My infrared remote control apps have stopped working since I switched to Beanstalk. Is there a way to fix this?

Two options: 1. Revert to stock, or 2. install Anymote from the Play Store to control your devices.
The IR blaster and the camera use proprietary firmware from Samsung that ROMs built from source cannot include. In the case of the IR blaster, the lack of AOSP drivers means the IR blaster doesn't work at all unless using an app like Anymote, which has its own libraries. For the camera, whether it works or not depends on the software you use. The AOSP camera has a couple software filters like HDR that don't work. The Google camera may crash the camera firmware so badly that a reboot is required to restore it. There are alternatives available on the Play Store that don't have either problem, like Camera MX.
EDIT: If you've tried Anymote and it doesn't work, something else is wrong. Reverting to stock and testing the stock IR blaster software should tell you whether you have a hardware problem, or if it's software related.
Thanks for the reply. I will give AnyMote a shot. I really don't want to go back to stock rom.

Hey everybody.
So I flashed CM10.1 today. The Camera app had a few more features than the stock camera app, it used to have ISO settings and burst mode and it didn't continuously autofocus like the stock camera app did. It also had a feature called power shot. But then after I installed a few apps, i couldn't find any of those features on the camera. The apps I installed were chrome, whatsapp, facebook messenger and solid explorer. I had also removed a few cm apps like movie studio, so i wiped and reflashed the rom, but I still don't have those features. Any Idea what's wrong? My camera app is like the stock cam now. No cm features at all.
Did you flash GAPPs? If so, it replaces the CM camera with the stock Google one
Ohhhh! Okay, that makes sense. Thank you a lot!!
Isn't it possible to get the best of both worlds???
EDIT - Found the solution! thanks!
hi, i use s4 and i use Cyanogenmod 12 but camera doesnt work. i dont know why. i install this app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.billgbennett.camerafix&hl=tr
but this not solved my problem. help me please.
Go back to stock and see if it happens there. If it does, then you have a hardware issue.
this camera issue happend after i install cm 12.
Even I installed cm 12.1 in redmi note.. Camera is not working now

Camera issues are well documented with this device and Cyanogenmod. Solution: install a third party camera from the Play Store such as CameraMX. In general, the third party camera apps provide their own binaries which do not reference the ones included in Cyanogenmod, which is why they are more reliable than the stock camera app.
Hello, looks like s3 neo does not have miracst support (GT-I9301I). Even if I install the miracast shortcut from google play, doing scan yields nothing. Seems like something is missing - stupid samsung, how could they disable such basic feature in this nice phone?
Anybody knows any way to enable miracast screen sharing?
P.S. prefer to use stock ROM
Just for info, on CM 12/12.1 works almost flawlessly, you just cannot start it from quick settings, I need to go from settings every time. So if not working on stock it is software issue.
We have three G5-pluses in our home.
My wife's and mine are both on the OEM version of Oreo (downloaded here and installed through system update on non-rooted, still-bootloader-locked phones).
One will run my banking app fine -- and we can do check deposits which use the camera.
One will not -- it generates this message "RESULT_ERROR_CONFIGURING_CAMERA".
Camera versions the same.
OS Versions the same.
App versions the same.
Phone that "doesn't work" is only on that app -- any other camera app works fine so it isn't a camera problem.
About ready to pull my hair out on this one -- suggestions on how to troubleshoot?
Really, really do not want to factory reset -- it took me a day of manually installing stuff that google didn't to get it back the way I like it.
Thanks
I want to control my JVC Stereo with my Phone, but I cant find the IR Codes anywhere.
With the stock rom there was the LeTV Remote Control App that supported learning and worked fine.
Now I am on AICP 16.1 without the App. I found this Post with a Link to the Stock App.
Does anyone know if this works (and i can export the ir code) or if there is a app on the playstore that supports learning
