[Q] Unable to uninstall Wakelock Detector - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

TL;DR Google Play has only the Open option and no way to uninstall app
After updating my I337M from rooted NI2 Kit Kat to rooted OC4 Lollipop, I was unable to properly run Wakelock Detector. It was stock to stock so I didn't wipe factory settings.
Googled a suggestion to move the APK to /system/priv-app so I did that but still the same result.
Now when I want to try uninstall (so as to re-install) there is no option. Under Manage Apps the app isn't even listed. The APK is still under priv-app and I deleted it... still shows up in app drawer.
D'Oh! What else can I do to uninstall it properly?

i have the same problem

so ticked off. same here. even paid for the full version because sometimes that fixes issues like this. I can disable or freeze with titanium backup pro but can't uninstall. i think the problems happened after converting to system app. so now I have 2 frozen apps I want off my phone. On top of that the app stopped working after converting to system app. I get an error after the app loads. I emailed the developer and am waiting to hear back.

This days the application App2SD is able correct install Wakelock Detector as private , and it is able to uninstall it if it was installed as private .

[Q] Delete/deactivate system apps on rooted Nexus7

hey there,
I rooted my Nexus7 (2012) using WugFresh's Toolkit (it worked, I have root access).
Now I wanted to delete/deactivate some of the stuff I don't want/need like for example the hangouts app using the app "Root App Delete". I can choose to deactivate the app, but afterwards it still works/opens up.
So how do I actually deactivate this stuff?
thanks so much
brokaaa
I personally use Clean Master - Free Optimizer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard). It completely Uninstalls the system apps and not just deactivates them.
I use root uninstaller it will freeze, backup or uninstall apps. So you could backup hangouts (if you were ever going to want it again) and uninstall it or just freeze it to stop it working sometimes you have to uninstall it twice as the first uninstall only removes the updates

[Q] S Heatlth App malfunctioning after Rooting & Bloatware elimination

Long story short: Coming close to insanity from all notifications (but not wanting to miss e-mail and sms/whatsapp, I rooted my G900FXXU1ANG2 in order to use NotifyClean.
I, hence, also installed the Xposed framework. Subsequently, installed NoBloat and backed up and deleted a number of System apps.
Much to my demise, however, one of my favorite apps, S Health now malfunctions popping an "Unfortunately, S HealthService has stopped".
I have restored just about everything I have had backed up and deleted except for fonts, weather stuff and print services.
Still can't get the app back to it's original state. The best I have managed to achieve is to have the app run but unable to save my (profile) data (which renders the app rather useless).
I have also tried setting the app back to its original state (uninstall updates + force stop) and updating it again from Samsung.
Alas, no dice.
Can anyone help?

It's due to an incompatibility with Xposed framework. Search xda forum and you will find the work around solution (don't remember where I read it). But there is a solution!

Help with Barclays Banking app

Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows anyway of getting the Barclays banking app to work I'm running Alexis Rom so rooted and of course the app detects root and closes so I have hiden root from the app using magisk and then also hid magisk the app now does not detect root but crashes as soon as you click on the app anyone found a way of running the app with root?
i managed to fill in the information for loging in but once i confirm it was giving me some error
i have hidden the barclays and the magisk manager
didnt tried to call them and see what that error was but i think it may have worked once they registered the phone once again
try to reset the data maybe when you had root once you opened it it remembers now and doesnt want to let you in
Try reinstalling or clearing data and dalvik cache
Delete all data the app has, deinstall, change device ID (apps on play store), reinstall the banking app and retry.

Downgrade system app

So, I stupidly tried to upgrade my oneplus contacts app from 3.4.2 to 4.0 (which I assume is for android 11) and now the app just force closes every time and is unuseable. I'm on android 10 10.5.12AA
On google I used to be able to uninstall updates but I don't see that with the oneplus system apps.
Any tips?
TIA
Nobody?
Still can't use oneplus contacts app. It just force closes every time.
Had to download google contacts, which is ok but I've been enjoying using more of the oneplus apps.
How did you update? Did you remove the system app and then installed the new version or just simply installed the new versionv without removing?
If latter, just disable the app, it'll tell you that all updates will be uninstalled and the app will be restored to factory version. Once done, just enable it again, and don't update.
it was the latter but updates don't uninstall when you disable the app.
That's the way it always worked on my google phones.
I just tried again and it just disables the app and nothing more.
Thanks for trying to help.
