Nextbook Flexx 11" / Onda v975w / Teclast x10HD ???
i got the Onda v975w, i think its great.
Pros:
1.Battery Life.
2.Screen.
3.Build quality.
4.HDMI out.
5.almost identical design to Ipad Air so fairly easy and cheap to get case, covers, Keyboards etc for it.
Cons:
1.Only 1 Micro USB which is used for OTG or charging, cant do both at once unless you get a very select cable.
2.Slow read/write on sd cards even if its a fast class 10 card.
3.No UK mains plug, just European with a travel adaptor
4. Cameras are terrible (who the fk buys a a tablet for the camera anyway)
Had mine about 9 months now. used daily and no faults have appear yet.
Dont know much about the other 2 but i recommend the Onda V975W.

I happened to catch this today and looked at the specs and the price. I couldn't help but compare it to the Archos 101.

Anyone know more about it? Other than being OS 2.1, it seems to have some nice extras over the 101 like built in GPS and an Ethernet jack.

is it captive touchscreen? i would guess not because if it was you wouldn't need a stylus.
Haven't seen this particular tablet before, but seen hundreds like it.
There's no way they can provide all those specs without cutting corners, which means the overall experience won't be great. Also, looking at the images, looks like they've stuck a custom launcher on top.
This is probably one of the reasons Google have withheld the Honeycomb source code. If they released it now, any fly-by-night startup can churn out poor quality, cheap tablets running HC. People pick these up based on the "great price" and then find out they're a PITA to use, with none of the smoothness, flair or ease of use that you'd get with a Xoom, Transformer or (say it quietly) an iPad. The opinion they then come to? "Android is rubbish."

Just got one.
This one only has 1 Micro Slot.
Positive:
Wifi, thouch screen and GPS function well.
Easy to install from the market.
I love the size because it's so much easier to use than an android phone.
It's an external GPS receiver
The display is fine.
Stylus is usefull because some web buttons are soooooooooooo small
Negative:
Power cable connection broke within 24 hours
USB is not activated/blocked for PC connection
Two hardware buttons sank in frame (still can use them)

It has great hardware for that price. Some would say that 1Gb is not enough but I have this tablet and I can say it is. Tablet is a fast, fluid. 1Gb ram on this optimized OS is enough for a tablet. Google Chrome and Internet Explorer can without any problem show all sites, games can also run smoothly. (Despicable me is working great)
All sites tell that this CPU can run on 1.8ghz but Intel Atom processor Z3735G for me works at 1.33 GHz. Is there any way to enable "turbo" or what?

This is my first Windows tablet and it is even faster than Android which I bought for same price- 116$.
I am glad that Windows tablet are becoming cheaper and cheaper and Kingsing W8 is working great for me.

yes, i see gizchina has reported that this is the cheapest windows 8.1 quad core smartphone at $100, i guess it's official price, not for reseller, and also know good news that Kingsing s2 and Kingsing W8 has a giveaway activity from 1949deal. Best, cheap 8-inch Windows Tablet's the TW801. Hands down.
I picked up the TW801 from MicroCenter open Box for $118. Best $118 I ever spent. It's got a reliable HDMI-out, a Full-sized USB 3.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a miniUSB for charging (and you can also use it for data, I tried).
I run Fedora 17 (I'm in a Linux 101 course at my community college) using VMware while running Chrome and Amazon Kindle all at the same time while taking notes in Chrome--and I use a Motorola Lapdock for a second screen. This thing runs absolutely brilliantly. Only downside is the pathetic battery life. But for about $120, it blows the Dell Venue 8 Pro, Lenovo Miix2 8-inch and the rest of the 8-inch tablets (for me) way out of the water. I've been able to play 1080p videos on a 60hz TV with minimal stutter at the beginning and smooth sailing from then on (using YouTube). I'm sure I wouldn't have a problem watching anything else, either. If the Venue 8 Pro can handle games, this one probably can too, though the only thing I tried on it was Second Life, haha, and that ran decent.

