Got my galaxy note today, so going to be selling my streak and moving forward. Was an amazing device, but now having had my note for a couple of hours this things screen is unreal! What a device it is!

Got it from a company called simply electronics, think they are based in China. It was £480 minus quidco cashback which was about £10, I'm on vodafone in the uk :-D its truly an amazing device, I don't have a single complaint about it, I'm so happy!

Its the same exact size as the streak isn't it?

Larger screen but less bezel. From what I've seen they are practically the same size (Although the note is alot thinner)

Yeah that's why I was asking. I figured that. Just read an article from (Pocketnow.com) and they got a hint it might come to at&t.

got my note on the 23rd
UPS delivered it Friday, but I waited until after work to mess with it, although I did just pop the battery in, so I could make sure it powered up.
After spending a few hours installing apps, rooting, changing a few settings, I popped in the SIM, set the APN up and WOW! I loved the streak, even with the quirks it had, but this thing sets the world on fire! That screen is just something to be seen...and it is greased lightning fast!
I've enjoyed the last 14 months with the streak, being my FIRST Android device, learned a lot on here...thanks! Merry Christmas!

ive had my streak 15 months now just 3 months to go (march) until i can get a new phone (wifes o2 contract) im going small again i just dont need a big phone any more now ive got a 10" tablet (hannspad) it serves all my needs (ebooks & movies)
i seen a note in a shop & it does look like an awesome devise though
my wifes on a £35 a month contract & i think o2 still wont up to £200 for the note
my streak was only £50 when i got it & it was top of the line on o2 at the time i dont know why the notes so expensive?

Yeah I'm good at changing my mind, but now I know I deffo want one 100% and the second I have the chance I am purchasing.
I was going to purchase from a Local Store, but they only have the 16 GB version and I'm a cheapskate and wanted the 8GB

Well being cheap will prob cost u in the long run, out of the box the 8gb model will only have about 5.5gb of available storage. Down the road you'll be wishing u got the 16

I'm c cheap too, but in the end I got a 16 gb, 8gb is too small for me, since I have quite some large games.

Already decided I'm never purchasing HTC again as they are just ridiculous, I cannot understand how HTC can sell a phone, for the same price you can get a car, and send it out to their customers with so many issues. Then when you send it for fix, they **** it up even more.

Thats interesting, you and I have had wildly different experiences with HTC, haha. But dont let a random hardware manufacturer turn you away from the android software. They are two very different things.

I can happily say I'll be back in the HTC One family as soon as mine ships! I managed to nab a $300 Developer edition HTC One, really excited about getting it
I'm currently back on a Nexus 5 to try Lollipop, but I'm selling it as soon as the One hits my doorstep.
Did anyone else take advantage of this sale? It wasn't as alluring as grabbing the new Nexus 9 at $199 (which, for the record, d move to do on 24 hours after releasing it), but it was still a great deal for anyone looking for a flagship phone at (probably) less than half price.

I already got a T-Mobile M8. And I was able to nab a glacier silver unlocked edition. For 299 lol. No nexus 6 for me

I got one for the sole purpose of making a profit by selling it, considering that I already have an m8 that I bought at $800 when it first came out!

Got one - I assume, the page crashed when I submitted my order, but got the order email and they charged my card, I to have the nexus 5, not sure which one I'll keep, pass the other down to my son.

Yeah I'm actually on the exact same boat right now with the nexus 5. Overall the HTC is a better phone (hardware wise - especially audio-wise, for both recording and output). There's obviously more profit to be had by just selling the One in-box though.
I've had the One before, it's an awesome phone. It just got a little too banged up without a case/skin so I traded it in. Letters came off and all that - I just never said anything in the forum. Definitely not making that mistake again though; I'm putting a thin case or skin on it.
I think I've come to the realization that even better than having the "best" or newest phone (I.e. nexus 6 or 6 plus or Note 4), is having gotten one of the best deals. So, good-enough value trumps newness. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see.

The battery I bought off ebay for 16 USD turned out alright so far. Manufactured in Oct. 2017. The person had sold 3,000 of them and had good reviews. The Same battery is now going for $115 3 days later lol.

Hey guys, i have the random reboot problem but only sometimes. Accubattery is showing 99% battery health but it still shuts down some days specially whenever i'm outside. I'm in Canada and well everything freezes here so i don't blame the device lol
There are not oem batteries in the market (not that i could find anyways). Could someone recommend a good battery that i can order online?? Also accubattery shows good health but it still shuts down so i'm debating as to what to do next.
