hi yes its genuine s5 i have owned it for over a year and got direct from EE. I did try flashing pit file with odin but still the same i cant even save a picture from browser any ideas. I cant even save a picture from twitter comes up could not be saved
The only other time Ive seen an Android device say the same about no storage, was due to messed up partitions, and in that case, there was no PIT file, I had to fix it manually using ADB Shell etc
The PIT file, if flashed correctly, should repartition the phone
Did you check the "Repartition" box in ODIN when flashing the PIT file?
got it sorted what i did was Nand erase all with odin then download 4.4.2 firmware then g900f pit file loaded them into odin. Flashed phone BINGO phone booted straight away and is working perfect
Hello, having the same issue after fixing a bootlooped s5 g900f , now cant take pictures nor save thinga or download wazap media, google play seemes to work out fine but atill cant download any media , how do i get the PIT file (i have other s5 at home) can i download with odin and ipdate mine? Do i lose all the data? Van anyone pass a link to the PIT file?

So I flashed 4.4.2 that had been released yesterday with Odin and I got "FAIL! (Size)" when it tries to flash hidden.img. I first thought my phone got bricked as it was only able to get on the download mode and couldn't get to recovery mode and when I tried to flash it again it did the same error. After reading about this problem fro the internet someone said to ignore that error message and go back to download mode after flashing the rom and flash a custom recovery. I did so, went to the recovery mode, wiped data and cache and I was able to boot normally. When my phone booted up I started to have an error message that bothers me the most; "Unfortunately, Samsung keyboard has stopped working". This happens every five seconds or so. Is there any fix for this, as I'd like having Samsung's keyboard working on my phone?
You can't just ignore Odin warnings.
Almost all Odin error can be resolved by the following.
- Different usb cable
- Different usb port
- Different pc
- Reinstalling drivers.

Most likely you are flashing different size partitions. Is it stock?
If so, please download pit file for your model, flash with pit file and repartition marked, do not reboot phone, go to recovery, wipe phone and reflash again, this time without pit file and without repartition marked. Shall do the job.
Final tip: NEVER ignore Odin errors messages.

Does it have to be 4.4.2 pit file as all I found was a pit file for 4.3? Does it harm my device in any way if I try to flash with that?

should not, I used 4.3 pit to flash 4.4.2.
My phone is stuck on firmware on "upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again."
I tried Kies 3 and it doesn't recognise the phone. I tried different firmwares the invalid .4ext error and says the file too big 475000 < 512000 something among those lines. I read that I will need to re-partition the memory with .PIT file for the note 4, which is no where to be found on google. I hope someone will be kind enough to extract the .PIT file from their phone and post it here.
Cheers,
Mus

Guys I tried flash latest Sweden and have same problem size too big and ext4 failed, then I flash Philz recovery and voila phone booted everything its ok!!!
If you download a stock Samsung ROM, remove the .md5 from the end of it, and then extract the archive, you should find the PIT file in there.
I've not had to do it myself, because I'm using an S4 at the moment and was able to get a PIT file download on its own. So I can't verify 100% that it will be there, but I read it in a thread somewhere that it is.
Give it a try..
same problem
i hv same problem. but after instaling all samsung recovery.tar via odin it stuck on start up showing "android is not seandroid recovery."
i hv tried dfrnt stock firmware to flash via odin but all fails. need help?????????????
Hi guys,
I had a rooted galaxy s4 I9505, which I tried to encript before selling. After 10 hours the encripting did not finish so I rebooted it and ended up with a bootloop, that I tried to foolishly solve by going to the TWRP menu and formatting the device, the OS was lost and since then I am unable to bring it back to life. I am trying to flash a new rom with jOdin because it keeps saying that the PIT file that my phone shows is corrupt, I tried different versions of jOdin and two different computers. Kies and the like are uninstalled. I tried downloading PIT files online with no luck.
Do you guys have any suggestions? I am really lost after wasting 2 days on this.
Many thanks...
Try downloading the official firmware from sammobile. And flash using odin. That should work

Thanks Soyuz4u, but Odin keeps saying that has found a corrupted file (either the PIT file or another) and does not even start flashing.
Has anyone had this problem before?
Can't you flash a rom via TWRP? I managed to soft brick my device last night with Mobile Odin. It wiped my recovery and OS. I just flashed TWRP back with normal Odin and restored my rom backup.
Have you googled to see if there is a pit file for the memory configuration of your phone?

Try a different USB cable / port. That error is related to that a lot of the time.
Thanks for the replies guys. I couldn't flash a new ROM with TWRP because it kept saying that the .md5 file could not be found, no matter what I did. I downloaded some PIT files online but did not find something specific to my phone memory config.
I'll give it a go in a Windows platform with different USB ports to see if that helps.
Thanks again!

I don't think you have any clue what you are doing.
You say you have TWRP on your device. Then download a custom rom and flash it with TWRP.
- What do you mean with .md5 file cannot be found? You never ever use a .md5 file with TWRP. You only need to flash a .zip.
- Are you running Odin in a virtual machine? That will not work. Jodin is also outdated if i'm not mistaken.
SOLVED NOW! I installed the latest Odin on WIndows and flashed the Rom with no problem. I was unaware of Odin being outdated for Mac. Thanks all for your help again.
Hi
I have managed to F*** up my Samsung S7 Edge.
I am currently stuck on Samsung Logo , I have twrp 3.1.0.1 installed and can enter bootloader without issue.
I cannot however install stock rom through Odin, it states pit file needed, I have tried several with no results.
In twrp unable to Wipe data as unable to mount storage. Not able to install from zip as pc does not see storage.
I have tried the following stock firmware
G935FXXU1DQC4_G935FOXA1DQB1_BTU
I have tried installing new CSC which i believe has pit file inbedded.
I have tried installing each part separately BL,AP,CSC, etc
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Did you uncheck "repartition" in Odin? Do NOT repartition.

Hi Yes I did.
Hi All
Update after 18hrs i have managed to rectify the above problem.
I downloaded a Marshmallow firmware and installed CSC file. This flashed the missing pit file and then got stuck on Nand Write Start. I tried installing full firmware but same issue. I then attempted Nougat full firmware which installed!!!!!
That was slightly more stressful than it should of been. Never happened before. Some seriously dodgy looks from the Mrs.
Hello everyone,
I have a phone beyond2qlte and I accidentally checked the "Re-partition" button in Odin without PIT, the storage only recognize 32GB now (The original size is 512GB). i am so stupid and would be so grateful for your kind help.
My phone is Snapdragon and tried every method to flash TWRP but still bootloop. I just want to have a phone for normal use now, but it seems so hard....
I flashed BL,AP,CP, CSC but still failed...
Please help me. Thanks a lot

Have you attempted a factory reset?
I think you have to flash PIT file from your S10+ firmware.
here the articles you can follow :

Here're the steps to extract the Samsung PIT file from a Samsung firmware. The CSC binary contains the PIT for your Galaxy device.
