I have the S5 with rooted Kit Kat. It works great. Has add free, foxfi, Enforce stream Silencer (no camera shutter sound)...
This past weekend, I installed LinkedIn and it won't connect. If I type my username and password incorrect, it tells me that I have supplied incorrect credentials. If I supply correct credentials, I get the white box that says, "Loading..."with the spinning circle. This is as far as I get. I can wait 30 mins and nothing happens. If I tap anywhere on the screen, I am taken back to the login screen.
I tried rebooting, reinstalling the app, restoring hosts via adFree... no help. weird thing is that LinkedIn Job search works.
What must I do to get the app to login?

I was forced to change my password today due to 30 day timing on the email password.
So where in the Atrix do I change the gmail password? I tried, accounts, gmail but there is no password box/option in there.
Any ideas?
I'm not understanding: GMAIL doesn't force you to change passwords at thirty days.

Well I work for the largest company in the world that uses Gmail as it's email system. Therefore gmail has corporate requirements of password changes.
Not no matter that I need to change the password on my phone and I cannot find out where to do it. Any help?

Delete the account, and add it back up. Problem solved
"Therefore gmail has corporate requirements of password changes."
I understand now, but I think you mean "our corporate IP has requirements of password changes". GMAIL is incidental, their email policy probably applies to all email.
I poked around and saw no way to change passwords, that's odd. Before you try diablo's solution...Try changing the password, then accessing the account with the phone. It MIGHT be one of those invisible Google things, if the password is rejected I would expect the phone to ask you to confirm/re-enter the password. The same way that a lot of email clients do, when they get a "password rejected" messager from a mail server.
Or...ask the whiz kids in corporate IT.<G> I always figured if they're that concerned with security, they should ante up and buy RSA fobs for everyone. THAT's almost security. Passwords? Is it under your mouse pad, or your keyboard?<VBG>
if you use the actual gmail app on the phone, it should ask at some point when it tries to check.
Found this from some other forum:
I needed to change my gmail password for security reasons, but I knew this would mess with the G1 account too, since they use the same login info. I searched for a way to change/update the password on the phone and couldn't find it. So, on a whim I went to google.com/accounts on the browser, signed in, then clicked on "Change Password". After changing it successfully, I went back to the Home Screen on the phone, opened the GMail app, clicked on Menu, then Refresh. I got a sync error, but the notification gives an option to re-enter your password. I entered the new password, and voila, it worked.
Even the reasoning for this is pretty convincing:
i think they designed it like this so if you got your phone "stolen/lost" you HAVE a way to change your password via online rather than you phone cause obvious your phone is stolen/lost =D

I did this on my friends captivate and it worked. However there is no popup for a failed sync that allows you to update the password on the Atrix.
This is insane. Why would I be forced to delete an account and add bak to change a password.

Something is not right.
Look in ur 'status bar' or in the pull down notifications screen.
Are u sure sync ran? Try sending a test mail from a different account to this and see if it retrieves it properly. Reboot phone n see if the sync was using a cached connection.

This is insane. I tried synching in accounts and in gmail app as well. It fails but no option to reenter the password. Even google talk fails but only a retry option or a cancel option.
Since this is my master account I have to factory reset.
This just can't be right.

Wait. Try going to settings --> applications, and clear data for gmail, gmail storage, etc n see if that works.
I read horror stories about this but when I changed my password I was prompted. I forced a gmail sync which failed and it put an exclaimation mark in the notification bar which I dragged down and clicked. Prompted for a new password and then I was good to go. This was on a phone with Sense and 2.2
Only thing I would worry is if moto screwed it up but I doubt it.

Nope that didn't work either...
AT&T Can't figure it out
Motorola Andriod Level 1,2 & 3 can't figure it out
This is absolutely insane that you cannot change a gmail password. Can anyone else try it? You can always change yours back...I can't since I cannot reuse passwords for 180 days.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to return the phone since I love it but I can't go through this every 30 days!

