So I've tried to revert back to the stock ROM using ODIN at it always fails right at the very end. Here's what ODIN says in its message box;

After rebooting from the fail it gives a screen saying "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" and I can't open recovery but I can get into download mode again. I'm using an SM-G900F. Please help, I'm not a fan of £350 paperweights.

I've looked before but I've never managed to find one for my model, maybe I'm just dumb and not looking in the right place. Also I've heard that PIT files can potentially brick your phone so I'm a little hesitant
Well from the looks of the ROM name you're trying to flash, it's a G900F
PIT file is very easy to find for that model

You're a saint mate, thank you so much, I used the 16gb 900f pit from the link you gave alongside one of the ROMs in your signature and its back to working order

Hello, i recently got a used s5 running 5.0 lollipop Poland latest build. I tried to root it and install customer recovery but was met with that recovery is seandroid enforcing something error. I looked on google found a workout to pull the battery out as soon as Odin finishes flashing Root. The situation is that i have rooted the phone and have also installed TWRP but when i press power +vol up + home to enter recovery it still does display that seandroid error for 3,4 seconds and then boots into recovery.....and i am not able to root my device normally (without pulling battery immediately). My question is that if i download that PIT file from the link you gave and flash it with odin will it delete my EFS or modem folder? ...will all these issues be resolved if i flash S5 16 GB pit file?

Most likely you tried to flash the wrong firmware/rom for your phone and that's why it failed.
Your best bet is to download the official stock firmware from http://SamMobile.com
and Odin flash it. Make 100% sure that the firmware you download is the right one
for your specific phone's model.
Good luck!

I installed few days ago 4.4.2, and CP_I9505XXUFNA5 and BL_I9505XXUFNA5. It has to much bugs so I decided to go back.
I tried to install stock rom from SamMobile with PDA in Odin and got this error.
I flashed just now TWR and GSM_Modem_XXUEMFK_and_LTE_Modem_XXUMFK and some custom rom 4.3 (google edition).
It installed but system keep crashing. I tried couple of roms and same situation. It is crushing all the time.
Could it be problem with bootloader

You can no longer downgrade to stock 4.3 mate, thats why your getting this error.. flash the 4.4.2 leak and that should fix your problem.

Oh yes! I forget, I installed FNA1 not FNA5 and i could come back to 4.3 because FNA1 dont have new bootloader... I rode that FNA5 have new bootloader and u can go back to 4.3.
The best choice is how said @Repulsa , U must install FNA5 and after install Philz-touch, CWM or TWR and install any 4.4.2
I hope that we helped to you! :good:

Well, first of all, your bootloader has been upgraded to Kitkat's.
So you can't flash a JB ROM.
Keep trying different Kitkat ROMs.
Try the leaked one.
And if you are willing to trip knox, you can use a custom ROM.
Got it working! What I did was
Download the Firmware you require, in my case for the UK Vodafone Version for the SM-N9005 4.4.2 I used this
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=25990
I then downloaded Odin 3.07 as 3.09 wouldnt work for me!
http://www.android.gs/download-odin-3-07/
Now this alone wouldnt work for me then I found a similar thread that provided some info.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2662373
On this thread they link to a .pit file to flash with the stock ROM, I used this along with the Firmware I downloaded earlier.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50614669&postcount=77
So now it would work and I am succesfully on 4.4.2, now once its all running and I got the the Samsung Logo I took the battery out, booted in recovery mode, cleared the cache and the performed a factory reset... Once the phone resarted I went through the normal process of setting it up and viola...
Ill add that although it says it was UK Vodafone mine was spanish? I dont know wether that was because of the .pit file? Ill let the experts decide on that one..
Simple thing though, change the language and remove the vodafone app that came with it in spanish...
Hope its of some help to people.

i rooted my s4 a while back, then unrooted by flashing XSA-I9505XXUEMK9-20131212101727 through odin

i used a pit file to flash with XSA-I9505XXUEMK9-20131212101727 (same firmware again), except during the middle of this process, the connection between my cable and phone broke
tried pit + XSA-I9505XXUEMK9-20131212101727 (same thing) on odin 3.09 after the first attempt, it gives me a fail and this

Although this message your phone is in download mode
change usb port and try again
try different port
Fixed it somehow........
actually disregard all that, i flashed the pit file by itself in odin 3.09 and everything works again O_O
i'm missing an app which is weird...
i still can't reflash XSA-I9505XXUEMK9-20131212101727 through odin though, it still gives me a fail, which ends up ruining everything again, so i reflash the pit and now this happens
i did a factory reset, now samsung keyboard keeps crashing and the menu and back button do nothing
wth is happening ._.

