It's fine, this is Windows Default . You just have to switch to Sense.
To do that just press Start Button --> Settings --> Home --> *Switch to Items* --> Make sure "HTC Sense" Is checked and "Windows Default" Isn't .

There's nothing wrong with that - it's the Windows Today screen. I'd recommend doing a hard reset since you just got it.
Turn off the phone, hold down both volume down and volume up buttons, and briefly press the power button. Then follow the on-screen instructions.

Based on the pics, I guess you need to flash a new rom since it looks like a chuckydroid rom.

Its either a stripped own windows designed for using as a base to boot into Android OS, or it has had sense disabled via settings.
Go download the windows ROM you want as your OS, extract the .nbh file, rename it to "leoimg.nbh" put it onto root of your sdcard and reboot phone and then hold volume down key and follow instructions.

i put the leoimg.nbh file, nothing happened. it booted back to the same screen.
do i click power, THEN vol down ?
i also left all of my other files up there.. will that interfere?

Place the downloaded leoimg.nbh on the root of your memory card, hold down vol-down button and then hold down power-button until the screen wakes up. If you have done it rigth, instructions should appear and you just follow them...

How to cardflash with hareld?

Hi
does anyone know how in need to call the "ARTEIMG.nbh" with the hareld when I am using this manual:?
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_SD_Card_Flashing
Empty (erase the contents) of your microSD card from the Windows Mobile file explorer or format it from your computer using a card reader (in some cases format doesn't work).(not necessary, do it only if 1st attemt fails)
Extract the .NBH file from your prefered ROM upgrade: In windows use winrar (right click) to extract the contents of the exe file. In Linux / MacOS use cabextract.
Rename the .NBH file to ARTEIMG.nbh and copy it to the root folder of your microSD card.
With microSD card inserted on the phone, start the bootloader (The bootloader is invoked by pressing down the Record button and using the stylus at the same time to press the RESET button at the left side).
You should see the screen pictured on the left, confirm flashing on screen by pressing the volume slider down.
Flashing might hang after some time but this is normal. Just wait. Complete flash takes about 30 minutes, so check your battery or connect to charger before the flashing process starts.
SuperCID devices are able to flash any NBH image using this method.

HTC "You" animated splash screen (w/ audio)

I created a clean looking HTC animated splash based on the HTC "YOU" commercials. It's only about 4 seconds long to avoid a long startup sequence. Just unzip and use a file namager like Total Commander to copy the files into your /windows/ folder.
If someone would volunteer to make this a cab, I'd appreciate it.
Update: Sept 1st, 2010 - Installable CAB version for those who don't want to have to copy the files to their windows folder. (thanks Brent372). Look a few posts down for the link.

Cab installed to device, no go.
Stock ROM/ radio...themes all custom cozy.
In which folder do u put the zip file in windows???
On Acer Neotouch S200 with a stock ROM is NOT working....
I've installed a cab on a main mamory, but nothing!
alright i found this app which changes icons but it also contains a "bonus feature"
that allows you to change either the animated boot screen, and or microsoft boot screen just copy your "gifs",and "pngs" to your sd card find them with the app
Save, close, then use the "reset device" option and enjoy.
(the preview option is broken)
Using this now on my Sprint Touch Pro 2. If you have Sprint, you have to copy over the "SPCS_480x800.gif" file in the Windows folder.
Thanks for the great work!
P.S. Where's the thanks button on your post? Would like to have used it...

