Hi,
I've buy an unlock g1 but first of all I don't know what firmware I have and where to see it.
Once I see what is my firmware, how I can update with the latest version ??
If I update my fw I lost the phone unlock ??
sorry for my english !!
ciao
Dan
Hi!
You have firmware 1.0, all have this firmware. You can see it in Menu > Settings > About Phone
At the moment Htc or Google dont release a new firmware, we only a build update, RC30 1.2
I know you want people to search for the answer before asking here in the forum. And I have searched for an answer but I haven´t found a straight and clear answer to my question.
I have a SGS4, completely stock.
I want to root it only to disable Samsung´s bloatware on the phone.
Mostly because of those damn update notifications even though I have disabled the apps in the built in Apps Manager.
I was thinking of rooting my phone with towelroot and then freeze those apps with Titanium Backup to get rid of them.
Then I´m gonna run Triangle Away to reset an eventual trigger of Knox and get rid of the triangle warning.
(Will the freezing procedure even trigger Knox?? )
I do NOT intend to flash any custom ROM.
Do I still have to make a NANDROID Backup?
And as I´m having their 2nd newest big phone and looking forward to the next official Android update, my most imortant question is:
Will I be able to update OTA or in KIES if I´ve rooted and used Triangle Away?
Is the only thing I have to do, to unfreeze the apps I´ve frozen in Titanium Backup, run Triangle Away and then unroot in Superuser?

I've tried it.
Successfully rooted my Galaxy S4 with towelroot.
Installed superSU v 2.02 by Chain fire from his website as Play Store doesn't have the most recent version. Checked root with Root Checker Basic. Got root!
Installed Titanium Backup and bought Pro version.
Have tried freezing Samsung ChatOn so far.
Checked phone status and Knox is NOT triggered! Which was my biggest concern.
Have not flashed any ROMs or anything else, and do not intend to either.
Guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens when next Android update gets out!

Go to settings, your device and check for the updates. The answer will be: Yes, there is an update, no there isn't an update yet or Your phone isn't official, you wont receive any updates. The last one is it xD
Nope.
In phone settings, in status, it says Phone Status: Official
And when checking for updates it connects to the server and checks. Then says the aren't any updates. But that's because there aren't any updates available. Was already running the latest update (4.4.2) for my phone before rooting.

So you will receive the updates, no problem bro
Great to hear
Hopefully freezing apps with titanium won't change my phone status.
But I've already frozen the one that nagged me. Samsung ChatOn and everything's fine after that procedure.

Me too, keyboard and some others are gone when updated to B521. I've tested B507 and everything were good, but upgrading to B521 made problems.
Do a Factory Reset and check if the apps are restored. Warning: it will delete all your apps, data, etc in internal storage.
i tried to factory reset , it didn't restore the keyboard etc , i did a background and installed the B507

You have to downgrade to B374 (Indian version) then install the B507
http://pantomath.xyz/how-to-update-indian-honor-6-to-lollipop-2nd-beta-b507/
Maybe you also could try downgrade to b390(Taiwan version),
then upgarde B521.
By the way,my upgrade sequence is B390>B511(beta)>B521.
It is smooth and working well so far.
According to the feedback,B511 is not neccesary,so you could skip it.
Good luck!
p.s.1. I also had The issue you met when I try b380 upgrade to the 5.1.1beta version.
2. Sorry for my poor English....

It looks the same for me.
hi guys i update to 521 from 393 and it is not complete update and have little priblem for example motion control dont work....what can i do ??? downgrade or other way to do for 521 good instal..!???
Updated b380 to official b510 Indian. Update was successful but version number was b507. Then I tried to change to b521 update went fine up to 95% then it showed 'cust copy fail' then update fail. On reboot the version number was now b521 but no Google or huawei keyboard, no 4g toggle and weak 4g signal, no motion controls, phone heating up quickly. Tried factory reset but it say 'user reset fail'. So I've flash Indian b507 again now back to normal except themes app has no access to online themes and battery life not any better than b380.