Lucky you. In europe you can't buy that tablet i found it on internet. And was like woow i want. But imposible to buy here. Yes for like 220euro way to overpriced.
But yeah realy nice tablet for that price witg full usb 3.0
The 5-Point Multi-Touch is a weak point of this tablet.
Well after an interminable wait, largely due to US customs sitting on it for 8 days, the W8 finally arrived last week. After 6 days of using it I am more than impressed. Very responsive, and certainly fast enough for the sort of things you do on tablets. The cameras aren't too impressive but that isn't a priority for me. Using a full windows desktop on an 8" widescreen is a bit of an interesting experience but you can do it. I think I'll pick up stylus as my fingers ain't all that dainty! Battery life isn't stellar but it is no worse than my nook HD+, and the display is a whole lot better than the nook's. Overall worth the $116 and quite pleased with my purchase.
W8 Windows version?
Does anyone know the exact Windows version that these tablets use?
I have one that has a standard Win 8 install but the touch is not operational.
The touch is working as it operates when I did the recovery process, so I am assuming that it just doesnt have the correct version installed
Any ideas?

There is a new tablet on the market which I believe is the best deal you can get for a tablet. I was looking for Teclast X98 Air for a long time and I am excited about the dual-OS (android & windows 8.1) but it is way too expensive. ~240$. This instead, offer something almost similar. The only difference is the lower resolution, but that shouldn't be really a problem, it is still good for a 8" tablet: 1280x800 IPS screen (up to 10-finger touch) and 4200mAh battery, but the longevity of the battery compared to X98 should be compensated by the lower 8" display and much lower resolution. The resolution ratio is also 16:10.
The BIGGEST advantage is that this tablet supports SD cards to up to 128GB!! This is the most amazing thing. X98 can barely support 32GB which is close to nothing when you are operating a Windows.

Have anyone got this tablet or does anyone know anything about it? How does it perform? Is it worth buying? I want to buy myself a tablet, but I do not want to end up with a junk after a month.
Lated edit: I've just asked TinyDeal support and told me that Teclast is supperior hardware and quality-wise. It just sucks so bad that Teclast X80h supports only 32GB SD cards. It is so frustrating. I would have ordered it right away

I say go for it! I have the Asus Vivotab Note 8, and I love it! It has similar specs to the one you are looking at. In all honesty I love the 8" form factor. It really is the perfect size.

This slightly changed by the time I posted this. I talked to TinyDeal and they recommend PIPO W2F instead of Onda and Teclast because it is of better quality. I really am in doubt now. They told me that Onda is the worse of the other 2 companies, so definitely I am not going to go for it just to save 10 bucks.
Is anyone out there? Got my ONDA today it should be perfect for me because i probably won't need to work the processor very hard.
I'm having a problem in windows sd card drivers.
I've managed to update it and it's on the latest version of Windows 10.
The problem is that sometimes the sd card dosn't show up on after boot.
SD STORAGE CLASS CONTROLLER driver seems to be stopping.
I've tried wiping the os this helped until i booted into android then when i booted back to windows the sdcard was missing again.
I've just got a 128gb for the the device and was really hoping to use it.
Looks like I'm sending this back for a refund. Lame
Let's hope my teclast is better.

