I am using lg g2 ls980(unlocked for sim) . I could make calls,text etc but unable to connect to data (internet) and get error “unable to establish wireless data network”
It happened after
>> I write nv and rf using dfs (but now I have restored with the original backup)
before that it was working fine
my apn settings are correct
internet perfectly working with wifi
i don't know what other thing i could try and what is the cause of the problem?
i would be very thankful i someone solve this problem....... smartphone with no data really frustrated.

guys i downloaded and successfully upgraded the Acer DX900 Rom i found here,
the problem is every thing is going well and theres no problem with the rom
upgrade... the version i upgraded my phone is
oldSAP ACER DX900 553 Clean ROM temp.bin
the problem is.. i cannot surf internet in any way.. i can connect to my wifi router
and it accepts the password and it even connects successfully... but while i try
to surf internet explorer.. opera or youtubeplay it says cannot find modem..
or check your internet connection!
my modem configuration that i do from connection > advance > my isp etc.. all the
configuration is correct and according to my ISP..
only i cant surf net.. it wont allow me to surf the internet saying that internet connection
not found..
please help me guys! thank you for any kind of help!

Try turning "Data Connection " ON in Communication manager.

2 other possibilities: try a hard reset and try reflashing and if unsuccesful you should post in the relevant thread f i where you found this rom

In this week i had a problem:
When i try to make a 3G data connection, i see a error message:
"Dialed:
Cannot connect for an unknow reason. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap Settings. If the problem continues, reset your mobile device according yo your manufacturer's documentation and try again."
I'm using the last energy rom! The problem persist with Stock rom.
When i use my SIM on other phone, 3G works fine!
Help please, i can't connetc to the internet via my mobileprovider.Can anybody explain how to activate internet step by step?if possible give me a screenshot..thanks in advance
hey if use xxkb3 u have set apn(access point) manually search ur service provider apn setting in google and config it ......
No...my firmware is xxkb1...what to do?
I think therr is nothing to do with firmwars just configure ur access point
Verify with your operator if your settings are correct (i.e. if you have settings) and your gprs/3G is activated

I am using samsung galaxy 3, [purchased in November 2010] it came up with android version 2.1. while i am using same version i used to enable/disable the data connection by dialing *#*#4636#*#* and phone information ->more ->disable/enable data connection filed . it working fine there.
Recently i upgraded my phone to android 2.2 after that using same method i disable the data connection, but after that if i want to enable data connection[using same method mentioned above] it is not enabling and it is not showing any error also.
please help me out how to overcome this problem.

Just reboot phone after you enable data connection...it'll work for sure...we all had this bug when we were on froyo

Do you have the right apn settings setup? (thats in Settings/Wireless and network/Mobile networks/Acces Point Names) with my provider I needed to do it manually to acces mobile data. (actually I had to text a certain number wich would give me the proper settings). Maybe you can check that?
Actually when ever we click on "enable data connection" [irrespective of VPN settings] it should enable, after that only it will check for VPN settings for which SMSC have to connect. But here "enable data connection" it self not reflecting change of type to "Enable" .
i recently realize that my wifi hotspot in my phone doesn't work at all the other devises can connect to my wifi hotspot and can send to them file and everything but can't receive any thing from other devises, i already check the hotspot settings and everything it's ok i don't know why can't receive files ,,,,,,, please anyone know why i should do to fix it just tell me pls