ok Good luck!
I've been rooting and stuff since 2012. I got a S4 AT&T I337. I rooted with Geohots app. I don't know what its called, but you just tap "make it rain" and then you install SuperSu. All that worked fine, it rooted and I took off the bloatware with TBK. And after that I tried installing TWRP. I downloaded the TWRP app and chose the right phone and model I have and flashed the TWRP recovery. Then I rebooted and It booted into download mode and I got a message in red at the top saying "stuck in odin mode". I then took the battery out and booted into download mode by holding volume Down and power and then pressed down to restart the phone. The phone works fine it's just when I boot into recovery mode It boots into this download mode thing with a message in red saying 'Stuck in odin Mode'
I installed safestrap and now when I restart the phone from the Device options. Power Off, airplane mode and restart. it gives me the option to continue and boot normally or go into recovery mode. But at the top off safestrap in says safestrap Disabled I don't know what that means.
What did I do wrong? How can I fix this? And did I make a big mistake?
I have a I337 NI1 running 4.4.2 Stock. I just got this phone off ebay so I know for a fact it probaly hasn't been messed with.
I also tired uning triangle away but that didn't fix my problem. I'm thing about just getting a Stock NI1 odin .tar and doing an emerency flash.
Do you have an i337 our an i337m? I'm not clear on that. Twrp won't work on the i337
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
I got the normal S4
You're most likely gonna have to use the Odin to stock thread in the general section. Sounds like you meant 1337 on NI1 baseband, which can't use twrp. You're right to use safestrap but it sounds like you might have mucked your phone up a bit.
I tried that but it didn't work out to well. odin almost finished but I got an error at the very very end of the flash. But I can still get into download mode. I'm thinking about flashing the MLD since the NI1 didn't work out.
How bad do you think I messed my phone up? what would you do to fix it? This is my first time working with the s4. Every other phone I had and rooted and messed with worked fine. But this s4 is something different. Do you think you can tell me the do's and don'ts on the s4. Thanks! I need to get it fixed by Friday.

Try different usb ports (use the ones in the back of the pc) and cables. Odin can be finicky. You're flashing the right file

That's what I figured it was. I'm on a little Acer laptop right now. I'm about to go use my cousins desktop. I hear those are better than laptops. I'll keep you updated man just stick with me.
ALRIGHT! All I did was go to my cousins house, install the USB driver! NOT KIES! And use his factory USB cable and it fixed it just FINE!!
I've done everything to restore to stock firmware. I used odin-v3.10.6 and Kies 3. They both stop at 4%. My firmware is T530NUUEU1BOE5_T530NUXAR1BOE5_XAR.zip. But I can flash TWRP-2.8.7 via Odin just fine. But I am running out of ideas.
T530NUUEU1BOE5_T530NUXAR1BOE5_HOME.tar.md5 (2,225,735,835 bytes)
MD5: 5358d7e9247803a164d9a8cbc713bc55
T530NUUEU1BOE5_T530NUXAR1BOE5_XAR.zip (1,351,979,593 bytes)
MD5: 5c910ca3b4599971669cddf445fef8dc
This is why I'm requesting a PIT file or another solution.
Thanks

Try taking off the .md5 extension, or try the Canadian Firmware file, or try KitKat instead.
Also try doing a factory reset in recovery before flashing the firmware file

Some reason TWRP-v2.8.7 can't mount /system when I do a wipe. Is there a way to do it manually and wipe it myself?
Thanks

I tried everything you said and I got no where. TWRP complained that the file system was read only.

I'm trying it right now. I'm just confused why Odin stops at system.img.ext4. Is the partition corrupt because its read only? But I installed a custom ROM (BlissPOP) and it worked fine.

Service firmware [SM-T530NUUEU1BOE5_XAR_SERVICE_LP.zip] didn't work. It stopped at 4% again. But I have 5.0.1 and not 4.4. TWRP won't let me check "system" under mount.

That's where Kies 3 stopped at. It stops in system.img.ext4 [Odin-v3.10.6] at the beginning of it. But it does process it but very little of it.

Correct, kies is awful don't use it. Also use Odin v3.10 or 3.09, not 1.85
Boy, do I feel very stupid...
It was the cords. I had 2 extension USB cords attached to the cord for the Tab 4 and used a different USB port.
Now, the service and the regular firmware works now.
Thanks for everything.
