 OB03 ROM with bluspark 3.2.1 recovery and bluspark r77 (Oneplus 5). The only reason that I feel like reverting back to Nougat is that I want to be able to use Xposed again. So i guess I have that option in hand not too! Thanks, bud!
Hello there my friends, i have a problem with my op5
its about wifi: it doesn t see my wifi anymore. idk why
it s been connected to this wifi 2 years ,even after switching roms kernels, firmwares
and now , it doesnt see the wifi no more, actually it sees it, in `Saved` section, but when i press on it to connect
it says ` not in the area` but my other op6 its connected no problem
and i even tried through qr code, it says ` check ur connection and try again`
Just one add-on cause I was just a few minutes away from formatting my data. My OP5 unlocked rooted, rest stock, wasnt connecting to my home wifis (2,4ghz and 5ghz). I flashed a full ota zip. I deleted wifi bluetooth via backups settings.
But I found out that connecting to an iphone hotspot worked. So I entered manually the network SSID + password although the same network name was already in my wifi list (with marking: "saved"). I then clicked on the second "new" same wifi and it directly connected to my home wifi. Same happened to the 5ghz network. I then deleted the old 2 ones.
I have no idea why this happened, I only tried to get VoLTE/Wifi Call running with the magisk module. This might changed sth but I dont get the connection here since there should be no interference...
