Hi, my phone and everything else worked fine on my home wifi a couple of weeks ago, I got back home from a 10 day trip to Sydney yesterday, tried to watch a movie on Netflix on my chromecast to find that my phone was incredibly slow and the movie would never finish loading, tried my friends phone, same problem, eventually I worked out that her phone and my chromecast and everything else work fine as long as my phone is not connected, as soon as I connect my note 4 to the wifi, the whole lot slows to a crawl, I applied this fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...fi-channel-experimental-t3133527/post61307287 and the problem seems to have gone away, can you explain what's going on here? And is there a permanent fix? It's strange because I got 5.1 on my phone weeks ago and never had a problem. Any ideas?

Hi, I really hope somebody might be able to help me here.
I got my HTC DHD on Tuesday and it was working fine till today. For the last 4 hours it shows 'no service' (i.e. no network coverage/no phone). Everything else is working fine. I've tried switching my SIM card to my old HTC HD and it worked fine, I could make/receive calls. I also tried airplane mode on/off, restart, taking out the battery, plugging to pc, plugging into power socket, even hard reset - the problem still exists, like the phone module is off for some reason. WiFi works fine btw. All settings look fine. The phone doesn't have a scratch on it, brand new, never been dropped. I'm really upset by this issue - the phone is just 3.5 days old and such an issue appeared. Doesn't look promising (
Any suggestions apart from the obvious 'return to the shop and wait for ages to get it repaired'?
Just to add, this had been happening to me as well for the last 3 or 4 days. My DHD is only 11 days old and was working fine untill tuesday when it started to say no service. It seems to display no service randomly and then just kicks back in and works no problems for a few hours. My text messages have also started to be delayed and i'm often getting them 2 hours later than the time on the actual message.
Have you tried to set your phones on GSM only and see if that helps? Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Network mode

Most of the time i miss it actually drop the connection so for all i know it could be hours but i have caught it drop for 10 mins or so a few times though.
I have a problem with the wifi speed on my n4. For me it seems strange that no one seems to have the same problem as I do. I have even got a replacement phone because I thought it was wrong on my first n4 but the problem persist on my new phone as well. I hope someone can help me or maybe guide me in some way.
Probelm
Wifi speed on my n4 is really strange. When I first connect to my home network(router asus rt-n56) the speed is usually good (not always) and I get about 40mbit/s down. After some time, which vary from minutes to hours, the speed drops and caps at 8mibt/s which is slower than my mobile data speed. Sometimes toggling wifi on/off get the speed back again but only for a short time then it sets back again. About 95% of the time I am connected to the network the speed is slow. This is very annoying when downloading apps, files, syncing spotify lists and so on, to download a big file takes longer time on wifi than on 3G. Non of my other devices(galaxy s1, nexus 7 which also runs stock 4.2.2, ps3, 2 laptops) have the same issue.
What I tried
I tried a lot of different settings on the router including different firmwares, nothing helps.
I tried different networks and I only found one that worked as it should and that was at the university, on all other the problem appeard.
As I said, I have got a new nexus 4 to replace the first one but the problem persists.
I have tried changing all wifi-settings on the phone but nothing helps.
I got my first n4 for christmas and I discovered this problem almost right away. Since then I have tried to find a solution without success. It seems that the n4 has got many different wifi-issues (just google "wifi issue nexus 4") so maybe it has something to do with the software and the wifi drivers but I dont know.
Does anyone recognize this wifi-speed issue?
Thanks
About 3-4 days ago, my connections to wifi went in the toilet. Meaning; every wifi spot I connect to (home, parents, store, restaurant) gives me around or less than dial up speeds. Even though I was having this on every wifi connection I use, I still troubleshooted my on router setup, to no avail.
After searching pretty intensively, I came across one other person with this exact same issue. He found that his issue fixed with the latest Android Webview update; however, mine did not. So, just to test it, I disabled Webview entirely, and magically, my wifi was fast again. But, about 45 mins later, it got slow again.
I am sure a factory reset would fix it, I just got done getting everything back on it from a reset 2 weeks ago after my Lollipop update. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this issue, without a factory reset?
Bump.
I tried a factory reset, and it didn't fix this issue. I'm assuming I just need to get a replacement.
I had to fight with Verizon (as I have the VS980) for over an hour, but I finally have a replacement coming. Seeing as no one seems to either have any clue on this issue, or are willing to help, I figured it was all I could do.
Hello guys, i see there are similar thread, but my problem isnt exactly like others i saw so i am making new thread.
About week ago, my LG G2 (2 and half years old), was in mini bootloop (for about 5 mins, it couldnt pass LG screen) but then it started working normally. Few days later, phone restarted it self and WIFI died. Bluetooth works fine, gps aswell, data works fine. Everything but WIFI and hotspot.
Wifi works for 2-3 minutes after starting phone, but than it dies. Somethimes it wont turn on, while othertimes it says looking for wifi (and never finds one).
I thought it might be software problem, so i did everything i could to make sure its not. So it could be only hardware.
Now my question is, does it has to be logic board or prehaps its some anntena or something that could be changed separatly?
Thanks
I have the same problem on mine but I have unlimited 4g mobile data so i don't use it at all.
I find this video and a lot of people say it's work.

So i've bought my one plus 6t about 2 months ago and i've had this problem with the internet connection from the beginning. Basically after a period of using it (like 1 hour/1 hour and a half) the connection would stop working, completely... Wifi, data everything would stop working until i rebooted the phone and it got back to normal. After the upgrade to android 10.3.0 the problem seemed to be gone but i discovered later that it just "changed". Now sometimes the connection goes really bad (like doesn't even load a song from spotify) for like 1-5 minutes and than returns normal again; this loop can go on for a lot and it is really annoying.
I don't know what casued this problem in the beginning and why it's happening now. I think there might be a stock problem with the network card but i don't know for sure and i don't know how to check. I already reset the phone once (the partial one that keeps all the photos and data in the phone) after the 10.3.0 upgrade but the problem remains.
If someone knows how to fix this/why this is happening please help me, i really don't know what to do at this point.
I would do backup and factory reset if not you can send to oneplus centre but they will do that before any repairs anyway.
I have had a similar problem on 10.3.1 and at least 1 if not 2 updates prior to the this one.
What happens go for me though, is when at home, (haven't had it happen anywhere else), connected to wifi or not, the phone randomly loses all connection to my sim. It comes back almost instantly but still quite annoying and until this post I haven't heard of it happening to anyone else, not that I have come across, at least.
And I know it's not because of where I'm at in the house or anything cause I've had the phone a year now and the problem just started within the last month or so.
Insight on this would be awesome.
I have also noticed weird connectivity drops to no service and back. that only happens rarely and will restore i seconds. havent annoyed me that much that i needed to do something about it. I travel lots with train, and when this happens on train it seems to have more difficult to connect back. it does eventually but might be enough to drop streaming music from playing.
There is definitely something going on with Oneplus and APNs. (OP7 sms and mms issues etc)
I Recommend doing a full backup with Oneplus Switch and restoring factory defaults. Then you can restore backup. Most likely fixes issue that bad to same condition as ours. if it doesnt, take it to warranty.