[GUIDE:In development] Updating + Rooting the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE (4G) for Verizon

Like my guide? Support me via donations: [email protected] and I'll continue writing more guides on whatever you ask me
It took me a lot of research to finally get my tab updated and rooted...between hearing about the locked bootloaders and such, but now...I am going to give you my guide to success...
Step 1 - Prereqs
Download this file Root Files
Extract folder to desktop and install driver's if you don't already have them installed.
Connect your tablet with ADB (Debugging) turned off (Ensures it is in MTP mode)
Step 2 - Copying files
Copy eh04_update.zip (If on EG04) and Galaxy_Root to your tablet
Step 3 - Updating to EH04 (If on EG04)
Completely power off your tablet
Once off, turn it on, when you see the screen light up, HOLD power+vol up until you see two icons
Press Vol up then press Vol down - You will be brought into the recovery menu.
Press vol down until you are highlighting "Apply update from /sdcard" then press power to select
Press vol up until you are highighting "eh04_update.zip" then press power to select
Tablet will update - this will take around 5 minutes and it will reboot on its own
At this point you are updated to EH04 and can stop here if that's all you wish to do...Below I describe how to root the device.
Step 4 - Installing Clockwork Recovery
Completely power off your tablet
Once off, turn it on, when you see the screen light up, HOLD power+vol up until you see two icons
Press Vol Down and when prompted press Vol Up
If not already, plug the tablet in, install drivers if you didn't listen in step 1
Open Odin from the folder Odin.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Click "PDA" and select "ClockworkRecovery_LTE.tar.md5" from the folder you extracted
If Odin does not show your tablet plugged in (yellow box with a COM port number) make sure your drivers have installed properly.
If everything checks out - Click "Start"
Once It has finished writing, the tablet will restart
THIS PORTION IS COMPLETED! You now have Clockwork Mod installed
[I'll finish it up tomorrow, I'm beat from no sleep]
Thanks for spending the time to write this up. I've been through the process twice now, but it'll be nice to be able to reference this directly whenever I need to go through again.

How to update mytouch 3g manually!!!

i have FINALLY found a working way to manually update your mytouch 3g device! all the other methods have broken links and not working SAPPIMG's, so i have to files that will update you to froyo 2.2.1! so you can skip that google activation setup if you reset your phone
with the following files, it should be named update.zip what you do, is put it on the root of your SD card (not in any folders at all), then you turn off the phone, and hold the home and end (power) keys until a warning triangle and a phone appears, then you tap home and end (power) again and it should bring up a menu, and one option should say, update.zip select that option and select it with your trackball then it should show a loading bar and it should restart your phone a couple times. then when it turns on again, put the 2nd update file on your SD card, power it off and repeat the process above.
again, it should be named update.zip if not, rename it to update.zip then do the same as you did with file one, then viola! you're mytouch 3g is now running android OS 2.2.1 enjoy!
if you're updating to skip that annoying google sign in thing, because you don't have a mobile network, then this IS for you! after this update, when it tells you to tap the android, tap it, hit skip, then between create and sign in on the google page there should be a skip button, that will skip the google sign in!

Three and a half years later and a very outdated, obsolete device this method still works to bypass the google setup. I don't even plan on ever using this phone, just wanted o see if this worked. It did....lol

[Q] Unable to reboot to Recovery

I'm unable to boot into recovery after flashing the [JB 4.2] - CleanROM 2.5 rom. The ROM has horrible performance issue and I'm unable to flash a different ROM now. I have try going to reocvery by press & hold volume up+down and power button to go into bootloader (which works) and when I go to recovery mode I get the following screen. I get the same screen when doing it with ADB (adb reboot recovery).
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
UPDATE: I also noticed that this ROM has changed my folder structure. All the folders used to be stored in /sdcard/ directory. Now it keeps moving ALL my folders into a /sdcard/0/ and android auto populates new folders. it did it twice and now my folder and files are located in /sdcard/0/0/. Any fix to this?

LMAO!
The stock recovery, yes. You need to use goomanager or rom manager to reinstall the custom recovery. At which time you should be able to put things back together.

The ROM did not change your file structure. It is the 4.2 update that does that. Doesn't matter stock or custom ROM you are gong to get the new file structure.
Clean ROM may have killed performance for you, but you have something else going on because Clean ROM is working great for many many users.
As for your growing 0 folders you need to update your recovery to stop that from happening.
