Hi XDA - I have an older (2017) Joying Headunit and over the years have searched a TON about the terrible quality when making a bluetooth call. Some of the threads are older, some reference specific models, etc. I've tried every setting I can find, I've tried unplugging the external mic to see if using the internal works better. No change at all no matter what I do.
I was hoping someone would be able to give me the latest and greatest solution, if there is one, for my headunit. I'm generally a very handy guy but I am definitely not an Android pro....I'm smarter than the average bear, but not like most of you on here.
I have a Joying JY-JM001N2 - 2GB ram 32GB flash, Android 6.0
Android Version: 6.0.1
MCU: 2017-10-25 18:18
BT Version: 6.0.1-23
Is there anything from a hardware or software perspective that I could do? I saw some threads mentioning cutting a tracer on the board and/or soldering in an external mic to the internal mic circuit.
Thanks in advance, I appreciate your help and input!
