I did a update (OTA) to both of the both of housholds S5's (nordic) 3 days ago.
And both phones starts to drain battery like crazy.
Does anyone has a solution for this ?
2 sms's takes 2% of the battery.. One picture about 3%

Did you find a fix for this yet? I updated this morning, at 7 am and at 9 it was at 15%
Found the fix though. Just restart the phone an extra time.
restarting did not help us
I flashed the phone back with Odin, that helped.

I have a Australian version of Samsung Note 4 SM-N910G, last night was updated to 5.0.1 and this morning I notice my phone is very laggy and the battery life is absolutely crappy.
I unplugged charger from 9am (100% fully charged) and by the time around 11am, the battery only has 34% left, I only use the phone to check email and browse facebook for a while, not play any clips or anything like that, did not play any game. Is anyone having the similar problem or know how to fix these problems?
I update to 5.0.1 via OTA, my phone is not rooted and the firmware is the stock ROM from Samsung. I have so lots of important stuff inside the phone and do not wish to perform factory reset option if I can. Any help would be appreciated!!!!

I bought the oneplus 5 on 19th oct 17 got the phone on 21st oct 17, battery drains while using the phone , no bluetooth on only 4g is on no apps are in the background. Amazon said technician will check the phone by visiting your home. they told to download the app first and then told to watch a video on youtube for 6-7 minutes or record something for the same time, battery drained by 3% agent told me if its was 4 to 5 % we can replace the phone. I'm worried I use the phone for 20-30 minutes battery drains by 9-10 % without using it any app or youtube just whatsapp chat messages I read. never happened with my one plus3t. any suggestions will help me, thank you in advance. did the factory reset also just 2 days old phone. please help. thanks in advance.
What oxygenOs version are you using? Please charge your phone to 100% and then use it and tell how much u get screen on time.
When you did the factory reset did you restore your phone from a cloud backup? If you are having an issue you should choose the give your phone a fresh start option when you set up your phone after a factory reset.
You should also Google or search XDA for information on What's App battery drain. I don't use the app but I've read that there's a bug in some builds that causes battery drain.
Hello, I'm writing this because I noticed that my battery life's a lot worse than on march patch. I'm currently on april patch. I also noticed that android system is draining most of my battery (22%, while screen uses only 18%). My phone's not rooted but i don't think that matters. Also i lost about 1-1.5 hours of sot since the last update. Anyone experiencing this?
Actually I am doing fine with april, try disabling fingerprint gestures and turn off sync.
Hi everyone, I have S8 with the following configurations.
- Model Number: Sm-G950FD
- Android Version: 8.0.0
- Baseband Version: G950FXXU2CRF1
The battery drainage since the last 2 updates is absurd!.
I leave the phone on while sleeping (no wifi, mobile data or AOD) & it can lose up to 40%.
A 100% battery can make me go a few hours before it hits Zero if I'm using my phone.
I dont think this is normal at all.
P.S. I tried the following solutions with no use.
- Disable Chrome
- Format cache partition
- Factory Reset

Yes after june security update battery life is worst.. within 9 to 10 hours battery drains completely
I got july security update. Lets see if it helps to do it.
No clue how you all have those Problems. Im 25 hrs in and have 59% left... 2 hrs of SOT so far but 4 hrs of BT Streaming Podcasts, which drains too.
If I wanted I can do 3-4 days without charging, which is the best I had on any smartphone to date...
I've had my P Smart 2019 for about a year nwo, the first 3/4 months the battery lasted all week (little use as it's a second phone). Now it doesn't even last a day.
'Cell Standby' is the highest usage, no matter what I try I can't get it to stop eating the battery.

Clear/wipe cache
Turn off wifi calling

The issue was also happening on the later versions of Android 9 too.
Even putting the phone in Airplane mode overnight I end up with 50% of my battery gone by morning.
If there's a custom ROM of plain android 10...anything! I'm willing to try it.
