Cracked glass on Arc.

my Arc fell yesterday and its got this strange big crack.
basically the screen works just like before the scratch, and you can barely see the crack itself if you look at the screen frontally, it only becomes apparent once you start tilting the phone from an extreme angle
the crack itself is pretty big, starting from the bottom right corner of the "space" button to the bottom left corner of the "Q" button in the stock keyboard app (portrait mode).
what i like to know is how is the Arc screen constructed? Mineral glass on top + LCD screen + Digitizer? or is the mineral glass and lcd screen glued together?
if it is the first is it possible to just peel of the mineral glass and glue another one? or do i have to buy a new screen all together?
thanks for you support.
not sure if it's true but I've read that the digitizer and the screen are vacuum sealed, and that once separated, result simply in a colourless touch sensitive black screen - I actually have similar hairline fractures beneath the surface of my arc's LCD so I ordered a pre-fitted screen/digitizer from ebay which is already encased within a front housing - I've paid a repair company to fit it as a precaution, although the youtube teardown looked relatively straightforward, especially if you don't need to extract the screen from the front chassis as you've got a substitute ready to go - should have mine back by the end of the week, but it will cost me eighty pounds for both parts and labour - if you're confident doing the work yourself it should cost you just over half of that ......

[Q] I broke my Nexus Glass, LCD or just lens?

Hi, I broke my Nexus 4, the display still works but touch works only on upper part, I have found a glass lenses replacement for about 14 dollars I dont want to buy a whole new lcd as it cost about $100.
On ifixit I havel also found this:
The glass is fused to both the display and the display frame. So don't crack the glass unless you're good with a heat gun, or you're fond of replacing the glass, display, and frame together ($$$).
So are there any guides how to do it with heat gun?

touchscreen not working with new screen lens glass

I unmount Screen Lens Glass already and touchscreen working without front glass just when i put new glass (from link aboved) is not working:/ What is the reason of this situation? bad part?

Camera glass/lens replacement

Hi,
My camera glass is broken. One linear crack on cam. The camera is working well, but in some cases light is on photos. I found these lenses:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32813980145.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.561b514b56kXVI
My question:
1. These lenses are all what I need to repair? Or additional camera glass I need?
2. How to replace it? Should I heat the camera module, remove the old one and insert the new one? Or I have to remove the screen/backplate/MB/battery etc to do it?
If someone else is looking for the answer; I bought the lens from AliExpress (not sure about store). I received 4 elements:
-2 glass + back cover elements - it's outer glass and inner hidding color layer inside. If it's glossy, the camera will be tech-looking element.
-2 3m double side tape for inner circle - i think, the tape is too thin, like linear tape with LCD screen. My suggestion is to use glue like B-7000 if the tape is not enough.
As some youtubers suggest, I cracked down my cam lens and throw out with the smallest 1mm screwdriver. I had full covered lens, but corner-to-corner scratch did linear breaks of light. Hitting and forcing the glass makes some more holes that makes the glass disasembly possible. Cleaned up the glass and glue - watch out , don't touch inner element or you can damage the camera module. Reassembly the glue and reassembly the glass element (make sure that the glass inside is clean). Works great for me.
If you can disasembly LCD-side phone, then you can disasembly upper motherboard and try to threw out glass from inside.
Btw - I have black LCD and black camera lens with gold phone

[GUIDE] Repair torn earpiece speaker membrane

This may be of very limited use but I believe I'm far from the only one still using this device and the torn speaker membrane is very common.
Prerequisites:
Moto G3 with torn speaker membrane, preferably in need of replacement screen
Donor Moto G3
Standard tools for disassembly (see iFixit etc. for reaching the point where you have the screen removed)
As this requires removing the LCD it's hardly worth doing unless you have a cracked screen that needs replacing. In my case I had a device with various issues, bought another device with a broken screen but otherwise functioning, and simply swapped screens. You can get spares & repairs Moto G3s for very little (<£15/$15).
Ideally your donor screen doesn't have a torn membrane. If it does, as in my case, you can do the following to repair it:
The entire grille/ membrane is stuck to the glass from the inside.
Carefully run a sharp knife underneath the hard silver plastic and lever it out.
The plastic membrane is actually 2 sheets. Use a knife, fingernail, tweezers etc. starting at the edge to peel the first layer away: it is a thin tranparent plastic sheet surrounding the hole. You don't need to worry about removing cleanly, you won't need these any more.
Then do the same on the grey membrane, which is thicker and held on more securely, requiring more force to remove.
Now remove the entire bottom main speaker grille part from the your broken screen (i.e. whichever screen you'll no longer be using)
This simply has some sort of material mesh-like grille which can be peeled off carefully.
Once removed, align the edge of the material with your earpiece speaker piece and stick on. The mesh is longer so you have to trim the end off with scissors.
You now have a new earpiece speaker grille, with a cloth-like membrane like the main speaker grille, rather than the original plastic membrane.
This can now be replaced as the glue should still hold.
Hope this helps somebody despite being a rather convoluted process. Waterproofing not tested yet! And note the battery light is not diffused as before so appears brighter.
Great write up and thanks for taking the time to post
Nice one even I tore but no issues facing on speaker