I currently have an Acer w4 8 inch win 8 tablet and it serves me pretty well, 64GB, gets 8-9 hrs batter life. The screen is only 1280X800
I'm intrigued by some of these new Chinese Win 8 tablets that offer 1080P+ screen resolutions, dual boot Android, are thin and resemble Ipads and ar pretty cheap most being under $200
It is hard to find some real user experience with them though and some real opinions would be great
So far my search has only come up with two possibilities
Onda V891w 64GB
Chuwi V89 64GB
Are their anymore 64GB variants of these types of tablets? I'm familar with Teclast from their portable audio days and like their hardware but can;t seem to find a model they offer with 64Gb of space. My current Acer w4 is 64GB and I have 30GB free with not much installed so I'd probably be pushing it with a 32GB model right off the bat. The main reason I'd switch from my Acer W4 is to play around with dual boot android and to get a high res screen
So some questions
On the dual boot Tablets do any of them have access to the Google play store? I suspect not so can google play be side loaded and actually run official google play apps?
Does Android run well on these?
How is the battery life on these types of tablets? is 7-10 hrs possible?
Does the high res screen bog down the Baytrail processors compared to the lower res screens?
How are people dealing with a 32GB Win tablet? Don't you run out of space quickly?
I see on alot of the youtube videos some of the menu's in Win 8.1 are in Chinese, is this still the case when you change the language in Windows to English?
Beside the two models I have listed are their any other worth considering that offer 64GB space?
Thanks for any feedback, I have used Chinese brands before in the Portable audio world even loading custom roms etc on them and I'm not opposed to some tweaking if need be.

That Onda w981v is a failure as most Onda products are. Same thing applies for Chuwi. The only brand I would recommend is Teclast. I got X80h because it was cheap. 125$ shipped with DHL. 32gb is not enough for a Dual-OS tablet. Only 6Gb left. I don't have any problems. Did all the updates and works perfectly. It is fast considering that it has a 17$ Intel Atom processor. Battery isn't great, around 3-4 hours. Games work great. Tested Warcraft 3, Mafia, Quake 3 Arena and hadn't any lags. It has Toshiba eMMC which is fast. If that w981v was a quality tablet, it would have been the best deal ever at just 155$. But I am happy with my X80h.
At the moment I don't see myself paying a cent more for any other Dual-OS tablet than X80h. But that's just me. I do not need 64GB eMMC as I have USB port connected all the time and have 40mb/s speeds via 64GB USB stick. It's just a tablet, not a laptop. And the most important thing is that at the moment I believe X80h is one of the most stable chinese tablets on the market. They have all the high quality components. Chuwi, Onda, Pipo etc are far behind Teclast.

If I was you, I would avoid Teclast. Their hardware build quality is sometimes questionable (look at the X10HD) and their version of a dual boot OS has so many issues. (again look at the complaints by users of X10HD). In terms of build quality, PiPO and Onda are 2 of the best. Ondas dual boot system seems to be much more solid. These two manufacturers actually have good quality tablets that feel worth the money. I'm not sure about Chuwi, Ployer or Cube in terms of build quality.
Honestly if you're going to get dual boot, then you should get 64GB minimum. A dual boot OS on 32GB is a joke. You are limited for space on both sides.
If you want to get a good overview of some of the tablets on the market, then follow @Hendrickson who is a XDA member and runs his own Youtube channel reviewing many of the Chinese tablets. Chris does a great job and you will get more insight into what you should be looking out for.
Yea looks like I'll stick with my Acer w4 64GB Win 8.1 tablet until the cherry trail Tablets are out. The only thing of interest in these were the higher res screen and the Dual boot OS but even a 64GB version would leave the win 8.1 side with very little space. I have about 30GB of free space on my Acer W4 64GB tablet. Also seems like none of these are going to get the 9HR battery life of my Acer as well. These are interesting tablets but they don;t seem ready for primetime.

I looking to buy tablet that the main use of it will be watching movies (not online watching). At a max of 200$ ordering online.
After about a week of searching I got to 3 tablets that I not sure with one will be best for me.

I need that the tablet will run 720p, 1080p movies smoothly and good screen.
That it will support as much memory as possible (v102w stands to support 128gb SD card).
Good battery and charge via USB to USB cable like smartphone (to charge the tablet from the car)
Will be able to support if possible external drive of 250-500GB or disk-on-key and read movies directly from the drive. It's what OTG therefor if I not mistake.
And that the tablet will be well build because most of the use will be done outdoors or in a car.
If you think there is a tablet that better or cheaper that will get me my needs you welcome to recommend.
