Hi, I have a trouble. When I reboot my Galaxy Grand Prime, it enter on Recovery Mode, automatically. I didn't do anything. So I go to reboot option, and I select System, and then my phone start normal. But I don't know what my phone enter on recovery mode when I reboot. Please help me. Sorry, my English is bad.
If you rooted your phone with Mohan's method, then you need to factory reset your phone, doing that will solve that issue.
Edit.--------------------
You can't charge your phone turned off, because every time you connect the cable it will turn on the phone, but that's all, for me not a big problem, charge my phone turned on and calibrate my battery with battery calibration from play store.

I didnt reflash galaxy tab, was probably installing some software from the market. Now the battery has died, i restarted it and it keeps restarting after the logo... help, i dont know any recovery options :S Kies has nothing
I'm having the same issue. It sounds like a fastboot -w is required to wipe out userdata and cache.
Unfortunately I can't seem to get my PC to recognize my tablet in fastboot mode. I might have to send my tablet back to Samsung to get reflashed.

That has happened to me when I was having battery issues. I was able to keep connecting and disconnecting the charger cable until I got my tab to work again.
yeah might be that as well, i noticed strange behavior for last weeks, suddenly it started draining battery very fast or shutting down in the middle of the battery. running very slow and freezing.
when connected to pc it always goes: connect/disconnect/connect/... (hearing windows sounds for that)
i fully charged that yesterday, will try to boot today.
HOWEVER i was able to get into recovery menu, wipe/delete cache, sdcard, factory reset, etc.
might be that firmware/rom/bootstrap has been fuked up when battery died suddenly?

Hi guys
I didn't install new apps, no updates, no battery weak problem, no connect/disconnect problem, had DiP7's 2.3.3 rom since 10th July, very stable & solid. Not a single problem.
But my SGT GSM suddenly reboot-loop. I was just reading emails, reviewing photos.
Solutions: -
Enter recovery mode, Wipe date/Factory reset without wiping dalvik/battery stats etc. It just works and could run Titanium Backup to restore if I needed.
But ............................. Alternatives??? (New Life???): -
Tried HC_RC1, was good, but not daily driver yet, finally jumped to BOCA's 2.3.7, still playing around.
You may need to open up your tab and do the battery disconnect procedure. I finally had enough with my tab and opened it up. So far I am happy again.
i have some issue to
anyone can resolve it?
always reboot , and if i want to open keyboard, it restarting again
Thanks for the suggestion but it did not work for me...I experienced same problem you mentioned below except I had gone on vacation and my tab battery died and when I was able to recharge it, it just recycles through the Samsung logo!
Tried all the suggestions on this site and no luck so far...I'm guessing it might be time to take it in to Tmobile and see what they have to say, probably not much!
I'm not ever going to get a Samsung tablet again...Asus from here on out!!!

if its gsm go to overcome restocking method
Just go into recovery mode by holding volume down+power button.
Wipe everything then do a hard reset in recover screen.
If not do this.
Go here and download gbsafe_v5. Zip. It has everything you need including drivers and odin files
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1317384
Also download overcome-kernel_4. 0.tar file as well.
Once you downloaded these two files plug in your tab to usb and wait for that phone and pc screen or download mode screen.
Go here and follow steps up to 10.
magrathearoms.weebly.com/install.html
Your phone is now stock'ish GB with OC'ed kernel including custom clockwork recovery. This version also comes with phone capabilities unlocked so you can use it like a real phone. All you have to do is load tmobile. Modem file. If not then use as wifi only.

It's been few days since ur post. But I'll give it a shot for trying to suggest.
Try holding power button for 8 seconds to properly power off. Then charge it for a good hour before starting the unit.
Else just keep charging it. Standard times are 4 hours to get zero to 100%.
Once my power used till zero and no response what so ever even after charge 5 mins. Finally let it charge 1 good hour & it came back to life.
Good luck.

Dont see a thanks buttom i appreciate it MAN !!!
If it really happened after installing bad apps it will only wipe recovery mode
I flashed PA, GAPPS and then DER kernel; wiped cache and dalvik and rebooted. It booted fine and I restored all my settings. I ran a benchmark and in the middle of it, it cut off and wouldn't turn back on. I plugged it in to the stock charger and I got the charging indicator. Then after playing with the volume and power buttons I got it into download mode. I then moved to the computer to use the toolkit and reflash the stock rom and when I plugged it into the computer the charging indicator would not come on, went back to the stock charger and now the charging indicator wont come on. Now it won't do anything, no download mode, no bootloader, nothing.
Any suggestions?
I found one other thread where someone had the same problem and he ended up just RMA'ing.
TYIA
Leave it charging undisturbed for the night, try again tomorrow. It'll boot up again most likely.
Careful with the benchmarking. Which I'm sure you don't need advise for anymore I bet..
Let it sit over night on the charger, still nothing.

When you plug in the phone do you get the red notification light? Have you tried letting the phone charge for several hours while off or opening the phone and disconnecting/reconnecting the battery?

You need to get out of download mode. Honestly I mash force rebooting the N4 and plug it in and out of the charge until something works, and every time without fail it works lol

When in download mode press the down and up volume rocker and power button. Try this for some time and it must reboot into bootloader(android with open chest).
(try it when connected to computer too)
If you get it to bootloader you can restore it!!
1. Flash factory image . all info here detailed :::http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010312
2. If u cant do it yourself download mskip's toolkit and install drivers. Select option to restore to factory image and it must get you back to stock rom unrooted with only bootloader unlocked.

