[Q] Nexus 7 (2012) black screen and more. - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Where to begin, well I'll start with the most pressing issue. While flashing the oldbootloader it was disconnected from the USB (USB cable needs to be held a certain way for it to conect to the tablet) and froze on the bootloader screen so I held both the power and volume down buttons to reset it. The problem is that now I'm stuck with a black screen however when I plug the tablet into my PC it makes the noise to notify my that there is a device plugged into it but it doesn't recognize the nexus. I was restoring the tablet because it switched of yesterday for no reason then began to bootloop when I turned it back on so I went into cwm recovery and got the "E:Can't mount" error. That is what led me to restore the tablet and how I got here, with a black screen nexus that connects to PC but isn't recognized an can not be booted into recovery mode. Can anyone help or is this hopeless?
Also the device was running 4.4.4 kitkay and was rooted before all of this.

[Q] Can't turn on Nexus 7 (2012)

Hi everybody, I have troubleshoot like this:
Nexus 7 won't turn on. It is being every time when I power off my device:
Device is recognized in APX mode
No problem with charger or usb cable( 2-3 cables and chargers were tried)
Device was with CM11 then Stock Android 4.4.2 then I flashed Ubuntu 13.04 desktop version, but in all of this cases it was.
When I use some third party program for rebooting or recovery, no problem occur.
Can't boot to bootloader and i had charger it like Google says
40+ seconds power on button pressed but no action.
And suddenly it turns on and over a time when it turns of story begins
What can I do with it???
PS: It is booting to Ubuntu with no problems when turning on and I have no NVFlash blobs, so I can't flash with it.
THANK ALL OF YOU !
If it only boots into APX mode, then something is really gone wrong. (corrupted bootloader, damaged emmc, etc.)
Without proper blobs you can't do much about it, try to send it to Google/Asus.

Is my Nexus 4 bricked or irreperably broken?

Hello people,
I have a German Nexus 4 and it gets stuck in bootloop whenever I turn the power on.
I've had issues with the phone since the last few months - i.e. random reboots, random program crashes.
But recently I tried to root it in order to install the Android L developer preview. It was during the booting process, when my Nexus crashed and it has been unable to boot ever since.
When I push all three buttons (power + 2 volume rocker buttons) simultaneously, I get the fastboot screen.
Choosing the following options has these effects:
Start --> phone tries to boot but gets stuck in bootloop forever and ever
Restart bootloader --> restarts the fastboot screen
Recovery mode --> phone shows the robot with an opened belly and a red warning sign (see photograph)*
Power Off --> turns the power off
Also, it is NOT detected or recognized by my Macbook when I connect the Nexus via USB cable. So it's impossible for me to access the phone via my Macbook.
*This is the screen shown when I try to go into Recovery mode in fastboot:
[can't upload outside link to image]
So this leaves me with no options as I never get further than the 4 turning circles forever and ever.
Is my Nexus 4 broken or is there still a chance to unbrick it? (I have a MacBook, so Windows programs won't work for me)
Of course it's not possible to recognize it when OS is not running.
Download WugFresh toolkit, ADB drivers (Universal) and the factory image. Enter fastboot, connect USB and flash the image
Your phone is not hardbricked, because it boots into the bootloader.
It might be recovered if you can access it with fastboot.
Try uninstalling all related drivers and install the Naked Universal Driver.
Thanks for your replies!
Unfortunately, the programs you mentionned don't work on my Mac (they seem to be Windows-only).
Also, how can I install stuff on my Nexus? Since it is not recognized by my MacBook, I can't load any files onto my Nexus.
And since any command on the fastboot screen only leads to the phone powered off, restart of the fastboot screen or the mentionned bootloop, I cannot perform any actions on the Nexus ...
Go to a friend with Windows.
Problem solved!
Somehow after the 1000th bootloop I finally reached the screen where I could wipe the phone.
And then it finally booted! Now all the data are lost and it's like a new phone, but at least it's working again!
How long was the boot loop? Was it the new boot animation from L?
Because when you flash L, the first boot up may take up to 15 minutes, leading you into thinking it's a boot loop.

Extreme brick on lg g2 D803

Hey everyone,
This morning i was doing a backup on my lg d803 straight from twrp and the screen turned off. I left it like that for about 10 minutes to make sure the backup would finish.
However, the screen still wont turn on. The phone rebooted once into the lg logo and turned off. It is now stuck like this. It won't boot back into anything
-The phone won't turn on.
-It can't boot into recovery or download modes.
-It it not recognized by my pc in any way (win 10 64 bit with LG drivers installed).
-Holding the power button does not turn it on, not even to the lg logo.
-the button combo for recovery mode does nothing either.

I bricked mine last week. Got it into dowload mode (don't remember, google it) used lg mobile support tool and did recover phone from options and worked like a charm. Didn't even lose any of my installed apps.
Maybe battery level is low
Download mode did not work for me with low battery
I charged for about 2 hours and still could not get into download mode. i tried holding the volume up button while pluging it into the pc and nothing happened on the pc or the phone. No connect sound or anything.
Charging and using combo's don't always work, you should ideally boot into download mode before attaching. Perhaps you should try and make a MacGyver cable with a spare/broken usb charger to charge the battery directly - in-case the port or something is broken.

i decided to upgrade and give it a try
it accepted the firmware without even hitting the rest button
i started the tablet from the power button then it started by showing the boot animation then bloop it turned off by itself

Samsung Vibrant Bricked During Restoration Project. HELP!

Hey everyone! This could be a shot into the dark since people have basically stopped posting on this portion of the website for years. I have a Samsung Vibrant that was bricked over a year ago. If I'm correct the way to get into recovery mode is Vol Down + Home + Power for the Samsung Vibrant. Here's the thing: Normally when the Samsung Vibrant boots, the bottom 4 buttons light-up and respond to when I touch them. Bur now that the device has been bricked due to some sort of error when installing a custom ROM, I can't access recovery mode. I have also tried to access download mode using various button combinations I've found online but to no avail. The phone simply just turns on and is stuck on the Samsung Vibrant screen. It never shuts off and boot loops. It simply just freezes on the Samsung Vibrant screen. When I plug it into a wall, the phone shows me a frozen loading icon which I assume is supposed to be the battery indicator when the phone is powered off. I've tried connecting it to my PC regardless of not being able to get into download mode but my pC does not detect it at all. Nothing in Device Manager either. I've also tried to install Samsung's official USB drivers for the device but my PC still does not detect it. I've tried connecting it to Odin. Nothing. I've tried ADB. Nothing. I am not one to solder or make a USB jig so my options are running out. I understand that it's 2020 and it's likely no-one will see this but if anyone does, please help!
