Official firmware 4.3 freezing

After flashing the wrong rom to my note 2 i have since reflashed with orignal firmware but it constantly freezes and the home/oiwer button takes a several presses to respond.
Wiped cache etc etc but still the same
Any ideas folks

factory reset ( full data wipe ) :good:

Done it numerous times mate but still no luck

Return to 4.1.2.
No other options

Not sure about official roms
But i was on custom 4.3 with mj5 bootloader
and now i am on 4.1.2 with mj5 bootloader

Im on official software mate

What was your wrong rom and what is your bootloader version now? Maybe the old bootloader of wrong rom is the reason.

Installed omega rom for the s2 initially and it all went wrong from there, i flashed the original firmware for the n7100 afterwards which has put the mk4 (mj9 baseband) on it now but its still unresponsive to home and power buttons and requires a battery pull each time mate

Just to add the phone works fine in recovery and buttons respond normally

I have the same problem
I have a similar problem on my note 2. Screen becomes sometimes iresponsive. For example 20 second it works , 1 second no and again. I was running a stock 4.3 MK4 software and now i installed cyanogenmod and i have the same problems. Is there a way to fix this ???

I never found a solution/fix and the problem still persists mate
(I got that fed up with it lagging i went and bought a note 3)

Check eMMC chip maybe you have insane chip?

s4 i9505 4.4.2 big problem (plz help)!

hello everybody,i have a big problem (i haven't drooped my phone,screen is completely fine),it started about 2 days ago.
i have been running omega ROM 4.4.2 and never had any problem.
My problem:
1. brightness not working (manual or auto).
2. rotation not working.
3. phone going to sleep after 5-10 sec when i click power button)
4 when i click power button to wake up the phone its working but my screen is black.
but after 5-10 sec it come up.(biggest problem)
What have i tried(nothing worked)

2. installing a official 4.4.2 firmware.

When u wanna flash any custom ROM pls wipe all before for avoid problems. Anyway OMEGA ROM have new release posted today: HERE

i had the problem on omega v25(4.4.2),then i tried to wipe everything,nothing worked so i tried 4.3 but that didn't work as well.:crying:

Best you can do is flash android 4.4.2 stock ROM and we will solve the problems u have there. You can flash other custom rom later if ya wish
*EDIT: I recomend u:
1. Wipe all
2. Install android 4.4.2 Stock ROM
3. Dial *#1234# and attach the screenshot here
4. Solve ur problems (our job)

tried to flash omega v28, same carp again,it only worked for 5 mins,
i flashed the stock ROM and here the screen shot

I think this stock rom will go ok for ya coz I see the pic attached ok. About Omega, I cant tell ya so much more coz it use different modem/baseband. You can ask in the correct thread :highfive:

Download CPU z and lux brightness from play store.
CPU z has an option which shows the values returned by your sensors.
Move your phone a bit and check if they change accordingly.
Try lux brightness to change ur brightness
From where you downloaded your stock ROM and how did you flashed it?
Which recovery are you using?

I got the stock rom from SamMobile http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=27432 and I flashed it via odin 3.04,i'm using twrp 2.7.

you live in Spain?
If you do live in Spain and use Vodafone then your firmware is OK, else not.
Try to format your data and cache from recovery, FORMAT not just wipe and then flash the stock firmware through Odin.
BTW what results did you got by using those two apps?

i live in Australia and we don't have a official 4.4.2 update yet we only have 4.3 ,but since i was using omega rom 4.4.2, i had to install a Bootloader for it to work and i can't go back to 4.3. i tried to flash the official 4.3 Australian update via odin but it always says fail.

Try the apps I mentioned and post the result.
This might be a problem related to hardware and results of those apps will confirm this.

i can conform that its not a hardware issue,i rooted the stock rom and i got all the problems again
so i had to do a factory reset and flash the stock rom again everything is working fine,but I'm just scared that any moment is gonna mess up again.

