Titanium Backup - Can't Access extSdCard
I recently updated to lollipop 5.0.1 on my n910u, now when I go into Titanium Backup and try to set the backup location to my external sd card I get an error saying "the current backup location ("/storage/extSdCard/Titanium Backup") cannot be accessed."
whats going on here, I think this happened before with 4.4.4 but I can't remember how I fixed it and a search for solving this on 5.0.1 yielded no results.
any clues?
Thanks.
Is no one else experiencing this?

Hi,
Can someone tell me if there is problem with titanium backup 6.1 with PA 3.98 because when I try to restore an app with just hangs at processing. Installing app and then restoring data doesn't work too. I tried restoring apps with nandroid manager bt it just installed apps without app data even though I selected app data. Thanks
Change the path in Titanium backup from /storage/emulated/0/TitaniumBackup to /storage/emulated/legacy/TitaniumBackup. Titanium will ask if you want to move the files. Say No, since they are really the same folder. It's a 4.3 thing, not a PA problem.
That should do it.
Hit thanks if it works for you.

Been thoroughly covered. You have two options to get it to work with 4.3- install supersu or point TiBu to storage/emulated/legacy.

Installing SuperSU is not necessary and it will work if one just points TiBu to the appropriate directory. Installing SuperSU is an optional workaround. Whichever one a user opts for is a matter of personal preference.
Thanks for all the replies I will try when I get time

Is there a workaround for user accounts? I changed /storage/emulated/10/TitaniumBackup to /storage/emulated/legacy/TitaniumBackup but it is still hanging. would the SuperSU workaround work?
Despite there's a lot posts with the same error, however I've readed all of them, followed all the possible solutions and nothing, that's why I'm writing this.
I have the latest version of Titanium Backup Pro (installed 1 hour before this post) with Busybox and SQLite in perfect condition, also I'm rooted (obvious).
I've tried with the 3 options in Preferences / App Procesing Mode (AUTO Direct, AUTO Indirect, INTERACTIVE) and nothing. Also I've tried uncheking Market Link in Preferences since someone advices it in other post. I've tried to scan the entire phone for the backups folder (wich is dumb cuz TB show me how many backups I have... however I did it). I tried to erase cache, force stop, re-install both the app and the entire ROM (cyanogenmod 10.2)... and nothing.
Titanium Backup Pro just halt on 0% when I try to do a backup.
Please guys, give me some ninja answers to fix this.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
PD: I also tried with an older version of Titanium Backup Pro... and got the same issue.
Make sure you have the latest SU binary.
Try SuperSU

That worked for me when the 4.3 leak came out, and when official 4.3 came out. I'm assuming it's the same issue.

Helium backup (available in Play) is very good imo and can be used for restoring apps and data for rooted and not-rooted devices.
Thanks, i found this app in my search but if i understand i can't remove apps, just backup.

You can long press an app so it will be hidden and not installed from backup.
My Backup Pro will do what you want too, you get My Toolbox free with it and you can UNINSTALL apps with the latter.

I used rom toolbox pro and it always failed to backup even the apps said "backup done" but nothing in the backup location also rom toolbox can't
backup the data. I've been avoid this apps since long time ago. Try to fix your titanium, it's the best. Also helium premium is worth to get. As a free one es file explorer has a features to backup but I haven't try it yet.
Hopefully it helps.

Thanks all for your help, i comeback to TB and remove apps i want. It's bloatware so i don't install them again. I try with user apps, no problem to restore. I think it's system apps where TB is not on the top.
Hi guys...
Been trying out every marshmallow ROM out there..
> Tried both CM & AOSP based ROMs.
>Tried supersu v2.46, v2.52, & v2.66
Issues :
>Not able to delete system apps (not a major issue, can live with it)..
>Not able to restore app's data (i'm using ultimate backup..)
I know that root access is provided much earlier, Thanks to Chainfire
Just wanted to know whether i'm missing something..
Thanks in advance buddies :good:
I am running titanium backup and other root based apps on cm13 just by enabling root option from developer option.
The problem must be with the app and not the ROM.
So try different backup app ( Titanium Backup is the best )

Ultimate backup doesn't work. I tried it too.
Use Titanium ( I know UI sucks but still :3 )
SuperSU also wasn't able to update binaries :|
Try Super backup. It can work without root also
Try Titanium Backup, it works. i was facing the same issue.

Actually Titatium did not work with my CM13 ROM (kumajaya) because it could not find a writable directory on my SdCard. But I moved the backups to SdCard\data\com.keramidas\TitaniumBackup and now it works flawlessly
hi,
I've been on cm 13 and backed up all my user apps with Titanium Backup v8, I even created an update.zip of my backups.
Then I clean flashed the latest Mokee 6.0.1 rom. Now I can not restore my apps either on titanium backup or via recovery and update.zip . In titanium backup, restoring gets stuck at 0% and in recovery it gives an error.
Does anyone know what should I do ?
Ok it seems that no one experienced this problem. After hours of searching and trial and error I've found a way to solve this problem.
In Titanium Backup --> preferences --> app processing mode (scroll all the way down to see it) --> change it to Interactive. If you batch restore your apps and data, it will ask you each time to install your apps (which is very annoying!), but it works and won't get stuck on 0% .
If anyone ever found a better way, please mention it.

Try Titanium Backup PRO version. Then you don't have to every time click for install. It will automatically install all the apps. You just have to do 1 click.

It was the PRO version. It seems that titanium has this problem with some android 6+ roms. The above mentioned solution(!) to install each app manually, was mentioned as a workaround for this problem.