Wow !! OTA for Kangvip rom ! That's great news . Maybe it's the update to B561. What improvements/bug fixes did you notice? Can you upload the 118 mb update file on mega and post the link here?
Edit: I just realized B560 isn't a Kangvip rom after all. It's the latest stock MM rom for L09 EU version. I have a L09 from middle east. I'll jump to B522 over the weekend to check if I get the update.
I received yesterday an OTA update to B560 for my MT7 TL10 . I was on B522 before. So far works very well, no difference.
Is the OTA update country related or rom related? Or is it something else? I am asking because I can see no update in France and maybe I can make the process easier with a VPN.
If you had an issue with notifications on B522 (apps are protected but notifications are often late and sometimes you have to reopen the app do get them), do you know if it is solved with B560?
Thanks!
I can find any stock firmware on huawei if anyone provide hicould link to me, we can get hicould link when your device notices ota by use packet capture.
My certificate (the last tab from "about phone") says "Serbia" and I'm from Romania. All the best !
I just received my B560 OTA update for MT7 L-09

It's official for both TL-09 and TL-10. If you're on B331 or B522 you will get the OTA if you're in Europe. Note that it may take sometime depending on the country you're in. Spanish and Romania users were the first to receive it.
Even if you don't get the OTA you can always flash the full update.app long as you're on either of the firmwares I listed earlier

I just updated to B522 and received the OTA B560 update. I have the European MT7-L09 with Serbia certificate.
I've never received any OTA updates before, being that I'm located in the U.S., so I'm pretty surprised.
I'm updating right now
I have the European MT7-L09 too, and just now update shows on my Updater. Size is 118MB.
TL-10 users that have received B560 where is our update file?

Set mine back to standard last night and went from B331 to B522 and it did the same as yours Stan.
JAZZ MT7C900B522
No OTA update yet for B560
I'll leave it standard until it's updated, maybe I'll just leave it standard anyway. It's now to be used as a tool for my new small business rather than as a phone.
I just received the update for my L09 EU B522.
To anyone who's interested, I had a havily customised setup, with root, xposed and "build.prop" mods. yet I still received the OTA
What I did, was avoided touching the /system partition.
I had systemless root and the new systemless xposed, every "build.prop" mod was done on the /data/cust/prop/local.prop instead.
I did not uninstall any stock system app, but I disabled it.
Instead of adaway (that modifies /system) I had xposed unbeloved hosts, for the same.
very happy with this setup and the effortless OTA

My Oppo is set up the same way. Systemless Xposed is supposedly not possible with Lollipop. Once I get B560 I'll probably want to re-root mine and do the systemless mods. I get OTA updates on my Oppo with OmniROM and it's easy to apply them and have a modded phone.
I remove some system apps from the Oppo. It doesn't matter and replaces them when I flash a nightly update. I don't update it every night of course. That would be so overkill. I'll probably do it maximum once a week, but if it's running good, really, why do it all the time?
BTW, MinMinGaurd is ok with systemless Xposed. My oppo has an update, auto flashes systemless SuperSU then I re-flash Xposed manually and when it reboots, all my modules are working. The OmniROM is based on AOSP, so I get much more use out of Xposed than with the Mate 7 and stock EMUI. Such a nice way to run
If Omni was available and stable for Mate 7, I'd be on it.

Lol, yes, I need it too
Recievied mine today. Around 400 mb less system usage.
Icones looks better now. More correct background color in the icons.
I will let you know if I see any big battery improvement
I installed Smart Launcher Pro and cannot get it to work. Something in B522 is locking the phone down too much and I haven't found what yet. Might uninstall the launcher and re-install just in case.
This thread is supposedly for TL-10 users to share the B560 update. Yet only TL-09 users happen to be active here. Am out!

Hi, my MX5 still running Android 5.0.1 and I want to upgrade it on 5.1 (becouse I want to install latest FlyMe 5.6). But, I can't find where to tap to check if OTA upgrade is available. There's no way to check it. Am I so stupid or what?