It worked fine for me. Got the little exclamation point notification, clicked, and entered my new password. Are you not getting that? Could it be some setting on your company's side? When you try and refresh your gmail app, does it just do nothing?

I have tried to sync in both the gmail app and sync in the accounts area in settings. Nothing really happens and definitely no notifications of failure in the app. When I try to sync in settings>accounts I get the following: Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." That is next to a sync logo with the red exclamation point in it. That notification appears in the window at the bottom and not in the notification bar.
When I have cell access again I will change my personal gmail account and see if I get a notification.
Ok so a bit more movement on the topic. I do get the notification that asks for the new password on my personal gmail account. I do not get that notification for the corporate gmail account.
Any ideas now?
Well it is working now. Did a factory reset, setup account again. It was working, changed my corporate gmail password and this time on t he phone I got the notification.
Only difference was that I did not have it rooted at the time. Hopefully it doesn't happen again!
I've been having a problem with losing my accounts. CM7, emmc, today's nightly, but it's been happening for a couple of weeks.
The most visible symptom is that the WiFi indicator goes white. WiFi itself is working just fine, but I can't access my Google account for Contacts or Market. I use K-9 with gmail, and that still works (different protocol and authentication method).
Has anybody else been seeing this? If so, what do you do about it?
Contacts shows my non-Google contacts, Market (new version, which might be significant, see below) tells me that I have to sign in first, but silently closes when I tap on the button to do so.
Settings/Accounts shows me some random subset of my other accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn), and when I try to add an account from there, it doesn't present me with the option of adding a Google account, just Corporate (Exchange), and whichever of Facebook or LinkedIn are still present.
The solution that works best so far is to re-install gapps and go through the sign-in procedure again. The WiFi indicator goes green and all is well. I tried removing /data/system/accounts.db and rebooting (a hint from a possibly-irrelevant thread), but that didn't really fix the problem.
The really weird thing is that I installed the new Market a week or so ago, but reflashing gapps doesn't blow it away, even though the gapps .zip (20110613) contains a smaller Vending.apk than the new Market zip does. I tried to uninstall Market (!) so the next time I reflash gapps I'd get the old one back, and it was willing to uninstall Market's "updates", which appears to have reverted Market to the gapps zip version, after one FC, without requiring a reboot.
Unfortunately, I can't remember whether this was happening before I installed the new Market. I should keep a log...
Thanks for any help you can render!
Could that be behind proxy causing those problems?

I don't think so; there's certainly no explicit proxying going on here. Our corporate firewalls can be interesting, but I'm connected to an unsecured access point for use by visitors. Also, it's not a solid failure; things work fine until they don't.
It doesn't really act like a network problem; if a corporate firewall can remove my Google account from Settings/Accounts, we have serious security issues.
BTW, jazzbass12 has reported what looks like the same problem in this post. The solutions proposed there don't seem to work for me.
I don't recall not able access gmail or not but when I'm at work and using unsecured access point for visitor (just like your company), I cannot download or install any app successfully, they all queue up and do nothing until I go home and using my home network. Wifi indicator shows white vs green? Is that it?

Right, I get a white indicator but (new) Market stuff doesn't queue up, it tells me to log in, but fails when I let it try. I think that this hasn't happened with the old Market, but I can't prove that yet. Which Market app are you running?
My other clues are that Settings/Accounts doesn't show Google or let me add one, and the Google Contacts are missing; the rest of the contacts are there.
Still using the old Market, haven't updated yet.
Anyone else having trouble with google 2FA authentication?
I went to bed last night with a fully working Developer and Rooted S5 phone - workup this morning and my phone would not access any google service. Thought maybe my google account had been hacked (password reset), but tablet and laptop still connected just fine.
I reentered my id, password, and 2fa codes several times, but still said login failed. I would get the email that it consumed a onetime use 2FA code, but the phone still said "there is a problem signing in". I tried from gmail, hangout, google+ and it always failed. The time it worked i was prompted from the play store app. Once it worked, everything else started working too.
Anyone else? Was there a security policy update that could break this?
I don't have 2FA set up, but I did get the "problem signing in" prompt and had to reenter my password. It was for only one of the google accounts on my phone though. Wonder if google has a glitch earlier today?