ALL THE BEST..:good::good::good::good::good:
I'm not sure what the heck happened. Flashed cwm to my sph-l720t and all was groovy. I was able to install CM 11 and update to the latest nightly. A few minutes ago the phone just powered off and it won't come back up. The battery is fully charged.
I can't power it up in any way with out having to take the battery out for a few minutes. After that I get one shot at powering it on or entering recovery mode.
If i hold vol down and the power button it enters the download mode but then shuts off. The same thing happens with recovery mode and booting normally.
Any ideas?

Try replacing the battery. Maybe borrow a friends battery just to test if that's the problem. My phone used to power on fine and almost full battery. It would shutoff suddenly so when I powered it on again it would show the battery still almost fully charged. This happend a few times and sometimes I noticed the battery level would drop for example was at 87% it shut off, powered it on and now showed 42%.. I replaced the battery and everything was A okay

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I've tried this already. Still no joy.
So I ended up bringing the phone to sprint. They said it was a software issue and gave me a new one. He also said there was a bad update or something but i wasn't on a stock rom so i'm not sure how true that is.
On the last device I rooted and installed clockwork mod using flashify. I then restored my backup of my old sph-l720 (non triband) and it worked for about a day then at some point it died and was stuck in the position mentioned in the OP. Does anyone thing that the phone bricked because of my restore method or because of some weird circumstances on sprint's end? I want to restore but don't want to brick it.
If that backup came from a non tri-band l720 S4, that is what happened to your l720t. Do not restore that backup to your new one if it is a l720t

Any idea what about it caused it to fail catastrophicaly like that after a little over a day of flawless use?
Hello i have been freaking out and researching this for hours. (found nothing)
What I did
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9gL_4KNs_Q
I have T-Mobile.
Now when my phone boots up it keeps shutting off. stays on for 1-5 seconds
I then did a factory reset and cleared the cache.
I can some times get it to the home screen and flip back and forth on the different screens then it shuts off. I have seen I have superuser on in the apps but don't get a lot of time to check root before it shuts off.
I do have red text on the Samsung logo screen that says "kernel is not seandroid enforced" (Spelling)
What do I do?
Safe mode also shuts off.
I can get to download mode and recovery mode
I just cant get it to stay on .
Any help would be great thanks.
Additional info
Update more info: When I factory reset. I do get an error failed to mount /preloader (no files or directory) wording might be a bit off but that's about what it says.
does it restart in recovery/download mode?
does it restart when the plug in into a charger?

I guess I should have changed the wording. Its not rebooting it just shuts off.
No It does not restart when I charge it. But it does show the battery image and charges.

Sorry for the miss communication.
Lets try this again.
I can plug the phone in and it charges while its turned off. you know the battery screen.
I can volume up, home and power For down load mode
I can volume down home and power (factory reset, cache delete so on)
I can get ODIN to connect but I cant flash the firmware I found. Maybe its the wrong firmware? Could you point me to what I need?
But when I just turn it on either charging or not it shuts it self off a few seconds later. Seems to happen after a message about auto time and date pops up. And when I say shuts down it just shuts off no like shut down screen or anything.
ok start again, please put all info so it wont be confusing:
what initiate the problem?
did you install a custom rom?
are you rooted?
what phone model are you using?
odin version?
have you tried flashing thru samsung switch? if not, try it

Update:
I just got my phone back from Samsung. On Friday they told be they didn't fix it because it was rooted and said they are mailing it back. Well now I don't have a phone so I Saturday I went and got a new s7 edge from t mobile. Its now Wednesday and I get my phone from Samsung. I open the package all bummed wondering what I am going to do with this phone. I then see the phone is in a small blue draw bag thing I thought it was cool so I open it to look at it and I see my phone light it. The sim card and tray on taped to the back of the phone but my phone is on! I then sat here looking at it waiting for it to reboot. I put my sim card. Then a screen popped up saying reboot? and I click yes . I was so mad at myself but then it restarted and everything was ok. I installed root checker and I have root access. the phone has now been on for the last hour or so. Not sure if it was something Samsung did or taking the sim card out did something.
But now I have a rooted s6 edge plus rooted and a s7 edge. and out like 600 bucks
Best solution, use Samsung's Smart Switch software (download from their site) and restore to factory ROM and kernel (official Samsung version). If it is anything software related, this will definitely fix it.
in case you dont know the steps: open smart switch, connect device (make sure its detected), got to more > emergency software recovery & initialization > Device initialization > type in your exact model name at the bottom > then serial number (make sure you type it correctly > type ok, follow instructions, and let it do its thing .
Try this and let me know how it goes. Good luck.
its kernal issue try to flash a different kernal available for edge+
So, here's my situation, my phone suddenly turned off last night while installing a game, when i tried to power it up, it "blinking" on the boot logo, it keeps turned on and off, so i reckon its battery has run out, so i charge it, then it works, it can boot to system, after it shows around 80% i unplugged the charger but the phone then suddenly turned off and again, blinking on the boot logo.. so i charge it again just to see it boot to system and shows 80% battery.. i tried to charge it to 100%, but at 100%, the phone suddenly died, again..
at first i thought it might be a battery problem, or power circuit thingy, but here's the catch, it can hold for 30 mins + on bootloader mode..
can someone tell me what is wrong with my phone?
EDIT: flashed stock ROM and Recovery, still no use
EDIT2: Did the QPST as suggested as Rwepradeep, still blinking on lenovo logo
EDIT3: Solved! Battery was the actual problem

okay so i did the qpst thing, it can hold on at download mode until it finished, then after that the phone reboots, and it happened again...
i don't get this phone, it works well on bootloader and download mode, but not so long at recovery.. not to mention i can't even boot into system (can't even past the boot logo lol)
Okay so, i took it to Lenovo Service Center, they told me something wrong with the battery, apparently it hold up on bootloader because the bootloader mode didn't took so much power, so even a broken battery should hold up a little.. Changed the battery, now it works well, thanks for all the help..