[Q] (( HELP PLZ )) Note 3 N9005 bricked

I had installed omega rom v16 on my n9005 and today i thought TO FLASH the stock rom which i downloaded from sammobile.com E6 latest firmware of hongkong as my note 3 is factory unlocked. but after flashing stock rom i dont know why but CAMERA HAS STOPPED WORKING IT SAYS CAMERA FAILED, secondly NO ANY APP IS OPENING SMOOTHLY WHENEVER I TRY TO OPEN AN APP THE SCREEN FREEZES FOR ALMOST 2 MINUTES AND RESTARTS TOO SOMETIMES..NO SOUND FROM ETERNAL SPEAKERS NEITHER CAN I MAKE ANY CALLS.

Hey,
I made a thread the other day about getting a good ROM because the others seem to die after 3 days. Does anyone have an idea of why this happens? I have tried 6 different ROMS in 4 days and they all the do the same thing; Apps won't open, phone constantly on boot logo, apps crash, phone freezes up, phone won't boot up.
The phone is around 4 weeks old with minimal wear.
I would appreciate all feedback.

UPDATE: I have had the stock ROM now and everything seems perfectly fine to me, all apps are opening, closing, no freezing, no crashes at all. What's my next step??

All depend what you want to do......first root and then choose your style of rom.....TW or AOSP. ..

That's my problem. When I did flash a custom ROM, they all froze, crashed, non responsive etc etc. So this has made me not want to flash a custom ROM, but I want to because of all the perks that come with flashing /:

You have maybe to update bootloader or modem or recovery before flashing. .
Give some details about your actual configuration and the rom you flash...

I had CWM 6.0.4.7 flashed and I tried Gooh S5+N4 ROM, S5 stock by Jamal, XNote, Omega and N9005 Dev Base (RC tea I think) and a couple others. When flashing, I did all the normal step, wiping cache, wiping data, dalvik when told and leaving the phone for 10 minutes after it boots.
Do you want any information about the actual phone?

You have N9005 international? ???you have flashed stock KK one time???your bootloader and modem version....
You have to factory reset during flash.......

Yes, I have the SM-N9005 LTE. I am now running Kitkat Official 4.4.2. Sorry, but I don't know how to see my bootloader/modem version.
I m running with stock recovery if that helps.

nevermind, if you flashed official KK then you have good bootloader
1 root with cf auto root
2 flash last recovery philz https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/hlte/
3 wipe data/factory reset, cache , dalvik
4 reboout in recovery and flash the rom you want

Just did all of the above to the point and I am now stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy Note 3" screen, I can boot into download/recovery mode, but it won't load up the installed ROM.

1. Reflash the stock ROM.
2. Root with CF Auto Root.
3. Flash this custom recovery: TWRP (better than CWM).
4. You can remove the bloatware (HERE) and enjoy the stock ROM.

Sorry but I don't like the custom Roms. It's coz they are constantly updating and fixing things, no coz they are bad. Every device don't answer in same way with same ROM either. It's only my opinion . Last choice is always yours.

i got this note 3 which was blacklisted .
had someone help me repair imei
but while doing that he installed the original (?) OS from korea SKT telecom.
now its rebooting and baseband shows unknown. i have sent him messages but no response.
i am hoping to get it running nougat first (lineage or any variety ) will then try and get imei repaired again.
Can anyone with LOTS of experience in this stuff message and help me ?

In about info phone model is : SM-N900S

The real model # can be found by putting the phone into download mode.

In that case SM-N900S

I recommend flashing the latest stock ROM for the sm-n900s with Odin.
The printed model # sm-n9005 is on the label under the battery?

and only one works on it ..which is the one on the phone right now and it keeps rebooting .. i would like any nougat installed on this now.

I did perform factory reset but its 4.4.2 not 5.0

I recommend flashing the latest ROM.

If everything works on a stock ROM, you try flashing TWRP using Odin. This will allow you to backup the existing ROM and flash a custom ROM.
