Want Windows Phone 7.8 without installing RSPL/HSPL or custom ROMs?

Just Google: "Want Windows Phone 7.8 now? Try this easy tool (Update: Now supports 7720)" - I can't post URL yet.
Tested on my virgin HTC Surround and now I have 7.8 without installing anything previously.
Initial settings:
PD26100 SS-BC (4K)
SPL-4.5.2250.0(129685) MNG
MicroP(LED) 0x09
Touch C1(v62)
SD SANDISK 15192MB
Partition Info-v211v413

i was just browsing the thread don't have a wp8 was debating on getting on to test out was trying to see if i could upgrade the surround which does seem possible thanks for the info

what type of surround do you have ATT branded one? i have been thinking about picking up one off cowboom and running a tmobile sim card in it to test out 7.8

the handset sold in Indonesia, is the dual sim version, so quite a lot actually.

Graag. Tot nu toe alleen vanuit Azië af en toe een custom rom. Heb het vaak geprobeerd maar ontbreekt mij (i) essentiële kennis en (ii) tijd.

You have to help me on this one, because some time I tried but without succes. Device HTC desire 816 w dual sim. Original 1.29.708.1 version. Now running 1.56.401.1 odexed version. Still s-on pff

Try to stay in english, they are the rules on xda.
Soon you'll get a EU chef for 816

If you are rooted and custom recovery..
try to give me a TWRP backup
Or use a zip archive app to zip "/system" partition on your device

Strange, working fine by mine phone. It did took some time (i believe I restarted my phone before rom is actual active). My phone should be running 1.56.708.2 version.

A lot of people would have opted for the Dual-SIM version.
There's the Asia and India versions and then an international one, I believe.
Anyhow. The CM11 Image available here works perfectly on my Asia market Dual SIM.

hey Danny...thanks a lot,A God for helping people around, with strong determination n consistency. After goin thru so many days on this site I finally decided to join n appreciate as many for the help being offered by XDA. I hv htc desire 816 d( Indian version). I hv no knowledge of the talks of tech savvy but as an enthusiast for rooting I went all the way and got my htc rooted but S_ON still. So root checker shows I m rooted. I have Super SU but don't knw what to do with it now and evry whr it says S-off is req for lot of things to play with a rooted device..... I m now Surrendering from here to you so that I cud have a genuine advisor guiding a non techy to enjoy his hard earned HTC Desire 816. God Bless You Danny.

Hi, do you have idea if A5_DWG's first sim , an LTE supporting slot ? Although i'll be getting airtel's 4g sim for my other phone in a day or two, but seeing this post made me curious.

He said 626 not 626s (unless he said it in the video, I wouldn't know because I can't hear whatever he is saying) but yes, I am also intrigued by xposed possibly working... It's really all I need for my phone.. The stock rom suits me fine, xposed is the missing piece of the puzzle.

So how did you get xposed working? All you did was root your phone then installed framework or what did you do? The reason why we ask is because nobody has successfully installed xposed with the 626s, which is what WE have

Htc desire 626s xposed is avaliable after flashing the firmware with custom recovery! Of course you need to flash CyanogenMod recovery and SU binarys (theres a thread for it, step by step) and theres also a thread for xposed for LP/MM on xda

When will I get Marshmallow update for "HTC desire 626" if you have then plz send me in the link.
