I believe you need a rom in the phone to get it to charge. New batteries normally do not come charged. You can get a battery charger from ebay for only a few dollars ( I just found one for $3.99).
Or you could find someone with the same phone and ask them to charge your battery, so that you can flash again...
Thanks for the informations, I think I have to find my friend to chanrge the battery for me, so does any HTC phone say Prophet and Hermes use the same battery model as Wizard??

[Q] Which Kernel Can I Use That Will Allow Me To Use Japan Replacement Batteries

I have 3 batteries. I have the standard htc battery that comes with the phone and i just purchased 2 batteries off of ebay. The thing is when i insert the japan battery in my phone and try to run android it wont allow me to boot into android. I can run haret and all that but when android starts my phone reboots itself. I read in another forum that since my battery isnt oem the kernel used for android builds wont recognize it and errors will occur. Is there a kernel out that will allow me to use all 3 of my batteries when one dies and i swap out. Android dies fast and i would like to have a spare battery on the go so i can boot back up right away. The japan batteries work fine in Winmo, but i use Android as my main Os now. Here are The Batteries Below.

Extended media battery won't charge

So I posted this issue on the boyppc wp7 rom thread but didn't get a reply at all.
Basically, after moving from Android to WP7 the extended media battery fails to charge. All I get is alternating green and amber lights when attempting to charge the battery.
I've tried the battery on another HD2 using android and it charges fine, tried it on a stock phone and it charges fine. It just doesn't seem to charge on any WP7 rom.
Has anyone else come across this problem? If so, do you have a solution (other than dual booting to android every time i want to charge my phone).
Cheers guys
The battery controller is a known issue with wp7 on the hd2, inshort, extended batteries will not work as expected, you will get batteries not working at all or they will only use the basic 1250mA
Remember we are lucky to even get to try this OS, but it will have bugs on our device
Sent from my HD7 T9292 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
im having the same problem. i cant charge my battery and im looking for an external charger but no luck
If this helps...
I got an email from HTC accessories, if it helps here it is
"I have just been informed by our technique department that you need to update the firmwear for the battery for it to charge and work. You require wrom reversion 1.72.841.0 or later."

you just emailed HTC to ask them for help on an extended battery for the HD2 running Wp7?
and they told you to update the "firmware" to 1.72
i think there has been some confusion, the battery controller on the HD2 is different than the device this ROM was pulled from, our battery doesnt know what its doing because the drivers dont match the controller.
Run Android from the sd and charge that way, or I've read if you load MAGLDR, put the phone in usb storage, and leave say overnight, the phone will pick up the charge, not tried and tested myself but the android from sd in MAGLDR will definitely work. Pain in the ass I know having to change os but a half decent workaround until something else comes along.

magldr works, you dont need it to be in USB mode, and dont leave it over night, do it for no more than 30 min, that will give you enough to get back in to the OS, its unclear if the battery controller cuts of the charge, doing it for a long period of time "may" create some issues, like a dud battery, phone or a nice wee fire
Haha! Yeah mate, I can imagine a little fire by my bedside keeping me warm at night. It's pretty cold here but I'd rather use a blanket
Thanks for the help guys, I've managed to grab an HD2 with a broken screen to use as a charger. It's got the stock ROM on it so it should charge just fine.

[Q] Keyboard battery problem

Help! My keyboard battery seems hung. It won't discharge, it won't charge and it won't xfer power to the tablet. The other day I noticed that my keyboard battery was stuck at 55%. Odd. It fully charged the tablet however.
After doing some reading I tried draining the tablet with the keyboard attached. I got to 3% on the tablet, 54% on the keyboard. Again I charged the tablet and nothing has changed.
Question
1. Does this appear to be software or hardware?
2. If it's software can I flash the latest Cyanogen with having to reinstall or do I need to wipe the system
3. If it's hardware, can I replace the battery in the keyboard or is better to just order a new keyboard off Amazon?
Thanks

Just to clarify, the dock is still charging, but not updating? If so, that is most likely a software problem.

Are you using ASUS stock firmware or CyanogenMod custom ROM? Older versions of CyanogenMod (as well as some other custom ROMs) have known issue with keyboard dock battery charging and/or dock battery status report.
If your tablet is currently on a custom ROM, I would recommend flashing back the official stock ASUS firmware, just to test if the keyboard battery is still failing to charge your tablet.
As for alternative ROM, I would recommend trying CROMi-X (based on ASUS stock), Paranoid Android, AOKP, and etc... instead of CyanogenMod, as the official maintainers of CyanogenMod for TF300T have already abandoned Cyanogen and moved future developments to OmniROM.

[Q] New battery, new phone, stuck at 5%

I just bought a brand-new Defy+, and I can't get it to charge at all. It started at 5%, and remains there. Of course, it's just out of the box, stock 2.3.6. I'm asking here because most of the threads I've seen address phones that are already rooted and using custom ROMs, with advice on how to go back to stock.
I've also got an old MB526, without a battery but on CM7.2. So I tried charging the battery in that, and get the same. Sometimes it dips to 4%, but that's it. Then after a while it gets to 5%.
Any ideas what I can do, or try? The crappy thing is that I bought it from Amazon in the US and had a friend bring it out to me in Cambodia. So there's no chance for months to buy a new battery or anything like that.
Seems like there is a problem with the battery, either the cell are short-circuited (could be because of an old battery) or the battery chip doesn' understand when the battery is full.
Usually it is possible to fix that by a full decharge-recharge, possibly with a different charger (like in your case).
If it is not the case, I'm afraid there's nothing to be done.
Thanks, @Lurkos. I tried to let it discharge, but the phone (both of them) powers off as soon as it's disconnected from the wall socket.
When you say battery chip, where is that located? On the battery, or on the phone?
Battery problem
Very likely a battery problem. If this is a $6-10 battery from ebay, then it is sure duplicate.
I ordered a couple of them from ebay.in and both turned out to be fakes.
I am still searching for original BF5X battery for my Defy.
The only solution for you to is to remove the battery and charge it with an external battery charger for this battery. I have done the same whenever the phone shuts down in the night and I cannot get it to charge after that in the morning.
