hello,
I just upgraded from Alliance build 2 to jasmine rom 5.1.1 and using the process the recovery is back to stock.
I really liked the safestrap/twrp I had on kitkat. Wondering where I can find twrp or safestrap for Lollipop.
Looked around and couldnt find much except for the MultiSystems that they recommend with jasmine rom.
Anyone have any suggestions or a link?
Thanks
I'm looking for the same answer
Anyone?

Doesnt exist for 5.0 and above. You will have to work with MultiSystem. Personally I liked SafeStrap better, but the support moved on to other things.

There is TWRP for lollipop, but the install fails on Note 3 at least with Jasmine rom. At least we're lucky that hsbadr got us a rooted rom!

Hello guys I have a NB1 bootloader S4 Running AT&T firmware. The model number is SGH-i337 I am rooted and i have safestrap installed. I still have the stock recovery built into the phone which i can still get into with any method. My question is that I want to install pac rom that runs android 4.4.2 kitkat firmware. Is it possible? I really want this rom bad and anyone who helps me would be greatly appreciated. Right now I am running carHD rom. My phone still works like brand new. I am a big fan of the pac rom and i just got the s4 2 months ago, am i too late to install it?
Peace, Jon
We cannot install any firmware that isn't compatible with our kernel. That means only touchwiz based ones will work.

Only when the bootloader gets unlocked, and it won't be anytime soon.
After updating to KK and installing safestrap i have the option to create roms so I am just wondering if anyone is working on roms for the KK update because I wouldn't mind testing some of them. :victory:
Thank You
How did you install safestrap after kitkat update? I have Verizon note 3

well i usually download my apks on my pc then put it to my sdcard......but before that i also installed busybox, then i installed safestrap and i believe i had to do i twice because the first time i didn't get the safestrap boot menu. then everything is almost the same like the older safestrap except now i can have 16gb of memory reserved for one rom :victory:
You have to have root first correct? I have not found a method for root yet. Any ideas or pointers? Every android device I have, except this one, it's rooted

Ya then you might be screwed, unless someone finds a way around it so you and many other people can root their phones.......if i were you i would try to mess around with the rooting options that i linked previously or check this out:
http://www.ibtimes.com/android-442-...-3-lte-sm-n9005-new-xxuenb7-firmware-tutorial
Also try doing some research on how to root a note 3 4.4.2
Hope that helps
Thanks

There are a few KK Roms that developers are posting in the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Android Development Forum. I'm currently on Bajasur's BajaRom Build 14 and it's running very smooth.
Basically I'm wondering if I even need to update my stock ROM or can I just put new 4.4 ROMs in the Safestrap slots and everything should be fine?

If you're on MJE you can't run the NC4 roms. But don't take the OTA to do it. Plus your version of safestrap will need to be updated as well.

It's looking like I'm going to flash the NC4 deodexed stock rooted from Beans...
That will then allow to me rom it up in 4.4 land I believe.

You should be fine after that. Be advised that rom slots work but it's advised on most roms to only use the stock rom slot. I thought Hashcode would get those fixed soon but he's getting a new gig and won't be supporting safestrap anymore. Can't be anything but happy for him and be ever so thankful for what he's given us..:good:

Flash the 5.0.1 factory image with fastboot. Then flash the twrp image with fastboot. Then flash supersu in twrp. You'll have 5.0.1 with root.

If you're on the stock 5.0 you're out of luck. If you're on 4.4.x there are instructions elsewhere to get a rooted 5.0. Time for you to do some searching and reading.
