Guys,
When my wife plugs her GS4 on her computer it says "486MB free of 9.24GB"
When I go to settings and storage, the system is alocating almost 7GB to run certain applications. This cannot be right. Any thoughts?

I did this but the cached data is still the same
Turn off phone
Remove the battery and reinsert.
Hold down the Home and Volume Up keys
Press and hold the Power button while still holding the other keys.
As soon as you see the Samsung logo, release all keys/buttons.
Press on the Volume Down to scroll down to Wipe Cache Partition.
Press the Power button to select it.
Press the Volume down button to highlight "Yes" and press the Power Button to select it.
Wait for a few minutes for the phone to clear the data.
Then press the Power button to select reboot system now.
Wait for your phone to reboot.
You can simply tap on the cache data in the same window you attached the screenshot ..it will give you option to clear cache .. then recheck storage ..repeat 2-3 times then cache data will be too less or will not show even ..
To compensate memory I would recommend to buy a class 10 memory card for this phone ..this supports upto 64 GB ..but 32GB or less one should not effect performance. .
If you are expert ..flash the latest Panama (unbranded) rom ..this is much stable ..disable the nfc ..

It's fine, this is Windows Default . You just have to switch to Sense.
To do that just press Start Button --> Settings --> Home --> *Switch to Items* --> Make sure "HTC Sense" Is checked and "Windows Default" Isn't .
There's nothing wrong with that - it's the Windows Today screen. I'd recommend doing a hard reset since you just got it.
Turn off the phone, hold down both volume down and volume up buttons, and briefly press the power button. Then follow the on-screen instructions.

Based on the pics, I guess you need to flash a new rom since it looks like a chuckydroid rom.

Its either a stripped own windows designed for using as a base to boot into Android OS, or it has had sense disabled via settings.
Go download the windows ROM you want as your OS, extract the .nbh file, rename it to "leoimg.nbh" put it onto root of your sdcard and reboot phone and then hold volume down key and follow instructions.

i put the leoimg.nbh file, nothing happened. it booted back to the same screen.
do i click power, THEN vol down ?
i also left all of my other files up there.. will that interfere?
Place the downloaded leoimg.nbh on the root of your memory card, hold down vol-down button and then hold down power-button until the screen wakes up. If you have done it rigth, instructions should appear and you just follow them...

It took me a lot of research to finally get my tab updated and rooted...between hearing about the locked bootloaders and such, but now...I am going to give you my guide to success...
Step 1 - Prereqs
Download this file Root Files
Extract folder to desktop and install driver's if you don't already have them installed.
Connect your tablet with ADB (Debugging) turned off (Ensures it is in MTP mode)
Step 2 - Copying files
Copy eh04_update.zip (If on EG04) and Galaxy_Root to your tablet
Step 3 - Updating to EH04 (If on EG04)
Completely power off your tablet
Once off, turn it on, when you see the screen light up, HOLD power+vol up until you see two icons
Press Vol up then press Vol down - You will be brought into the recovery menu.
Press vol down until you are highlighting "Apply update from /sdcard" then press power to select
Press vol up until you are highighting "eh04_update.zip" then press power to select
Tablet will update - this will take around 5 minutes and it will reboot on its own
At this point you are updated to EH04 and can stop here if that's all you wish to do...Below I describe how to root the device.
Step 4 - Installing Clockwork Recovery
Completely power off your tablet
Once off, turn it on, when you see the screen light up, HOLD power+vol up until you see two icons
Press Vol Down and when prompted press Vol Up
If not already, plug the tablet in, install drivers if you didn't listen in step 1
Open Odin from the folder Odin.

}
Click "PDA" and select "ClockworkRecovery_LTE.tar.md5" from the folder you extracted
If Odin does not show your tablet plugged in (yellow box with a COM port number) make sure your drivers have installed properly.
If everything checks out - Click "Start"
Once It has finished writing, the tablet will restart
THIS PORTION IS COMPLETED! You now have Clockwork Mod installed
[I'll finish it up tomorrow, I'm beat from no sleep]
Thanks for spending the time to write this up. I've been through the process twice now, but it'll be nice to be able to reference this directly whenever I need to go through again.

Posted the link for the files - Should get you start!
These are the steps explaining you how to flash a custom firmware to the SmartQ Ten3 T15.
Use my How To to create the Custom Firmware.
These steps should apply to any custom firmware for SmartQ Ten3 T15.
Warning : Creating a firmware and changing the files may cause your device to stop working, I won't be held responsible for any damage caused by this.
Flashing your firmware isn't more difficult than rooting the device, if you did that you can do this.
I'll use pictures to illustrate the right options. The recovery is in Chinese so this will make it easier to follow the right procedure.
1. Reboot your device into recovery, by selecting the right option in Android 4.0.3 after long pressing the power button. Or by pressing and keeping the volume down button together with the power button.

You use the volume up and down buttons to move the selection up or down. And you press the power button to confirm an option.
2. Select the second option from the menu. (Flash file from SD card)
3.Select the 3rd option from the menu. (Toggle certificate verification)
An extra line will be added to the bottom half of the screen. Most probably confirming the toggle to switch off certification verification.
4. Select the 2nd option from the menu. (Browse sd card for file)
5. Select the file SmartQT15 you put on the root of your microSD card.
Firmware flashing will start and you can follow it's progress in the lower half of the screen:
Once done the last menu will appear again.
6. Select bottom option from the menu. (Back)
7. Select the top option from the menu. (Reboot device)
Firmware flashing is done and your device will reboot. If you have done nothing wrong your device will start-up normally.
If you have any questions feel free to post below and I'll do my best to answer them, all the above is based on my experience and from what I could find out on the Internet.
If you want to know how to make the firmware pre-rooted contact me via PM and I'll do my best explaining it to you.

Which languaje? Have Spanish?
Hi all,
I bit the bullet and picked up a 2nd hand OrangeUK Flipout (details available if I need to prove I bought it legally)... but the seller cannot remember the pattern to draw to access the phone.
How might I resolve this issue, please?
I can access the Bootloader, which is on v91.10, but that's all I've found so far.
I have found RSD Lite v5.6 and the USB Drivers from the MotoDev website.
Will flashing RUTEM_U3_01.19.2 (or any other RUTEM) onto the device ie following the Debranding Guide, reset this and allow me to start playing with Android?
What about the FlipOut Recovery?
Thank-you,
Dylan.
Wow. Err, okay, I wasn't expecting it to be that easy.
It only took a simple Hard Reset and it's fine - Back to the start as if seting up a brand new out-the-box phone!
In case any other fellow Noobie-Noobs encounters this issue, here's what I did:
Motorola Flipout (MB511) - Step by step hard reset
1/. Switch the device off - Hold the power button for a couple of seconds and then press Power Off
2/. With the device off, open it up, hold the X key and hold down the Power button until you see the Motorola M.
3/. Shortly after, an image like this will appear:

}
4/. TAP the power button to enter the Android System Recovery menu.
5/. Use the little D-Pad to select the 4th option - Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
6/. Press Enter to confirm.
7/. Confirm you want to reset the device.
8/. After the reset, go back into the System Recovery menu and select the 1st option - Reboot.
You should now have one factory-fresh phone!