Hello I've had my s5 for about 8 months I just recently did a hard reset so like any other new cell it asks for a Google account and a Samsung account if you have one...
Well I put Google account and everything is OK.. By the time I punch in my details for the Samsung account it says processing failed. I know it's not my details because I have 1 other Samsung s5mini and has the same I'd and password.
It's basically a paperweight right now it won't let me get passes the 3rd screen (Samsung account loggin)
Please help
I am having the same problem as well. I bought my phone from someone else over a year ago so I am not sure if it wants their account or what. The crazy thing is that if I use an incorrect password it says invalid password, but when I enter the right one I get processing failed. Not sure what to do, can't Odin older firmware
Check youtube for "Bypass Galaxy S5 reactivation lock"
same thing here. when i use the right password says, processing failed. when i use wrong one, it says, wrong password
pain in the butt this thing.
Samsung account username/password (test - validation) this is easy to be performed by a computer logging at Samsung website.
Customer support of Samsung this is amazing, if you contact them.
In case that you do log-in normally in your Samsung account over the web, and when you do that from your phone this Fail, then something is heavily wrong, and also Samsung customer support them will hold the answers about that too.
Check Samsung Account app permission ... grant everything and try again
I spent the last 6 hours on this, but I'm finally up and running. Forgot that reset your pw and wait 24 hours BS. The problem is the older devices don't recognize the 2-factor authentication, which means you have to sneak in the backdoor and turn it on. No need to call 911 either - leave those lines open for real emergencies! Here's the step by step, (assuming I haven't forgotten anything).
1. On login page, select the microphone button. This will take you to keyboard options. Select "set hot keys" and type any text in the field.
2. Highlight the text and tap to select Google Assist. On the menu that pops up, hit the share icon and then Google Drive.
3. Okay, this is the part I'm blanking on, so good luck! Somehow from here, I was able to access an address bar. I suggest clicking around until something pops up.
4. Once you get to an address bar, type in "Quick Shortcut Maker" and install and open the app. This app creates shortcuts to various applications on your device.
5. In the app, select Applications and scroll to "Settings." Voila! You just snuck in the back door. Interestingly, I was able to access all kinds of applications this way - NOT VERY SECURE SAMSUNG!!
6. The irony of this next step will blow your mind. Head over to the "backup and reset" menu and select factory reset. I know, you're probably thinking, "this is how I got here in the first place." That's what makes this SO funny.
7. Before you can perform a factory reset, Samsung asks you to verify your pw. Go ahead and enter it again. You will magically end up behind the curtain where you are prompted to enable 2-FA on your phone. Yay! And now you are logged in.
8. Before restarting go to the "accounts" menu in settings and view and verify your profile info associated with the Samsung account. I went ahead and entered my phone number here just in case that mattered.
9. I did all of the steps above with the sim card out. It still didn't work at this point, but after reloading the sim card, I am back in business!!
Hi guys
Need some help here. I usually access Office 365 on my Chrome browser on my device (i dont want to install a mail app. I am trying to limit notifications etc to my device)
When i try to log in, i get this error? I thought it was related to Magisk, so i rooted with Supersu. Sometimes on various roms, i get in, even on this one (Hyper V3) i did a factory reset, but now, i cannot access.
I cannot find any info related to this on the web. Basically at this screen, it usually provides a dialig saying you need to active a pin or fingerprint for authentication. I cancel it, and it goes to log in.
But now it gives me this error. So im not sure if its related to something with the lock unlock etc?
