SM-G870a Samsung S5 Active - Softbricked HELP. - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Been doing alot of reading across the forum and alot of google'ing. Need some help. Was running a rooted version of lollipop and reflashed a stock version ( so i thought). Now im stuck in recovery mode. Formated system memory and cache. no luck. Odin always fails on the auth. Can't find any solutions that work for me!! Need help badly as this is my only phone. I've tried different versions of ODIN, different usb ports and different usb cables. Also tried reinstalling drivers.
I've read somewhere that you can't downgrade from the newest version of lollipop. Is there any way I can just get my phone to working again? I can access recovery mode or download mode, whichever is needed. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
I finally got it to flash stock kernels, but don't know where to go from here. After flashing kernels and formatting it still doesn't boot.

Bump. I also get error 7 when installing from sd card.
Installing from sd card:
error in sideload package.zip status 7
odin error:

I'm thinking it could be the partition table?.. If anyone could link me to a pit file or guide to create my own.

Are you sure you're phone is on mdl firmware? I'm guessing that's the problem.
I guess you flashed mdl on mf3 or later version. Or if your phone was already on mdl, you used the wrong Odin.

is it locked to carrier?
When it fails on NAND write that shouldn't brick your phone because nothing on the device has been written by Odin. Is your device still working or are you just wondering how to flash Lollipop?

But when i switch on the device i always use the same screen. I can't do anything. Recover mode doesn't work too.
Well, i would like to flasg lolipop but sure my priority is to save the phone first. Then i can think about rom version.
So, what do you think about it ?

S4 GT-I9506 is stuck on Firmware upgrade encountered an issue

this model seems difficult (gt-i9506)
i tried to root it via towelroot, then kingoroot, these failed but then now the reboot is stuck on "firmware upgrade encountered an issue"
ive tried Kies firmware recovery but the download fails after 80%,
ive tried the sammobile download the ROM this too fails, network drops out tried this 3 times
i want to try Kies emergency recovery but cant find any recovery code
im stuck i dont know what to do now been researching for 4 hours cant find solution :crying:
could anyone please help?? am going crazy over this spent 2 days researching and finding nothing
Download a complete stock rom and flash it with ODIN. You have to uninstall KIES beforehand (they are conflicting).
thanks for reply...
i took kies off and this is what Odin is giving me...

well the first ROM was 4.2 android (bottom of ROM list), so then tried 4.4 (top of ROM list) android it failed again but with different Odin errors...

can anyone see the fault here...?? no error came up on the device, only on Odin this time
Did you restart after KIES de-installation? Was USB driver successfully missing (so you had to install one manually for ODIN)? If not, you probably still have drivers/files running from KIES.
Otherwise, try a different computer to double check its not the system.
If you originally updated to Android 4.4.x or later on this device, you cannot install 4.3.x or lower as Knox within the bootloader will actively prevent Odin from functioning. As to Odin, make sure you're using the original cable, are not using a hub, have Kies disabled or uninstalled, and use a different USB port. Odin sometimes is picky about the ports it uses.
If you can get the ROM issue resolved, use CF-Autoroot to root, keeping in mind that you will trip the Knox flag in doing so. Towelroot and other one-click root methods don't work on your device.
FIXED IT!!!!!!! :laugh::silly::good::cyclops:
Moved all operations to a different PC running XP with no kies on it
The error still occurred "write fail"
So instead i tried Odin 3.09 instead of 3.07 but most of all i changed usb cables, found an original cable off my mates Nokia
then boom!!! she starting writing!!!
Thankyou so much you legends, you are now my best friends forever!!!
Strangely the new flash, all my old previous data & apps are still on there??? somehow the network is not locked either which i was fearing being a vodafone ROM
still want to root it though
Flashing a ROM through Odin doesn't wipe the data partition, which is why your apps are untouched.

Can't boot, can't enter recovery mode and can't flash stock ROM with Odin

Hi,
OK guys, I'm really stuck here so any help would be very much appreciated.
I have Galaxy S5 SM-G900F phone.
My current status is pretty much described in the title...
Trying to boot puts me in a boot loop with Warranty Bit: kernel or Warranty bit: recovery (depends if the last thing I flashed was root or recovery - both succeed with Odin)
Trying to enter recovery mode I get Warranty Bit: recovery.
When I try Odin to flash a stock ROM get this:

Tried it. didn't change a thing.
But it doesn't matter because i was wrong about the model (came in a 900F box but was actually a 9006V).
Once I tried flashing to correct ROM for my version everything was OK.
Thanks everyone...

Have bricked Galaxy S4 SM-S975L, how to make viable?

I have problems with my Galaxy SM-S975L, I have tried numerous times to update the version but have had issues from before I tried to update (Frozen screens, sluggish). When I try to update using Team Win recovery I fail and get the message in red: E: Unable to mount '/data' And that is it, I can't add new ROM updates nor can I access recovery to restore the original backup. I have tried to recover numerous times with the same results, obviously something else needs to be done.
Is there a draconian way to wipe the old data from the SM-S975L and then flash all the software the phone needs to once again accept a new ROM? I have tried all the wipe options in the Team Win software but that hasn't made a difference.
I'm not that versed in Android to know what to do at this point.
Suggestions?
