Hi, someone can help me to restore twpr? After partition i can't go in recovery mode... after some week of the start of this problem I bought a new phone (droid maxx ) but now i want restore my old defy+....what i have to do? What is a easy way for restore twpr recovery?
Ps: i have a mac and i can't use program for install twpr on defy from pc
Maybe a fresh start is the best solution. Else, if the phone loads Android, try to install 2ndInit and then TWRP.

Monzer, when you install bootmenu are you installing the .apk and then opening the app and then clicking to install 2nd init? This is the right procedure! after you do this reboot your phone and watch for blue led to flash during boot, hit volume down once it flashes blue.
What 2nd init version are you installing? here is the latest http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=792601&d=1322064151
Are you trying to flash CM7?
There is a very old version of CWM that should be suitable if all else fails you. It should work just fine to flash CM7 but not so sure about CM9. However if you want to flash CM9 You could use this old version of CWM to flash CM7 which will in turn install a new version of 2nd init which is definitely suitable for flashing CM9. This old CWM "might" work for flashing CM9 but I dunno if I would try or not! Download in my attachment below!
You MUST enable USB debugging to install.
copy the apk to your sdcard and use a file manager to install it then open the app in your app drawer and choose to install the custom recovery (with USB dubugging ON)
THIS STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!
AFTER INSTALLING THE CUSTOM RECOVERY DISABLE USB DEBUGGING.
You enter CWM by again opening the app and choosing reboot to recovery (with USB debuggind OFF)

Hi guys!
I have CWM recovery on my LG L7, and I would like to remove it, and put back original stock recovery. I want stock recovery cuz when i try to do backup with LG PC Suit, and phone try to go in some backup mode, i boots-up in CWM recovery, and the LG PC Suit says that backup failed.
If someone knows the solution for my problem, that would be great. I would like to put back the stock recovery, or to do backup over PC Suit with CWM installed,
Sorry for my English, and thanks for help!

Why do you want to make backup with pc suite? Make it with cwm. Believe me it's better, and easier way to make a backup.
well, it not just backing up what i need, i also need functional restoring, and i have the same problem with that too. i reinstalled my windows but i saved my old PC Suit backup files fom My Documents, now I would like to put back on my phone that old backup, but i dont know how. can i use my backup files form PC Suit, to restore with CWM ?
I somehow managed to get what i want. I've put phone into update mode, flashed original ROM, and then tried to do backup, and everything worked good. I tried this before, few times, but it didn't make any changes on how the phone reacts when i try to do PC Suit backup. I don't know why did it worked now, but it worked, and that's important to me. Thanks for help!
Hi,
I was using quarx' cm10.1 on my defy plus and it worked quite okay, until I somehow managed to mess up my installation by trying to install moves2sd. Now it won't boot anymore, I'm stuck with the Motorola logo. I can acess the the bootmenu though, but can't acess the costum recovery.
I really don't know how to proceed now. I think the file structure is somehow broken and that it may be enough to reinstall the cm10.1 zip file, but I don't know how to do that without the costum recovery. Is this possible in any way?

Not possible. Start from sbf, root, 2ndinit.
Hi,
Couple weeks ago I tried Ubuntu for phones. The install failed (yeah I know, Ubuntu...), wiped my phone, and installed a crappy recovery instead of my beloved touch recovery.
Now I'd like to reinstall the touch recovery instead of the crappy canonical's one, but I don't want to lose everything on my phone.
How can I backup my rom and settings on my computer, install the good recovery, then restore all my datas ?
Thanks for help !

Never tried Ubuntu, but I hope the standard recovery update script works the same on yours.

You don't need to wipe anything to install a new recovery.

Hi guys,
I have a Milestone 2 running unofficial JB 4.3 (chinese version), and I tried to flash the file CWM 6 Recovery (.zip) via recovery. The recovery original of this rom is Android system recovery <3e>. Now when I start the device stuck in a bootloop. I don´t know what to do, and my desktop don´t recognize my device, despite all new motorola drivers installed, is impossible to make any update via RSD Lite.
I need help, any suggestion?
when you say that your desktop doesn't recognize the phone, did you put it in flash mode then?
you have to press the up button on the keyboard and the power button together to enter that mode. the phone should show you the bootloader version and some other stuff.
now you can connect it to your desktop computer and it should show as motorola flash interface in the device manager. then you can flash with rsdlite.
that said I had to do the whole procedure recently aswell. on my primary workstation rsdlite didn't recognize my ms2 at all (despite having proper drivers installed and despite it showing correctly in the device manager). so I tried it with a windows xp vm on my macbook pro and there it did work.

No, I don´t do that, I put in the recovery mode only. I didn´t know how to enter in bootloader, now I know that, thnks! :good:
Is wrong and risky flash the cwm6 via recovery, the right is always flash via RSD Lite right?
Supposing, through this procedure that you recommend me and the RSD Lite recognizing my device...
What file I flash to solve the problem?
you can download a sbf for your phone (depending on your region) from here: sbf.droid-developers.org/umts_milestone2/list.php
after you flashed the sbf you have to boot into recovery and wipe data.
you will be back to a factory reset stock rom after that!
it might be possible to rescue your current rom/data but with that I can't help you. I don't know how to get cwm6 either.
the way I went was: gingerbread stock via rsdlite -> CM10 from tezet via the method described by tezet -> CM10.2 from Engle_Mars via the cwm recovery from tezets CM10 rom

Now, before I did the procedure to flash the rom, I start the Milestone 2 in the Bootloader mode as
recommended you.I noticed the battery´s device is discharched, and I don´t have other battery to replace.
Remembering my recovery don´t have any battery charge options.
There is one way to charge the battery or solution, without use the recovery mode or buy another battery?

Only do this for a short period of time, else your battery could damage.
Flash something, then wipe data in stock recovery, and try to boot your device.
Good luck

Try to get a universal battery charger.
