Hi guys,
First thing is first, I am an idiot. Now back to the problem. I was having some issues with my rooted Nexus 4 so I decided to factory reset it instead of using the Nexus Root Toolkit . And it got stuck in a bootloop, when I tried using the toolkit afterwards to get it out - I couldnt because of something to do with USB debugging. I dont know what other information you need to solve this so please ask.

As you can boot in to recovery, why don't you try to flash a custom ROM?
If you don;t want that, flash the factory images (that's the simplest way and I had used it once )

My Nexus is stuck in a boot loop.
Trying to load into the ROM will leave me stuck at the Google logo but the unlocked pad(bootloader unlocked). Trying to get into recovery mode will do the same thing. I can temp boot into TWRP using wugs toolkit
I have some very important videos on my Nexus 7 that I would like to recover before flashing the stock ROM
Can anyone tell me the steps to recover when in my position?
Thanks

Chainfires open gl drivers won't work on most 4.1+ devices. Also looking over the app description on the play store, the supported devices are all nvidia or exynos based devices. Our phones use a Qualcomm chipset. And the force 4x msaa function is built into the nexus 4. It's under developer options.

Ok i was updating my rooted nexus 7 (2012) of the air to 4.4 kitkat. It downloaded and installed but when it was time for it to boot it just got stuck at the 4.4 booting screen (the circles) so i looked on the forums and it said to format everything (cache, system, sd) via clockworkmod so i did. When i tried to reboot it just got stuck at the Google loading screen.

TWRP and I forgot that I shouldn't let it "fix" broken root.
I just used the basic guide on how to flash a factory image of 4.3 in smaller pieces with fastboot, skipping userdata (so I could keep mine), and then sideloaded the two KRT OTA followed by flashing SuperSU 1.75. I did all that in one go, on my second Nexus 7, before booting it the first time.

1st Make sure you are on the latest twrp. 2nd it would be easier just to flash a stock ROM in recovery instead of flashing the factory images.. Is there a particular need for using the factory images or do u just want a working ROM?

There must be a misunderstanding, so I better ask: Are you stuck on the bootlogo or in bootloader mode? You can turn on/off your device right?

yes sorry i meant on bootlogo. i can still go into recovery i think but whenever i reboot it never fully boots
Never mind.
Do you know Wug's Nexus Toolkit? Use this to flash a factory image. It is the easiest way if you arent familiar with adb and stuff.
Much better to learn how to flash a factory image with fastboot. You can probably save your data by flashing a cm compatible kernel in fastboot

You'r welcome, mate. I'm sorry for your pics. Also happens to me once. That's evil, but a man must experience this once a life
I recently fixed an infamous bootloop i had by letting the battery die 100% (yeah I know it is bad), and then it booted. Well i went to flash a new rom and it never rebooted. I then went to flash stock from google. Still a bootloop. tried like 3 roms, still a loop. I then tried the killing my battery thing. Still a loop. Please, i know the phone isn't hard bricked, is there anything else i can do to boot it other than just flashing stock and factory resetting. Thanks.
Another thing, when i try to flash 4.2.2 the phone doesn't go to the boot logo.
Anybody? I need to fix this phone soon.

Yep, if it didn't your emmc flash memory would be bad. I'd try re-downloading the factory image and trying again. Are you using the flash-all.bat to flash? You might try flashing all the components separately and see if any of them fail.

None of the flashes failed. I have tried redownloading and i have also checked the md5's, so i dont think that would be it. I have also tried reformatting through twrp, and then flashing stock. Still nothing.
flashing 4.4.4 separately got me on the starting apps step, but that seems to be the place where it gets stuck.
I need to decide if i wanna take another month trying to fix the nexus 4 or just get the nexus 5. Nothing is working and i think i should just leave it now. But at the same time, i just wanna fix it so i don't have to spend money on a new phone. I have run out of things to try and revive the phone so i don't know what to do anymore.

there's must be a way cause you can boot on 4.4.4 but unfortunately i'm not that good in these kind of problems
but i hope you can find the cure soon
You can obviously get into flashboot, have you tried booting the latest twrp, wiping /system /data /cache and sideloading something different, like Paranoid Android?
Bootloop fix
First thing is that you have use Wug's Tool and flash the 4.3 stock image. In the Wug's tool select the option 'SOFT BRICK or BOOTLOOP' option and then flash the stock image in the fastboot mode. Definitely, I hope the phone will launch without any problem. The same problem I had faced with my nexus 4 and I flash the 4.3 stock image with the help of Wug's tool. Try it I hope it will fix the problem.
