when i connect to my home wlan it connects and works good but after a while it goes off i mean the wifi is still enabled but i just lose connection and it keeps scanning connected disconnected and so on and never connect again unless i restart the router which is NetGear, anyway i tried all apps that can fix that nothing worked my mini is foryo 2.2.1 S5570JPKC1, i updated the frimware, made hard rest nothing worked. can anyone help with that i need an app that really changes the power setting for wifi or any other app that can help.

i have the same problem and i really regret buying an android phone
i have nokia n81 and n82 and i have samsung star and star II and all of these handsets works perfectly with my router .why should we waste our money and time on stupid android with faulty software drivers and even google don't care any more

I have an international version of the S3 with a weird problem.
When I have Wifi connected my phone can't sign in to Google talk and wont receive notifications. I can browse and download stuff though.
If i switch to 3G all is well and working. I have tested on different networks and I have a galaxy tab 10.1 connected to the same wifi without problems so it's no ports in the firewall that's causing it.
If I restart the phone it works for about a day then it fails again and I have to restart the phone to get G-talk over wifi.
I have tried setting the phone a static IP, switched "Keep wifi on during sleep" on and off, tried the trick with power saving in debug menu but nothing helps.
Has anyone experienced the same and can someone maybe suggest a fix?

Hello everyone, and thank you for reading.
I've had an issue since I've bought this phone and after looking around and trying a few different things I now turn to you for help as my last resort.
The problem is that the phone keeps disconnecting from the internet. I don't use a data plan so i only use the internet and all the related apps when i am connected to a WiFi network (Home or other). But what happens is that I'm connected one minute and sending and receiving messages on Facebook messenger or even whatsapp and the next minute it just drops the connection. I have to actually go into wireless settings every time and hit connect for it to reconnect, and it keeps doing this over and over.
I figured that maybe if i got the updates (following this technique: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rEt6wPZDnA) for it that would fix it, but apparently it didn't do anything. I currently have windows 7.8 installed successfully with all the other updates that were found.
If there's anything you could do to help me i would greatly appreciate it.

My Galaxy S5 stops receiving data from my office WiFi network though still connected. My SGS3 was working fine and all other phones here at work have no problem with the WiFi. We are working with WPA2. Just to clear things up a bit; as soon as I get to work, it's working fine and after a while it stops receiving data. I cannot navigate anywhere. The WiFi is still connected and disconnecting and reconnecting from the network does not solve the issue. A soft reboot solves the problem partially (the problem persists after a while). I have also checked with our sysadmins only to confirm that they do not block anything on the WiFi; this only happens on local LAN.

I have a note 4 N910G. After the firmware update it seems like wifi is acting weird. When I turn on wifi in a wifi enabled area with the password already saved, it doesnt connect automatically UNTIL i swipe down, press and hold wifi, then it connects. If anyone has any advise on this please let me know. Im not rooted yet though.
Anyone? No solution?
