Hello all,
I have just upgraded my note 3 to lollipop and have an issue with sms pop ups on lock screen.
I get a pop up but it says New Message rather then who it is from and then has Message hidden.
When I go to Message settings I have preview message ticked.
Just wondering how I can get name of who message is from to display and then have a preview also?

I am using a SPRINT MOGUL CDMA
I get a POPUP "Text message is not SENT" which waits for me to close it "OK" when its sending a message larger than 160 chars. Until i close this popup it wont receive any other messages. And this is where I am stuck...

ANyone know of any registry area that can be tweaked pertaining to this issue

Hi sorry if this has been posted before but I couldn’t find it. I have a G2 Touch the problem I have is when I receive an sms text message it displays the message as soon as I get it the background fades out and the message appears in a highlighted window along with the sender. What I want it to do is show there is a message in the notification bar then manually go to messages and open it in there. This is the way it happened when I first got the phone and it then started displaying them on receipt. I don’t have any sms apps installed but I just can’t find a way of stopping this from happening. Thank You in advance.
Hey I noticed when I get a text it only shows message received on the notification and I have to open it to see who sent it also I don't see a preview of the message. On my old phone s3 I'd see contact who sent it and it would give a preview is there a way to do this on note 3 or no ?
Try this, open sms app, touch menu key to go to settings, select the more tab, check the "preview message" box.

I have a Galaxy S4 from AT&T that just updated to Android Lollipop last night. I've been trying out SlideLock, but I wanted to try out Lollipop's new lockscreen and liked it - except for the group message notifications. For regular SMS messages, I can see the sender name and a preview of the message. However, for group messages, that come in as MMS, I just get the notification "a new message has arrived." I don't know why this is happening, and I made sure that the option for enabling a preview of the message was enabled in settings. I have a passcode on the lockscreen, but I can still see previews for SMS, just not MMS. Thanks in advance!
I have a rooted Galaxy S4 and anytime I use the gmail app and the other stock mail app. One for personal email and one for work email. Every time I get a new message in either app, it shows a preview of the message on the notification screen if I drag it down. I want to disable the message preview on that notification screen but have not found a way to do it. I have done it on my text message app and was able to turn it off there. But, I can't find anywhere to turn off the message preview for the two email apps. Does anybody here know of a way to do this or possibly a mod to install that will remove it? Just to clarify, I want to keep the notification just turn off the preview of the message. Thanks.
I'm curious about this too. I've been looking everywhere but didn't find a solution. Did you find anything on it?
